I'm becoming quite the connoisseur of acting schools in Atlanta. Not really...but we have tried…read moremore than a few since my daughter began acting several years ago. It's kind of hard to measure the efficacy of a program and as long as my daughter was having fun, I didn't feel like it mattered all that much. I try to look at acting classes as both a social activity as well as professional development endeavor. She's enjoyed the classes she's taken but if she missed one, she didn't mind. That all changed when she began Film Academy with Ken Feinberg at Creative Studios. First off, she LOVES it. She looks forward to it every week and refuses to ever miss class. Not only is it fun but Ken has been able to challenge her and in a very short time, her acting skills have improved dramatically. She's had an agent since she was 6 years old and has booked a few things here and there. However, in the 5 weeks she's been at CSA, she has booked four big projects!! It's not coincidental because she has used several techniques Ken taught her in class. Recently, a casting director wanted to know where she trains because she was so impressed with her acting skills. From what I can tell, Ken's approach focuses on the practical side of the acting business--especially for kids. At her age, she doesn't need to be studying acting theory. Nothing wrong with learning it later on, but for now, he has stressed that she needs to take it seriously (this is a business, after all) AND have fun. And, if she can't do both, then this activity may not be for her. Additionally, he has taught her some really useful techniques she can use in auditions. On two auditions, this specific technique has helped her book the job. If your child is serious about getting into the entertainment business, I highly recommend CSA.

Could not be more pleased with the instruction my boys received from Ken Feinberg. He is amazing as…read morean acting coach but his help did not stop there. He helped us navigate the tv/film industry itself. It is not enough to simply have great acting skills. You have to know the snares and pitfalls of the industry when you set out to put those skills to use. Ken was invaluable in helping us learn the ropes. He continued to be a help and encouragement long after they had completed their training. They are well on their way and owe many thanks to Ken and CSA!!!

Mike is awesome! His enthusiasm for teaching shows. He is a great photographer and mentor. I…read moreconsider him one of the best of the best. He's very patient and doesn't have any issues with explaining something over and over. That is for knuckle heads like me. I consider myself an intermediate creative, but there is always something to learn. I don't think I'll ever finish learning about photography . Mike will open your eyes to some of the techniques that are deemed difficult. He teaches how to use gels, integrate lighting into the image, how to set your camera and why. He has over 30 years in the business. He has the beautiful albums and websites to prove it. If you are serious about getting into the business of wedding photography . Mike is your man. If you are a bride looking for one of the best. Give Mike a call.

After getting a new camera for the holidays and not having any idea of what I was doing, I decided…read moreto take an 'Intro to Photography' Workshop from Mike. The experience was exceptionally educational. We spent three hours at Barrington Hall in Roswell. The first hour was a powerpoint preso explaining various camera settings all about getting the right light and metering the a shot. The next two hours were spent with models in various poses in settings on property. With explanation and hands on assistance throughout the shoot. I have to experiment with the my take-aways from this workshop before I sign up for the next one, but feel confident that I would want to work with Mike and his team again.
