Because SC's gas tax is quite a bit lower though it used to be better still. If you're going to need a fill up, get it here before you cross over into NC. It will save you. Easy enough to get in and get out, even with a Uhaul pulling a trailer. High cover at the pump area, the receipt printer worked and the squeegee worked too. Clean restrooms, lots of snacks and drinks. [Review 11167 overall, 941 of 2019.]

As I was riding around Cherokee County, S.C. trying to involve myself in some new Yelp adventures,…read moreI stumbled across this somewhat remotely located Circle K convenience store! It was my first trip there ever! I went inside and was very pleased to see such a well stocked business! The place had the appearance of having just been cleaned. I liked that! There is also a Krystal Burger attached to it! I've never had one before but have been told that they are delicious and comparable to a White Castle slider. OOPS! That means a guy with my appetite could devour an embarrassing number of them! Either fortunately or unfortunately for me they weren't open yet. I like this store but dinged them one star because of their high priced gas!

I ordered hot lemon pepper fish with baked beans and a side of fries. The fish was fresh out the fryer and served country style, which means on a piece of bread. The hot lemon pepper flavor could have been a little more spicier but the fish was still really good. The baked beans were also good. It tasted like chilli pepper was added to the beans. I couldn't really put my taste buds on it so I'm just going to say chili pepper. The french fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. They were not salty at all. There are other items I would like to try so I will definitely be making another stop at this food truck. Also, while you are at the superette, pick up the whole shabang and some boosie chips. #iykyk #foodtruck #gastoniaeats #clteats #friedfish #bakedbeans #blackowned #thewholeshabang #boosiechips #hotlemonpepper #supportlocal #micsminimarket #kenssuperette #localfinds #foodlover #gratuityadded #friedfood #goodeats #instafood #foodiesofinstagram #cltfoodie #foodtrucklife #yummy #foodgasm #foodtruckfriday #supportlocal #foodtrailer #freshtodeath #foodtruckfestival #madetoorder #foodiesofinstagram

They have a little convenience store side that has just about everything. And when I say everything, they even have an ice scraper. The food smells really good so I'm thinking it probably is pretty good. One day, I will go check it out.

While the store itself is rather clean, I think the problem lies with management and the lack of competency to hire people who know what they are doing and the lack of work ethic to show those people how to do the job and instead opting for sitting them down in front of a computer screen and having them watch "modules" that do a poor job at telling them how to do the job, (I know this because I used to work there for three months). I saw an employee try to show a customer who lacked the brain cells to pay for his stuff, how to work the card machine and the store manager Ben was yelling at her when she was just trying to do her job and it was holding up the line. Keep in mind the store manager didn't even take the time to help his people out even after passing by like four times while this is happening. I've also heard and experienced for myself that the management there doesn't care for people with mental disabilities who want to work there and even go as far as to try to set those mentally disabled people up to get fired by putting them in scenarios that trigger them. Sometimes they even straight up fire those disabled people for no reason and make up excuses so they don't have to give them special treatment, (I have autism and DID and they did this to me and even called me retarded straight to my face saying "We don't need retards causing trouble at our store." which I was extremely confused by and upset by at the same time). Don't shop here, the people here are either stuck up or lack the brain cells to help you or even a mixture of both. (When I say lack the brain cells I mean they are Neurotypical and stupid)
