It's a furniture/home décor department store. The biggest difference between Pilipp and others (like IKEA) is this store is multi-leveled (3?), and you can go to any departments you need to go and come back to the front cashier station to exit the store. So, you don't have to go thru the entire store from the beginning to the end like other furniture stores. That makes it more convenient for shopping IMHO. Displays are well-organized, store is well-lit, and it's very inviting. We went in for some Christmas decorations. Though we didn't find anything we needed or wanted this time, I'm sure we'll be back to check it out again sometime. This is basically an Ikea for grownups. They offer furniture, lighting, kids decor, kitchen supplies, anything for baby, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, etc. The furniture and home items are very high quality (and the price reflects that). But the selection is excellent and so is the friendly service you receive. There's even a restaurant on the premises. If you need anything at all for the home and you're looking for good quality items that will last a long time, try Pilipp first. Remember to bring cash because, oddly, they don't accept cards at this high-end furniture store. read more
