I have some rock climbing experience but with no harness, only bouldering (I was belay trained once…read moreupon a time). I wasn't sure what to expect at Boundless, but I think they really helped a lot with making sure we felt comfortable and safe! I recommend bringing your own protective gardening gloves. They rent gloves on site as well. There are porta pottys on site as well as gatorades and ice cream in a cooler, and a dirt lot to park your car in. There is a station where staff members harness you up and then you go through a safety training where you learn how to use your zip line truck and your clickits. You can practice a little bit and then you are ready to hit the courses! The ropes courses are color coded by difficulty. Yellow to green to blue to black. I found the various elements unpredictable and interesting! Courses can include climbing elements or ziplines, moving through tree tops and wooden platforms. It's a lot of fun! The staff will rescue you if you are stuck or fall off. I had a hand injury and wanted to exclusivly zipline but I realized that there are no standalone zip lines, you have to move through the courses in order to get to ziplines. I ended up finding a nice barrel/tunnel to hang out in on one of the greens. I rested there for 30 minutes and people watched, dozed slightly, etc. It was very calm and lovely! Def the highlight of my visit. I was also very pleasantly delighted by the wonderful help from staff members who were constantly wandering and monitoring people. I lost a croc charm and a staff member noticed and helped me look for it. I was reallly grateful for their proactiveness! If it's a hot day, don't forget to drink water between each course!

Fraudulent behavior - BEWARE - I called the Kenosha location at 3:43pm yesterday to confirm the…read moreKenosha location was open; I was told by the person who answered the phone that they were open. I then, at 3:46pm, purchased nearly $300 in tickets on Boundless's website (from my phone) for me and three kids. I then drove 1.5 hours to Kenosha from Chicago, only to find upon arrival that it was closed. I went back to see what the email said and saw that, somehow due to a glitch with Boundless's website (and despite being told by someone at Boundless's Kenosha number that they were open), the tickets were for their Purchase, NY location. I then immediately called the number for the Purchase NY location to resolve Boundless's error and found out it was closed as well (despite selling me a ticket for that same evening)! I then immediately emailed Boundless and requested a refund due to the glitch on Boundless's website and the false and misleading information provided by the Boundless employee when I called prior to purchasing the tickets, and was refused a refund by the company's owner, Lorrie Funtlyder (she insisted I take a credit for the nearly $300 for services not rendered by Boundless).

My husband's whole family went here and now they are bringing their kids here. While some lament that it is becoming too much of a "country club", I disagree. While they don't pee in a hole or have to live outside, I think they are "roughing it out" just enough. They have a wonderful pool, a pond to canoe on, archery, Armenian language classes, free time ... it not just looks like a lot of fun, it is (just ask my 11 year old who is enjoying it as I write this). The full time staff are amazing and the councilors are great (biased a little, my niece and nephews are there this year). There is also full time medical staff on site and that is a good thing! This camp is worth the two weeks no matter what your nationality is ... look into it!

If you call and ask for the director... she is always unavailable. So if your child has any social issues or needs a little more help and you as a parent need a good line of communication this is not the camp for you! And we return every year…read more There's so much for the kids to do at Nobles, the kids love all the choices, and they come home completely exhausted (which is a good thing). The staff is awesome, Nobles hires many teachers and professionals from local school systems. The camp offers swimming instruction, and free swimming every day and it's a very big camp. The counselors greet the campers every day with huge smiles.
