Professionally, Desiree kept in close contact with us and answered any questions we had prior to the shoot, and was really flexible and open to any suggestions we had. She was very pleasant to work with, very friendly and sweet with our baby, as well as very patient! The shoot was about 45 minutes, which was expected. The waiting area of her studio is very inviting! She has coffee, snacks, books and toys for kids, comfortable couches to sit on - her bathroom even had makeup and hair products for touch ups if needed!! (she also does maternity photos I understand). She had a very fast turn around to get the photos to us for viewing (next day!), and the photos were so beautiful! I had a hard time narrowing down the ones I wanted to be retouched! Pricing is also very reasonable. I will definitely work with her again in the future for other photos sessions and would recommend her to any friend looking for similar services and quality.

TLDR: Photographer no-showed on our Christmas card shoot. I tried to reschedule as a newborn shoot…read moresince it was too late for card photos. While we were trying to schedule, she said a newborn shoot would be extra. I requested a refund and she refused. Update: Talula's response misrepresents a lot of important information. We never actually rescheduled the Christmas card session, we only discussed my willingness to. She proposed a date but I declined because I had a family emergency and had to leave town. Therefore, it is inaccurate to say that I "rescheduled and then cancelled". Instead, I asked to pivot to a mini newborn-style shoot since we no longer had a need for Christmas card photos, and she agreed with no mention of added cost or clarification of what that meant. Later on she proposed a possible date, I told her it worked for me and asked how to prepare. The following day she said she thought we were doing a family shoot and mentioned it would be an upcharge for a newborn shoot. That should have been disclosed earlier. After she no-showed the original shoot and failed to clearly communicate the terms of a replacement session, a refund would have been the legally appropriate and professional response according to the contract. Instead, she's continued to shift the narrative to excuse poor handling of the situation.

You should be aware that the owner (Mary) is not the photographer. She has no knowledge of, or…read morecontrol over, the photographer's work. I cannot recommend this photographer. I paid $450 for professional photography for my daughter's first birthday, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that cost over $7,000. I trusted this photographer to capture such a special occasion, but the final gallery was extremely disappointing. Many of the photos were taken from low, unflattering angles, had poor composition, or were unnecessarily repetitive. Several important moments were either missed or not captured well. What was even more disappointing was the response afterward. When I raised my concerns, the photographer claimed that the angles had been "edited to eye level." That explanation made little sense. While editing can adjust exposure, color, and cropping, it generally cannot change the original camera angle or perspective. A photo taken from a low angle cannot realistically be transformed into an eye-level shot through editing alone. The photographer also failed to avoid obvious reflections in people's eyeglasses. Can you imagine paying $450 for professional photos, only to receive images in which bright white glare obscures people's eyes and faces? Instead of acknowledging the problems or offering a reasonable solution, Mary, the owner, refused to take responsibility or provide a refund. This was my daughter's once-in-a-lifetime first birthday, and after spending over $7,000 on the celebration, I expected professional-quality photographs that would preserve those memories. Unfortunately, both the quality of the photographs and the customer service fell far below my expectations.

I opted to go with ambitious briea for my maternity shoot as my first choice photographer was…read morebooked. Her Instagram photos were cute and her website were professional. I don't want to bash this photographer but the service could've been a lot better. My issue with this photographer is that she does not adhere to her own policy as per her webpage. Her webpage is not " fool proof" meaning all the need to know details can't be found on the website and the photographer is not assessable by phone and does not respond to emails within her provided 24hr time in my situation there were occasions when she didn't respond at all. She does not do any type of consultation prior to your shoot which takes a way from your shoot time on the day of. My shoot was on May 16th I paid the remaining balance selected my photos on May 18th. I should've gotten my 4 edited pictures back on June 6th. Today June 16th still nothing. Prior to my shoot I sent two emails asking about what to expect on the day of my shoot and a consultation; Without response. Resulting in time being taken out of my 1hr shoot for bathroom break, consultation, and changing. One of my outfits could've been worn to the shoot. On the day of my shoot I arrived timely with a support person and in my opinion the photographer came off as nice nasty at this point she had half the money for my shoot so I didn't acknowledge it. She asked me several questions that would've been addressed if she had responded to my email when I brought that to her attention she told me " I was busy" like I am not a paying customer who also work and is busy. My photos are very plain compared to others who brought the same package on her page. When I brought this to her attention my only option was to pay an additional fee for the edits I wanted which if she had addressed my emails prior to the shoot we would not have had an issue and I could've paid for exactly what I wanted up front. She did provide the raw photos which I was able to edit on my own to my liking. Based on that I would never go with this photographer again nor recommend her to anyone. The brown background photos are supposed to be "customized to bring my vision to life" ...it's nothing special about it. She charges you to use props and consider that as customized. We spent a significant amount of time on what outfit to choose first and ultimately we went with the brown look which had bronzer then the white outfit. Bronzer got on the white outfit and she ask on her site not to wear stained clothes. Why as professional you have me put on bronzer prior to wearing white? This was my first shoot how was I supposed to know not to do that? The blue background is just blue all the props I brought myself. I will provide screen shots of email conversation and photos. I hope this helps someone but book at your own risk. My photos were not bad, the studio is professional the service and communication needs a lot of work. As a paying customer I am unsatisfied.

I later booked despite not hearing from her because I saw the open time slots disappearing. After booking still no response besides the automatic appointment confirmation via the site. I then called her and left a voicemail, still no response. I had to message her on instagram explaining I booked but would like to go over the details. There was no apology for her lack of communication, no enthusiasm to go over the details. She just said i should have put what I wanted when I booked. I asked what the setup would be and what to bring/expect but she didn't answer my questions. When it got closer to the appointment she still hadn't gone over anything just said she could do my color scheme and had two walls for the family shoot. Going by the pictures on her website I was expecting a fun person with great ideas to make my daughter's 1 year old photoshoot to life. Instead it sounded like she didn't even care so I canceled the photoshoot via the website, losing the deposit. She never even contacted me to find out why.
