I asked to speak with the director and she stated she only knows what's happening based upon reports. (She never views the classes). I asked to visit the class to see his behavior. She stated she would have to ask the owner. I asked for at least a weekly written report so that I can have documentation. She stated she doesn't know if she can get the teacher to do that. This place has no cameras and I cannot come in to view my child. I confronted them about my request only to have the asst director yell at me and terminate my child. New management and training is needed ASAP.

The teacher for the 2 year old class, Mrs. Pat, basically did this for me! My son can sing his ABCs, knows his shapes, knows his colors, can count to 12, has learned how to share and so much more! He didn't know any of this when he started. The facility is clean and they decorate for the holidays. The meals are included with the price, home-cooked and MORE than enough. The kids are good kids. You don't walk in to bad words, fighting or any of that. They all give my son a hug everyday when he leaves, and even the big kids are patient and friendly with him too. The school is equally diverse, which I love, so my son has learned to be friends with every kind of person! They have people come and take pictures that you can purchase with professional backgrounds, they have holiday parties and do really cool arts and crafts projects. The 3 and 4 year old kids are together, so my son is already literally learning everything from the VPK courses. Right now, he is learning to write letters! It's like getting two years of preparation before kindergarten instead of just one. When my son "officially" starts VPK next year, he will definitely be way ahead of the game. They have a big, fenced in play yard where my son loves to roam. They are so affordable that I almost didn't use them. I didn't trust the price. But they are truly exceptional and I am grateful I went with my gut. I am very protective of my little boy and went to several different daycares before I found this one. Thank goodness I did. For…read moreseveral years the people in our community have complained to school officials about students leaving school at odd hours and hanging out on private property in and around the Condos. The school said the resource officer cannot leave premises. The local Police when they do arrive kids scatter then return. Police are not effective in patrolling the school at all. Gates of school are open and kids come and go. School gets low grade as it is definitely not in control of the students and therefore not a safe environment in my opinion.

Any problems, which happen very rarely, are solved as calm and as quickly as possible. Unlike other schools MMS reaches out to students that have problems with each other. Any repairs that need to be made throughout the school are also quickly fixed as soon as there notified.

School is an IB choice program school. Despite being historically old, this school is beautiful! The staff has always been friendly and in visiting for the IB overview a few weeks ago, teachers seem supportive. In my calls to the school recently pertaining to the program, staff has always been available or if I left a message I received a call back very promptly. My daughter applied for the IB program and got in for this school year which continues our family history of attending HHS. Drop off and pickup convenient off of Central Ave. Despite the school having a high attendance, traffic flows quite smoothly.

In conjunction with standard programs, Hillsborough has offered the International Baccalaureate program since 1994. If you graduate from this program, you receive some nice benefits (i.e. AP credits, Bright Future scholarship). Even if you attend standard classes, you'll still get a quality education. Positives: The teachers are pretty responsive and generally keep parents updated on progress. Drop off in front of the school is relatively easy, even with the crowded parkjng situation. Some drawbacks: AC units aren't always in the best shape (inconsistent heat, AC, and humidity through the building). The bathrooms aren't the best (missing doors, no TP). I'm not sure these are just issues at this school, could be a countywide issue. Overall, experiences here have been positive and I can strongly recommend the IB program. Go Big Red!
