I have called Chris Bain several times asking for him to return my calls but to no avail. This has put me and my ex husband in a very precarious position since now that we are divorced neither of us can move on with our lives until this house is on the market and sold. If he would actually answer or return my calls I would be much more forgiving. but the last message I left yesterday was "Call me back or I'm going to Yelp with a bad review" Alas, still no call. I'm not sure how to get my money back or what to do!

Commingle monies between a customer's contract and your personal handymen ,BTW that exclusively work on your flip or rental houses makes it "too" convenient to hide monies ,creating a major conflict of interest. But their "higher ups" including Regional New England VP, Mark McCauley condone this activity by their employees by explaining away the "vague" term hold back, which they think is a license for these people to steal your money, good times and bad! When I asked their corporate offices for an internal audit on my refinancing contract, they sent me $300 check calling it a "draw" and didn't think there was an issue. When I pressed on, an Attorney from their California Offices sent me a threatening Cease and Desist Letter,to which I replied to STOP the Harassment, which it is considered in all legal circles. From day one, Clayton went above and beyond to make sure I fully understood every step of the mortgage process. Even when I encountered steps I wasn't as familiar with, he guided me through each one with confidence, clarity, and care. I truly felt in perfect hands the entire way -- and his reassurance was always matched with consistent follow-through and results. If I could, I'd vote Clayton as one of the best Mortgage Loan Officers in the entire state of Georgia! A huge shoutout also goes to Katie Gudz, who was a tremendous help throughout my process, and to Aimee Petersen, my amazing Loan Processor. From the moment Aimee joined the process, she was responsive, organized, and proactive, ensuring that everything moved smoothly through underwriting all the way to my clear to close. This team is absolutely phenomenal -- professional, personable, and truly committed to their clients' success. I highly recommend NorthStar Mortgage Advisors to anyone looking for a seamless, supportive, and stress-free mortgage experience!

When the…read moreappraisal was ordered, the appraiser completely missed the fact that the house had a basement - he clearly never went into it, which had a laundry room and 1/2 bath. This was obvious as some of the properties he used as comps did not even have foundations. He also used an under contract property as a comp, with no knowledge of the actual selling price. (This was confirmed by that property's realtor.) I addressed this with Northeast. I asked for another VALID appraisal. They refused, aside from Linda T. (who was amazing but on vacation) the customer service was terrible. They would not refund my money and made no attempts to provide a legitimate assessment. I switched banks, got a valid appraisal and bought the home. I will never work with Northeast Bank and recommend the same.

Chad and his underwriters got us to close on our house in under 3 weeks, when Quicken Loans had left us in a horrible place. We were three days away from closing when Quicken had decided they couldn't work with us. It was a horrible experience and very unprofessional on their part. Chad and his team were great, and did not treat us like we were just a number, like quicken had. If you are thinking of using quicken loans I would highly recommend you reconsider and talk to the people at RMS! They are terrific!
