I found the WIFI connection though complimentary is one of the most problematic ones I encountered compared to other libraries.. I have problem access to the Yelp Log in!! That is a NO NO! :P Make sure you allow pop ups for the main log in web page, if not you will have to log in every 450 sec... if you have allow the pop up, then the browser would have refresh itself automatically. I have to comment on the Magazine collections here.. The latest issues are all available for your reading pleasure (over 50 varieties). One of the best I encountered in all the libraries I been to. There are no dedicate seatings for laptop users but there are 3 round tables at the back of the library that has tons of outlets and overlooking the parking lot.

Great neighbourhood library as you can access all these city services in one stop! Interior is spacious with high ceiling.. great cottage theme with neutral brown and pine tone... Book collections are small.. but sometimes is good that you can always find the more current reading materials. Quite a few computer terminals that has full access... not too busy in the middle of the afternoon. Separate room for kids or other toddler programs.... you can see them having fun but you cannot hear them scream. Just perfect!

There are countless computer terminals for access to the Internet, both at the upper and main level of the library. In order to access the terminal, you do need a valid Ajax Library card. If you are out of towner like me, then bringing your laptop is essential for Wifi connection. The connection here is free and quick, compare to Pickering Main Branch library I been to. The 2nd level of the library has a special study area at the back has big floor to ceiling windows overlooking an open space. There are a few armchairs if you just want to laid around and take it easy. The atmosphere here is more formal. Quiet and you expect to be whispering to each other... shhh..... time for me to take a nap in one of the armchairs!

Port Union Library is located inside the Community Centre…read more.. One of the smaller libraries I been to in Scarborough area.. The interior though has this cheerful orange theme. Have only 2 computers that has Full Access.. you might be disappointed if you want to chill and use the computer. The book collections is small but recent... Great place to just bring your laptop and do some work or just read some magazines!

Located close to the corned of Lawrence East and Port Union the library offers a sanctuary from the endless suburban sprawl of East Scarborough. The well stocked book shelves team with everything from dvds to non-fiction books about coffee harvests. The librarians are often friendly and approachable, willing to help with whatever your latest query is. The Port union library really is the heart of this community, an oasis of calm in all that surrounds, and I have been going here whenever possible since I was very young.

The library though is a little small... but the indoor pool area is great with Leisure style 25 metre pool, 70' water slide, tot pool, on-deck sauna and whirlpool. One curious thing is this places have signs everywhere.... from the parking lot outside about "Zero Idle Zone", No Kids allow to run around, Taps water are precious... I just feel overwhelmed!

I have taken classes on both campuses, and while St. George is a gathering for prepsters and nerds, Scarborough is home to tiny Asian hall dancers and the young. I mean really young. I'm certain I am pretty much a dinosaur in comparison to these kids. I say kids because they are so loud, and dressed in something I'm sure could be found on the closet floor of my 16 year old mother. I've realized two things about attending university at this campus in this city. One I highly enjoy the anonymity of the large on line classroom. Scarborough offers several of their highest grossing classes as on line available. Meaning that one can watch the lectures anytime, and that you need not be subjected to the aforementioned youth and all the irritants that surround them. It also means that the procrastinator inside can be fulfilled and I can still ace all my courses. Number two, I can try to fit in here, but I'm white, and old comparatively speaking. So I'm fashionable as an almost cougar and someone you think you can ask directions from. In fact I'm certain my prof yesterday was markedly younger than me. Oh well, thank goodness I'm mostly over trying to be cool:). As far as amenities go, the gym facilities are pretty shoddy though they will be redoing them shortly. Food options are few and have pretty poor hours, but there are two Timmy's, one open late. Highlight of my most recent trip to Scarberia, the ghetto Asian dance troupe practise taking place in the hallway near floor length windows. I say ghetto, because that is what they call themselves, because in all honesty they are sporting more brand names than a Macy's superstore. Bottom line...don't transfer here, this is a full fledged business and they deny deny deny all the credits they can. As business and psychology faculties go though they are top rated.

They packed a lot into a small store. The front wall had the new hits and bestsellers. Located nearby was a table with marked down items that had further 50% reductions.There were little things from Kikkerland and other cutesy items that would make great gifts. Another noteworthy section was a table with books recommended by influencers from TikTok and other social media platforms. There was also an entire aisle of manga and graphic novels which was really cool. We picked up a few things like a journal and a book of Sudoku puzzles which was located by their wall of magazines. They take Plum rewards here and have gift cards for purchase that you can use at both Coles and Indigo.
