Despite other reviews I've found of this doctor online, and had him over 12 years ago when he was at another clinic and he left and then we moved too, and was too far for us after we had moved, we have found him to be the gold standard of which we have judged other doctors by, and so far, none of the others we have tried come even close. And am glad to be back at his office near Yonge and Davisville.
He seems to be the last of the doctors who relies on info in his head and puts it together, and only rarely making you do a fancy test, and while he does use a smartphone and computer like many doctors someone younger than him, he only uses it when necessary. Years ago he made a correct asthma diagnosis some years before my first asthma attack, and also diagnosed tendonitis in my left arm and shoulder without xrays and ultrasound tests just by feeling my arm. And was more than happy to get me back on my effective dose of two of my prescriptions, my asthma meds which I hadn't had for several months to a couple years given all the colds I've been having since the start of fall, and multiple bouts of bronchitis in fall-early spring for several years before his diagnosis then, and only sending me for a screening of my neck, back, and spine which may be why I was having the left shoulder problem even though the physiotherapy I was doing had helped quite significantly, but not totally.
Already have a friend that may need a new doctor and will definitely refer them to him!
The only thing he needs to improve or replace is the receptionist at his office, who tried to cancel our first appointment with him just because we were patients at another clinic he was working at years ago, but he left the clinic and then we moved and at that point his office location was too far when we initially moved, and we had been struggling to find a doctor because of the way our last one didn't take concerns seriously. She then booked another patient in the slot she had "cancelled", but as said before, we had no hard feelings, left on good terms, and judged other doctors by his standard of care. read more
