What a cool body building gym. Got to try out this place as I was competing in the area. Front desk…read morewas super welcoming and kind, gave me a quick tour of the place. No frills here. Machines are older, everyone that lifts here is yolked, and there's not a whole ton of space. I felt a bit awkward trying to work in with dumbells on the side. But, really cool gym!!

I get inspired by these sort of body building gyms, as they are such a nice break from the CorePowers and Equinoxes of the world that I normally frequent... I'm basic af, I know. All the plates are iron, industrial fans cooling the place, huge mirrors everywhere, it's open 24 hours, machines you won't see anywhere else, and patrons are about their business and just EATING weights. I was probably the smallest person in here by 80 lbs, but they couldn't have been more welcoming. I paid a $20 day pass twice, and what I loved was they didn't try to sell me on joining the gym. I'm so sick of being upsold in literally every other area of my life. Something about handing that crispy $20 bill, signing a waiver I didn't read, and being able to have free reign of the gym was so refreshing. You go to a 24 Hour Fitness and get a day pass, it will take you 20 minutes of small talk and having to fake like you're considering joining before you can get to working out. 3 days later, my quads are STILL sore from one of those gnarly machines that I have never seen before, and will likely never see again. Sore in a good way though... THANK YOU MUSCLE FACTORY I LOVE Y'ALL! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

4.75 stars. I wish I had got to train here for a longer period of time. Essentially, I got six…read moremonths and during that time period, Beejay Brooks (my trainer) got me into pretty decent shape from a guy who looks like he's written 1620 Yelp reviews. Give that man a hand! That was some hard ass work. Speaking of work, Beejay had an excellent eye for determining whether you were at peak levels or whether you needed a day with a bit less intensity. He definitely gave a lot of attention to your macros and diet (far more than anyone I've worked with in the past). He's very no nonsense and that's probably not for everyone. If you aren't going to put in the hard work to manage your diet, you will fail and he will let you know it. But if you put in the work, you'd be very hard pressed to find a better trainer in San Antonio (I did work with some of the other trainers at Hasfit and I got to say they were all stellar). Overall, you are going to have to spend some coin (I was at just under $500/month) but when you start seeing the results of that spent money, you aren't going to miss it. You're going to be thankful for the transformative experience as you become fitter and healthier.

I joined Hasfit during a work trip to San Antonio. I was in the area for 12-days and worked out…read morewith a trainer (Tyler) for eight of those days. Over the course of the trip, living and eating in a hotel, I gained about three pounds of muscle and lost about three percent body fat. As a result, I'm super happy with my experience at the gym and the progress I made in such a short period of time. I think this gym is great for anyone just beginning in the gym to more advanced athletes, as so long you are willing to put in the work. :)

During the sign up process, I noticed the gym was extremely hot, crowded, and smelled bad. I told them that I was not interested in a membership and they still enrolled me. Then, I asked for a refund and not only did they refuse, but they threatened to charge me $150 extra for a "cancellation fee." I had to change my account number, get a new debit card, AND dispute the transaction! They are fraudsters and engage in terrible business practices & treat potential clients horribly.

I've tried warehouse gyms, big box gyms, powerlifting gyms, bodybuilding gyms, you name it. This gym is great for a lot of reasons and could also be improved in a few ways. It's not my regular gym- I drop in a few times a year and pay for the week pass. I've never had an issue doing this or being charged extra from the week pass. Cons: locker rooms need better upkeep, STRONG turf smell, music too loud occasionally (like so loud I can't hear my own music in my earbuds), staff is hard to track down, some rude staff (literally just 1 girl but the rest of the staff has been nothing but super friendly and nice so I'm willing to write it off as a bad day for her). Pros: lighting is awesome, black walls and murals are awesome, they have posing rooms if you're into bodybuilding, TONS of free weights, powerlifting plates, cable towers, squat racks, benches, and varying machines. Extra equipment (like mats, med balls, kbs, etc.) are lacking, but they have enough to do what you need to do. Great gym if you're into powerlifting or bodybuilding especially. They have a supplement store and you can get snacks, shakes, drinks, etc. Prices are also really good; you could easily spend the same amount on a commercial gym that has 2 squat racks and 200 treadmills. The community there is SO nice as well. The biggest pro is that they're not insanely busy like most gyms I've gone to. I can always find a squat rack or cable tower and have never had to wait. In short, it's a gym worth trying. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but it's definitely one of the better gyms I've been to and I'll be coming back every year when I'm in town. P.S. For what it's worth, I've tried most of the gyms in SA and I prefer M.O. by a mile.

The layout is horrible. This place is always packed so be prepared to wait for everything. At least 6 machines are broken and they've had out of service signs on them for too long. Two cable machines and like 3-4 machines. It's wild. But if you know gym equipment you know why... they for whatever reason decided to be the only LA in town that uses the absolute worst cost cutting machines: Star Trac. If you want private restrooms guess what? Oh yeah the two in the back of the building are locked always with service signs on them as well. I can't make this up. The GMs days are definitely numbered because this type of unkept will lead to him getting let go. You hate to hear it but this is the honest truth. Don't bother with this location unless you don't want to workout or if you want to just ruin your mood for the day.
