I purchased a TV from Walmart. On Walmart website, there is an option to select…read moremounting/installation service for $79, which is paid at the time of purchase. So, I purchased the service and was sent confirmation that a Hello Tech would make contact with me to schedule the install. On September 24, 2024, I received the email requesting that I select the date and time to install. I selected the evening of September 24, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. Approximately two hours later the appointment was cancelled with no explanation. Because Walmart site indicates no refund on mounting services, I made contact with Hello Tech via phone. I was advised that my location was outside of their service area. They didn't even mention refunding my money. When I asked about the money I had already paid, I was advised that it would take 4 to 6 weeks before a check could be sent out to me, or 7 to 14 days by PayPal. I requested the PayPal method of reimbursement. As of date, I have not received my money. Why would you accept a job, take the money, then say you do not service the area. I ended up paying another company to mount my television, while I continue to wait on my refund. This service (or lack of service) is terrible; I would not recommend Hello Tech to anyone.

Call Center complaint…read more This company was hired for a home installation in Florida. It was very successful. However, they will not cancel my membership due to moving out of country. They never told me upfront that I would be debited every month for a year. Now that I must leave the country to a new home overseas, the online customer service representative states he is a booking agent only, and I must call during the week. I've been trying to cancel HelloTech since June 23. I am a senior citizen and asked for assistance, and he basically never apologized for the inconvenience. BEWARE, THEY AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR A ONE YEAR MEMBERSHIP! Not for me, I'll take my business elsewhere!
