stopped in hoping for a clean, professional cut before an important meeting and chose Pikasso Barber Shop based on the strong reviews and quick availability. The shop has a great vibe, and everyone was welcoming. The haircut itself just didn't land for me. The barber who helped me seemed a bit unsure with some fundamentals -- using clippers on the top where scissors would've been more precise, the overall length ending up uneven, and a straight razor used without any water or shaving cream, which made the process uncomfortable. My fade lines in the back also came out noticeably uneven, so I'll likely need to get them corrected elsewhere. That said, the massage gun at the end was a genuinely great touch -- honestly almost worth the $35 on its own -- and I can tell the shop cares about creating a good experience. I really hope this was just an off day, because the environment is solid. A little more consistency in technique would go a long way. read more

Been going to Pikasso for years and he's always solid. Consistent, clean cuts every time, and he actually pays attention to the details. I don't really have to say much anymore, he knows exactly what I like. Shop's got a good, chill vibe and you never feel rushed. If you want a barber you can trust and keep going back to, this is the spot. Definitely recommend Pikasso Barber Shop. read more

"DONT GET THE GIRL BARBER" I came here because of the great reviews and because it was recommended. The girl who works here is not only rude but lacks customer service skills. I could tell she was struggling to communicate in English so I spoke to her in Spanish to make her feel more comfortable. We started talking in Spanish and NOW SHE HAD A LOT TO SAY. Here's why I'm not coming back!!! -she was saying that I should come prepared and that because I'm 23 I shouldn't be clueless as to what I wanted. (I clearly told her I wanted a low skin fade and yes I asked for some recommendations and advice but that doesn't mean I'm CLUELESS) She said I was insecure about my hair. (She was literally insulting me). -she kept telling me to stop trying to look in the mirror; to stop moving and let her do her job. (I was literally just staring at the mirror in front of me and I don't remember moving that much). -I didn't like the hair cut (even tho I told her I did because I just wanted to get the hell out) and I paid without tipping her. As I was about to leave she said and I quote "Thanks for the tip" Sarcastically of course. (Keep in mind this was all exchanged in Spanish so her coworker next to us couldn't understand what was going on) During the hair cut she did try to sympathize and apologize because she recognized how RUDE she was but this was the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE HAIR CUT IVE RECEIVED. Sorry but I'm not coming back. read more

Jay has been my barber here since day one and is the best I've had. Always a very good cut time after time.

The service here was well below average. Many better options out there. Kind of a weird vibe too, barber gave off sketch vibes.

Made an appointment for 2pm. Walked out at 2:30 after no recognition and no cut. This place is a joke. I planned my day around this appointment that did nothing other than waste my time and lower your rating. Please remove your booking option if you're unable to appropriately manage bookings. Pikasso Barber Shop - Before I'm accused of being a fake client...here's my appointment. - Barbers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Hands down the best haircut I have ever gotten. I have tried a few places around the valley but you can't get much better service and precision. Shane did my hair today and he took extra time needed to make sure I was completely happy. I hadn't had a hair cut in almost 3 months which did not make his job easy by any means. His skills and customer service were on point. He even gave my son a fist bump and a Pokemon card! Def my new go to shop! Thank you again!!!! read more

Called in advance to see if they had any wait. Told no. Didn't mention any online check in option. I walked down there only to watch others come in after and go to the front of the line. I'm sure they had appointments - but you should have at least advised of that option when I called. read more

Had a confirmed appointment. Came 10 mins early but they took someone else instead at my time. No real point in appointment then?

Got one of the best cuts I've ever had by my man Jack in here, friendly and down to earth too. Will be coming back soon

Best old-school mens barbershop I've found. Every 3 months my wife likes to get her nails done and feel pampered. I go here for that experience. Warm shaving cream, straight razors, and a hot towel treatment. My haircut and beard always look great when I leave. And one of the best parts? They wont talk your ear off the whole time like some places. Don't get me wrong, they are very friendly and you can have a great conversation if you want. But if you just want peace and quiet and a great trim, this is the place to go. And the prices are VERY reasonable. read more

The hair cut took forever but I always overlook that when I see the final results. The gentleman who gave me the haircut did not deliver. I asked for a fade with a number on top, and this man ended giving me the same number all around. Save yourself the trouble and go else where this ain't the move g. Your best at cutting your own hair rather then going here. read more

I'm done with this place. I've had some good haircuts here in the past but I'm looking for a new barber shop after my last experience. I had an appointment set. I show up exactly on time, and the barber I reserved had just started cutting someone else's hair. When I walked in, I think he recognized me as his appointment since he's cut my hair 2-3 times before. He told me to sit down and wait and I said I'll go somewhere else. What's the point of an appointment if I'm waiting ? I went back the next day, and walk in and another barber asks if I have an appointment, and I said actually I came in yesterday with an appointment and all the chairs were full and there were 3-4 people waiting so I left. The new barber is like you should have waited, we all do cuts in between appointments. So I get in the chair and this guy speeds through my haircut. Start to finish was about 10 minutes. It looked okay, but after I got home I could tell it was a rush job. I touched up the top myself with scissors. Also he didn't use the hot towel or anything. I think he was hurrying because he had an appointment customer waiting or on the way. I'm always a good tipper, so I didn't appreciate getting a rushed, less than perfect haircut. They just go for high volume over quality. So I will go someplace else. read more

Best barber shop around! I usually see Jay but all the Barbers are great! Good price and fast service!

Not a fan - came here twice (because my regular shop was closed), a year apart, and the experience was identical both times. Won't make the mistake again The cut I got both times was the worst I've had in years and it took forever both times. They also don't pay much attention to detail... no razor even though it's a skin fade, the hot towel isn't very hot and the instructions get ignored (I asked for finger length on the top and my barber barely used the scissors and when he was all done it had already been long enough I didn't have time to sit longer). It's also not a super relaxing place to be - no music, nothing on the TVs. No conversations. Just dead silence and Clippers buzzing. There's trash on the floor, trash cans overflowing and a table with 50 magazines dumped on top. They also don't take cash or card (only cash app) which isn't a problem to me but it just adds to their overall lack of professional feel. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because there could be some great barbers here, I've just never met them. read more

At first they did an "ok" job. The owner, Shane, brought me back and fixed it. They take pride in their work and it shows!! I'll be going back. read more

Horrible haircut. No credit card acceptance you have to use venmo or cash app. The barber I had didn't even cut my hair correctly. I do not recommend this place don't waste your time. Go here only if you have a long long time to have your haircut. Nice folks, but they do not do speedy cuts. I ended up leaving early. Took too long. I'll have to have someone else clean up the unfinished cut. read more

Made an appointment with Shane and could take my Son myself. My Mother took my Son instead and because Shane had someone in his chair he pushed my Son off on Olga who did a terrible job! I asked for a skin fade and he still has hair patches on his head... she pushed his lineup back and I asked for a 2 on top and it doesn't look like she took anything off! Very dissatisfied and disappointed I didn't take my Son myself! Never going back there! Why the f**k do you have appointments?! read more

I have been coming here for a couple years now and will go nowhere else! It's in an easy to access shopping center but watch out for rush hour traffic on Camelback road. Parking can be tight during dinner rush due to the restaurants in the area, so I always try to hit them up during the day if possible. Their shop is always clean and well maintained with plenty of comfortable chairs to wait in if need be. I am sure all the barbers there are great because the owner (Shane) is pretty specific on quality, but the only person I book with is Shane himself. His attention to detail is very keen and I appreciate that very much. He uses a straight edge razor masterfully and between his talent and experience, my hair always looks fantastic! Going to a real barber is a whole different experience as compared to the regular places and I will never go back! read more

Pikasso Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Very disappointing. I frequent this shop many years ago when they first opened and had great experiences. I just stopped going to barbers for awhile but today I thought I'd go in for a shave. Carlos was my barber. And while he was very friendly, the execution for my service was less than desirable. I could still feel stubble on my face and little hairs on top of my head; I'd paid for a full razor shave on both my face and head. Honestly, it is smoother and with less residual hair left when I do it at home (without a hot towel or straight razor). Now, I take full responsibility that I should've done a touch test before leaving so that's on me. Still, buyer beware. read more

I bring my son here all the time. I've tried almost everyone and they all do an amazing Job.

Shane did a great job on my hair. I hadn't had my hair cut since March and it was a long hot mess. I had been going to the same stylist for 10 years and was holding out until they reopened due to COVID. Sadly they close but feel very fortunate and happy to find Pikasso's. Everyone was massed up, friendly and professional. Thanks Shane! I'll be back. read more

Love this barber shop, very nice looking and the barbers are nice, polite and good at what they do. Great price for what you get too.

Poor communication. I came in to get a haircut, I was greeted, but nothing further. I then sat there for over an hour without anybody saying a word to me, patiently waiting for it to be my turn. After the third or fourth person that came in after me was seen I asked what was up. They said these people had appointments, which is totally fine and understandable, but there was zero communication with me. Not a heads up that there are appointments ahead of me and the wait time is probably going to be two hours. Nothing. This used to be my go to barbershop, but I'm sorry to say they just lost a loyal customer. They're plenty of other barbershops around here, and they have customer service skills in addition to hair cutting skills. read more
