Just beyond everything you could imagine. Everyday they explore, play, discover, laugh and learn more than ever. The kids are going to school with a smile and coming home even happier. At little Stars, they have beautiful spaces (a community garden where they grow veggies, a beach playground, so many ateliers) and loving teachers. Unfortunately the school had to close for a few weeks because of COVID. They reopened 19 weeks ago, with new safety mesures and since then no one has been sick. Kids even don't realize there is a new protocol. So Mrs Darlene, Mr Louie, the teachers, thank you so much for making the school like normal, with running, hugging, laughing, learning children. We will always be thankful!

We looked at a few options for preschools and after touring the school and meeting the directors we decided to go with Little Stars. I wanted to wait until the end of our time at LSP to write a review of the school and I couldn't be happier to say that this school was such a perfect choice for my son. We love Little Stars Preschool and highly recommend to everyone we know. The directors as well as all the teachers are excellent. It's a wonderfully diverse community, supportive and safe. Thank you Little Stars!!

From the very beginning, we were drawn to their individualized academic approach, which truly allows each child to grow at their own pace while building confidence and a genuine love of learning. It has been incredible to watch our daughter thrive in an environment that recognizes her unique strengths and encourages her curiosity every single day. The teachers are absolutely amazing--warm, attentive, and deeply committed to making every child feel supported and valued. We especially appreciate all the extra thought and creativity that goes into making her early school years so memorable, from engaging activities to special events that bring so much joy to my daughter. Thanks to this wonderful community, our daughter's first experiences with school has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are so grateful to be part of it.

The directors, administrative team, and teachers are truly exceptional. They bring so much intention, warmth, and care to everything they do. It is clear that they see and value each child as an individual, and they create an environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to explore the world around them. Our daughter has grown into such a thoughtful, curious, creative, and kind little person, and MAWA played an enormous role in that. She learned not just academic fundamentals, but how to be a good friend, how to express herself, how to ask questions, and how to move through the world with confidence and empathy. There is something truly magical about this school. It is a community in the fullest sense of the word, and the impact extends far beyond the classroom. We will always be grateful to MAWA for helping shape who our daughter is becoming. It is an extraordinary place, and any family would be lucky to be part of it.

It's a warm, home-based environment where children are truly allowed to be children. The teachers take the time to really get to know each child, treat them as unique individuals, and nurture their curiosity. I never once worried while they were there because I knew they were cared for, safe, and surrounded by love. My boys had the freedom to explore, create, and grow through art, play, hands-on learning, and the amazing yard where they could discover and enjoy nature. Every day felt special--full of creativity, laughter, and genuine care. They had such an interesting, rich preschool life that I will always treasure. KuiHwa, the preschool director, is a one-of-a-kind teacher whose warmth, wisdom, and dedication shine through in everything she does. She made such a difference in my children's early years and gave them the most beautiful start to their educational journey. Leaving was bittersweet, because we were so sad to say goodbye to such a special place. Seedlings Great and Small gave my children not just a foundation for school, but also a love of learning and a true sense of belonging. We will always be grateful for the incredible gift this preschool has been to our family.

We had been looking for a part time preschool (also has full time) that was still reasonably priced and flexible with their hours as my daughter became more accustomed to time away from home/me. I worked from home taking care of her full time so was only looking for a preschool that helped expose her to a routine and new friends. Seedlings checked all the boxes! Also LOVE that their program is year round - only breaks for a couple of weeks in summer/winter! Kuihwa and her staff feel like family. They supported my daughter in every way possible - encouraging her creativity, play, point of view and voice. Each day was like playing in a magical fairy garden and not one moment was cookie cutter or standard. We've made lifelong friends from this school and will always sing its praises! If you're looking for a less traditional, play based program where you child gets to be outside and express themselves through creativity and play, Seedlings is it!

The kids have days filled with creative and exciting activities without any screen time (I've seen other preschools and daycare's with TVs in the classroom:( ). They also do much more thoughtful activities than just coloring and painting which I experienced at previous schools. I'm very appreciative of the diversity in the school. I toured many different schools throughout my son's time in preschool and this has been one of the most diverse that I've seen. My son's teacher is Ms Ingrid and she is very kind and thoughtful. It's been really sweet watching my son learning and taking interest in Spanish even though we do not speak Spanish at home. Also the owner, Ms Brittie is very involved and very quick to respond to parents. Overall, I feel that there is a lot of thought and intentionality put into the way that the school was designed and runs. research based and geared towards celebrating each child's individuality while still helping them develop, socially and academically. :)

The Staff Ms. Monica and Ms. Nancy have both been teaching at Yachay for over 8 years. That kind of consistency speaks volumes about the school's supportive environment, low turnover, and commitment to quality care and education. 2. Curriculum and SEL The school follows a clear scope and sequence for the year and thoughtfully integrates social-emotional learning into daily routines. For example, my son received a laminated "feelings chart" connected to read-alouds during circle time. He also practices mindfulness and breathing through yoga. On top of that, they offer affordable extracurriculars such as gym and music. 3. Food My son genuinely enjoys the meals and snacks, which is a huge plus. 4. Family Events Families are invited to celebrate birthdays and attend special events like dance performances, which creates a strong sense of community. 5. A place that follows cutting edge research and embraces a joyful and loving atmosphere and works to free kids from the drudgery most schools unthinkingly and ill advisedly embrace. Argo Navis always has its heart in the right place and does what's best for kids----even when it hurts their bottom line. They are concerned with education not schooling. Wow! As an educator for over 30 years, I can't imagine a better school for my child; simply put: she is thriving there! The small class sizes and personalized teacher attention make the school unparalleled. They know her and work to help her find her passion. My kid has always loved making little newspapers. Guess what Argo did? They helped and supported her dream and published a school newspaper that she spearheaded---all in breath-taking speed, held up only by her. LOL. I have been involved with every type of school there is and believe me, something like this would never have happened in them or if it did, it would have taken so long and by the time the slow wheels of bureaucracy got it done, the passion and interest would have long dissipated. Argo's travel and real world experiences are the icing upon the cake. Scuba diving, babysitting class, sailing, aerial, hip hop dancing, World Peace camp. YOWZA! Every day, my child is happy and excited to get to school and I am thrilled to get here there. It is priceless. Yay Argo!
