I prefer to donate…read moredirectly to the community through local facebook groups, but when time is of the essence or there's a lot of things, I know Goodwill is the place. This past Saturday, my fiancé and I loaded up my minivan with tons of donations and drove in. The employees are always helpful! They'll help you unload and offer a receipt for tax purposes. There's even a QR code for online receipts if you want that. I'm old school though- I want a paper receipt. Few things to note: 1. While the line in the drive-thru moves fairly quickly, expect to wait a bit as the year comes to a close. Everyone wants to get their tax write off before December 31. 2. Any donations after 6pm are accepted at the front entrance. Solid 4 stars.

He rudely says "what??" I repeat it. He proceeds to tear open the trash bag to inspect the items. All of this while he smokes a cigarette blowing smoke in my direction. Opens the box that had a clock in it. Very rudely. And of course he did his routine walk off when he sees you pulling up. Salvation Army, do better. It is reprehensible to have an employee of yours treat people who are tying to do good be treated this way!

Went back into trailer saying nothing. I was about to leave and he came out and handed me a blank receipt and walked away. My guess is my 8 bags of nicely folded clothes, shoes, housewares will end up in some garbage dumpster rather in the hands of people who could use some support. Absolutely disgusting. Don't bother. Either find another place (Goodwill has been great and I regret not going back there) or toss your beautiful things in the trash.

You'll find a tiny notebook with half the pages smeared in lipstick marked at 3.99. I don't know what their business model is but it sure isn't moving product. I pulled up to the marked donation drop-off door but was told I could not park there and needed to move across the lot, get a cart, and bring everything in myself. I explained that i was not parking, I am handicapped and offloading since it was pouring rain, but was still told no. I ended up leaving without donating or shopping. As a loyal supporter of FJV, I was very disappointed by the lack of understanding and outright rudness.

Donated clothing is collected, sorted, washed and inspected to look as new as possible. Bags are packed with a year's worth of clothing newborn to 12 months along with beautiful handmade items like blankets, bibs, hats and booties.
