It is a bit odd in that they offer a lot of tropical fruits and coconut-based ice cream; even if some of their stuff is grown locally I can't imagine there's a coconut farm in the mountains. Then again, the dairy-free crowd will be glad to know that there's vegan ice cream in the area. As far as food, their menu was only okay from a vegetarian perspective. The sweet crepe I did land on offered an abundance of peanut butter and Nutella that delivered on flavor, and the side salad I got was a decent size for the price and quite pleasant. There were a few chairs and a picnic table set up here, but it certainly doesn't offer the amenities of a full restaurant. Having said that, if you are specifically wanting something distinctive and local that's close to New River Gorge, this is one of your few options and does offer some good stuff.

We got a caramel frappe, which was actually delicious, but that's where it ended. The donuts were dense and hard and didn't seem fresh. We got a few different ones and we're really disappointed. It felt like we had essentially been handed a box of just the toppings. The glaze donut was gloopy with an unappealing texture (cold donut + cold glaze). The others were so loaded with toppings that they were messy to eat and overly sweet. I also ordered a decaf lavender and honey latte, and I couldn't even drink it. It was somehow both bitter and tasteless. I was wavering between a 2 or 3 star review, but went with 3 in the hopes that our experience was an anomaly, because it was a nice environment, and because the frappe was tasty.
