We're entering a new year and I want to update my review of BMS. In the toddler program we had…read moresome issues that I won't go into but we stuck it out because our daughter loved and thrived in BMS pre school level. Our son spent last year there and is returning soon. He's had a great time and genuinely feels loved. He talks about the teachers at home fondly and is quite happy to show up on a daily basis, minus the Monday after the amazing weekends that make kids want to stay and play with their parents all week. Thanks to Mrs. Swanson, Mr. Tsutsumi and Mr. David for giving our little guy so many good days.

We've had a wonderful experience at this school with our 2-year-old in the toddler program. The…read moreschool's dedication to the Montessori philosophy is evident in every aspect, allowing our child to develop independence, confidence, and a love for learning. The staff here is amazing! There's hardly any turnover, which provides a stable and consistent environment for the children. Plus, the abundance of supporting staff ensures that each child gets plenty of 1:1 attention. The program director is also fantastic--she's incredibly on top of things and always approachable for any questions or concerns. The classrooms are always kept clean, and it shows. Our child doesn't fall sick nearly as often compared to our friend's kids who go to other schools. This has been a huge relief. Communication at the school is excellent. We appreciate the verbal handoff we get during pickups, and the e-platform (Transparent Classroom) they use is a great tool for keeping us updated with hour-by-hour insights into our child's day. School premises feels very safe and secure by design. They have an always locked outer gate, and outsiders including parents have to be let in by the staff. Each classroom then has their own doors and separated from classrooms. The playground is also nicely secured by a strong fence. Lastly, we love the extra sessions they offer for parents. These are a great opportunity to meet other families and learn about important topics related to raising a child.

The teachers show no passions, no love, no empathy, no patients at all. The lead teacher left to do marketing only a few weeks after we joined. The principle of the school left only a few weeks after their grand opening. We withdrew from the school 2 weeks after joined but my kid only went to the school on and off for 4 days because of non stop crying. I saw that my kid held his lovey, crying and chasing the lead teacher around the classroom but the teacher wouldn't even take a look at him, my heart was broken at the time I saw it. One day I saw a little bruise around his arm pit that looks like nail poke. It might be an accident but it might be the teacher grabbed him very rude and her nail poked in. We requested to talk to the principle and the teacher and we were being told that the next week is grand opening, there were 200 colleges to join so they were gonna be busy. We had to schedule the appt next week. The lead teacher, I'm happy that she went to do marketing because she truly has no heart for childern. I would give 0 star if I can because this is truly not a place for babies.

We had some difficult family health scares that led to us being out of state on and off. Rather than making it a stressful and difficult situation, Rj and Shira were extremely supportive and offered to have us return when we came back to Seattle and were more settled. I look forward to my son returning in August! While I can't speak to other family experiences, I can say that our personal experience at Evergreen has been wonderful.

We could not be happier with the environment, atmosphere, fellow classmates/parents, and especially Ms. Merrill and the other teachers in our daughter's classroom. The encouragement for the kids to be independent, while also feeling fully supported, is very apparent. The works and activities are diverse and stimulating, and ultimately foster a love of learning. Our daughter talks so much about school, her classmates and teachers. She enjoys going, which as parents, we love. We truly feel that BMS, and in particular Ms. Merrill's classroom, are the right fit for our daughter as she continues her early education journey. We are incredibly pleased that our daughter will be able to have Ms. Merrill as her teacher for the next 3 years. We're excited to watch her continue to grow and develop as a young human...and BMS - Rossano Campus is such an integral part of that growth/development. Thank you BMS - we're very happy we found you!!

First of all, the list of items that parents are required to prepare is really quite long. I…read moreunderstand the intention -- things like emergency biscuits for earthquakes are for safety -- but honestly, if a real earthquake happens, shouldn't the school be able to provide such basic emergency supplies? This has created unnecessary stress and burden for parents. Second, I feel it's unreasonable to expect a two-year-old child to manage their own belongings, follow strict rules, and not be allowed to bring a favorite stuffed toy for comfort. My child has told us directly that they don't like this preschool. At this age, children should be playing and being cared for -- not subjected to discipline and education as if they were older. Lastly, I've noticed that the teachers seem to change very frequently. This gives me the impression that the school management might be unstable, which makes parents feel uneasy and less confident about the environment.

My child attended for four days, during which no specific curriculum was arranged. There were no summary reports, and no information on my child's afternoon activities was given. Basic care was also lacking:Diapers were changed only once a day, and this was done solely when my child had a bowel movement. The milk and water we sent remained untouched and were returned in the same condition. Teachers were preoccupied with a single girl and did not comfort other crying children, including my son who made three attempts to communicate his needs but was ignored. 3. Teachers are not Montessori-certified, a fact that was not disclosed to us. 4. There was one day when my child neither ate lunch nor the afternoon snack, returning home hungry. 5. Ultimately, due to inadequate care and attention, my child was diagnosed with severe anxiety by a medical professional. Despite attending for just four days, we're facing a $5,000 charge for two months of tuition. Please exercise caution; the school is very assertive and communication regarding any issues is difficult.

As a Montessori kid myself and a mom of five who've attended seven schools, I can say without…read morehesitation that Chestnut Montessori is the most impressive and genuinely exceptional school our family has experienced. The teachers are deeply skilled in true Montessori practice--they don't just borrow the "Montessori" label, but actually live out the philosophies and methods. Chestnut Montessori fully embraces and lives out Dr. Maria Montessori's vision and approach, and the impact of that on my boys has been extraordinary. In such a short time, I've seen tremendous growth in their self-confidence, abilities, social skills, and overall development. I was hesitant starting the boys in school at a young age, but Chestnut Montessori earned our family's trust in the first interaction at the tour (when we left the tour, before my husband could buckle his seat belt he looked at me and said, "this is it. Cancel all the other tours.") The teachers' expertise, loving care, and genuine investment in their students shine through every single day--from drop-off and pickup, to communication with the administration, to the photos shared throughout the day, and the thoughtful extra-curricular events. I'm beyond grateful for CMS and so thankful to have found a school that truly supports my children in becoming exactly who they're meant to be. We'll hope to be here for the long haul!

We had a very disappointing experience at Living Montessori and would not recommend this school to…read moreparents in the area. The school enforces a very strict 9:00 a.m. arrival policy--if you are even one minute late, your child is not allowed to enter. This policy was never clearly communicated during the tour, so parents should read the contract very carefully. Even for doctor's appointments, they expect everything to be completed before 9:30 a.m. and require advance notice. For children under four, who frequently get sick, this lack of flexibility is unreasonable and unrealistic. The extracurricular programs were also a waste of time and money. My son was enrolled in soccer classes (ages 8-10), and we never received any weekly updates, photos, or videos. Despite repeatedly asking for feedback, we were never informed about how our son was doing in these classes. The administration was another major issue. Our interactions with Aliya were extremely frustrating. The school is holding $3,600 of our money and refusing to either refund it or apply it toward our son's tuition. We had to delay our younger son's start date for personal reasons, and Aliya confirmed via email that the $3,600 could be used whenever our son started. They have since changed their stance and are now refusing to honor that agreement. Please be very cautious before committing to this school, as they seem to find every possible opportunity to keep parents' money. We moved our elder child out within a few months, and he is doing significantly better at a different Montessori school.

The original start date was set for the end of the year. When my plans changed, I contacted the center to request a revised start date. I was explicitly assured, both over email and verbally, that this would be accommodated and that the deposit would be carried over. The center has now reversed this position and is not honoring those commitments. They required us to repeat the tour, during which the staff member conducting it was dismissive and disrespectful. They are also requesting an additional assessment. When I asked whether the deposit would be refunded if the assessment was unsuccessful, they explicitly refused. Withholding such a significant amount of money under these circumstances is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about their business practices. This reflects poor ethics, lack of transparency, and unprofessional handling of families. Commitments made in writing and verbally were not upheld.

Since then, he's been at Primrose, now 7 months old, and he's been so happy and healthy. I can't begin to explain the night and day difference and our appreciation. Shout out to Ms. Light and Ms. Ghafari! During pick up, he always has so many things to babble, which is his sign of a good mood. In his past daycare, he would be returned to us with a puffy face, completely silent, and rashes all over his face. I think if you're looking for an infant care facility that goes above and beyond, actually understands infant development, and knows how to listen to baby's cues...this is definitely the place for your child's care. If you have the privilege to consider the tuition, which we found to be very fair, we highly recommend PSWB.
