Over the years I have sent pieces to them when I lived in Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia and Ohio. Their work is meticulous. This year I got a piece of memorabilia from my college - a retired mailbox door. I wanted it framed in such a way that I could use the combination to open the door of the mailbox. They put it in a shadowbox and created a small space behind the mailbox door so I could put something in the mailbox. It is the most unique piece I have hanging in my home here in Jacksonville. So, to try it out, I took a small souvenir acrylic painting into Art & Framing on the Park. I had been protecting the little painting from damage for years, intending to frame it myself, but I really wanted to highlight it in my house as it had great travel memories tied to it. Sean was fantastic. I don't know why I waited so long to get something professionally framed but it is so worth it. I'm creating a list of things to get framed now; travel memories, degrees, family photos. My little painting looks like it was made for its small gold frame, it's beautiful. I'll be back to Art & Framing for all my framing needs! So great to have such a high quality local business.

The clean, open design creates a really effective exhibit space but also allows for a flow for the crowds that gather for special events held here. Neatly tucked away from busy Florida Avenue, the building can be easily missed but just look for the steady stream of people who show up for whatever may be happening within its walls. A recent display of Theo Wujcik's work (he is a master painter and printer who calls Tampa home) placed large scale paintings on two walls and small, delicate drawings opposite the big colorful canvases. An artist friend who accompanied me to the opening night of Wujik's exhibition seemed as enchanted with the space as she was with the work displayed which tells me art is definitely at home here.
