I have to say this is one of the best pilots I've ever been to! It's very spacious and super clean! The shower has two heads and has plenty of pressure. The water didn't getting extremely hot but it definitely got hot enough for me to enjoy my shower The only problem is there isn't a restaurant inside of the store, only Pilot food and Dunkin Donuts. But there's a Pizza Hut on the side of the store and Loves across the street with Godfathers pizza and Chester's chicken. I highly recommend this place! read more

My family of 5 stopped here on a Saturday afternoon and it was the perfect place! Cleanliness abounds and if you're looking for fresh ground coffee, this is your place! Their machines grind coffee then brew it right there... and there is a plethora of options (Sumatra, Guatemalan, etc; light roast, medium roast, dark roast). Fresh fruit, a large deli supply (of pre-made salads and sandwiches which are fresh) are available along with convenient store staples. The staff is super friendly and the bathrooms smell good. My family was on a road trip and we stopped at this Pilot for gas, snacks, and a potty break. The store itself was clean and organized. When we stopped again my daughter realized she lost her Bahas (sound processors/hearing aids), which she wears on a headband. To put some perspective on how important these are, my daughter has a severe hearing loss and the Bahas cost $6000 each and she has 2. We looked through our vehicle several times with no luck. Since it was dark, we looked again the next morning when we could see better. Still no luck. I called the Pilot the next morning and asked if anything had been turned in. I described what the headband looked like and where we were in the store. Gloria actually went outside and checked the area where we we got gas and parked. Another employee, whose name I didn't get, checked the inside of the store. Even though they didn't find anything, we are very grateful for the time and effort they put in to check. Growing up we traveled from Texas to Cali often which meant truck stops were our main source of sustenance. Fast forward to nowadays & I'm finding myself traveling from Colorado to Texas! This Pilot was a pleasant surprise in Lamar. Nice, new, and very clean! The convenience store portion was ample and had just a enough to get you by. Plenty of health snacks which can be tough to find on road trips. The food court offered the usual greasy fast food fare. Just an observation but it definitely catered a little more to the car-centric traveler and maybe not as much to the road weary truckers. Great facilities and selection of road snacks!! Bathrooms are clean and nice. Definitely stop here over the other gas stations around!!

Nice and helpful staff. Hostess made a supreme pizza for me so I could get something besides cheese only. Also the shower was clean and ready, even had bottled water provided and a York peppermint patty in a little basket, nice touch..felt like I was at a hotel. Keep up the good work! read more
