A little raspados place in Avondale checks the boxes for Mexican treats. Nothing fancy but you can eat indoors or outside! We ate outside and enjoyed the weather. The only thing I didn't care for was the elotes in a cup. It was like the corn wasn't cooked all the way and soupy. No bueno! We ordered a watermelon agua Fresca, two Sonoran hotdogs, elotes, and two horchatas. Everything was delicious except the elotes. The horchata wasn't powdery either. Had a great time here with my family. We had ceviche as well as a raspadonieve , and a corn cup. The food was delicious and the raspadonieve was the perfect amount of sweet. The staff is friendly and helpful to what you need and the location is very quaint with decent seating to either eat or wait for food to go. Stopped in here for a quick bite while in the area. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly cashier who took my order and made me feel at home with some small chit chat. The food was delicious, I had the ham sandwich; this masterpiece came loaded with many of my favorite ingredients: ham, cheddar, american, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and just the right amount of pickled jalapeños. On the side I was served a ketchup bottle filled with a house chipotle dressing which took each bite to another level. My melon agua fresca was made to order and was not loaded with sugar like others i've had. Food was great and their friendliness was just an added bonus! In Arizona for travel. We came around 7pm, parking was easy. Pretty busy on a Thursday night for a dessert shop - constant customers going in and out. The mango shaved ice was more crushed ice than shaved ice but the flavor was really good! The chicken torta was freshly made but I've had better tortas in Texas. The nachos were pretty standard, lots of nacho cheese and pork though! The pork and chicken honestly tasted the same - can't tell. The ladies behind the counter were all extremely friendly. Been going to this spot for about two years and it's still delicious.. the service is fast and excellent from all of them. Even with COVID they seem to be on it while working with the changes. A bit pricy but for once a month not bad at all. The food/snacks are definitely tasty, my favorite is the raspa nieve with pecan ice cream and lechera. Try it! I came in two days in a row. The first to try a tamarindo raspado. It was so yummy and full of real tamarindo. Came in a day later to try the hot dogs and I'm happy to report that the hot dogs were amazing.
