Pick N Pull So. Salt Lake really sucks ass! Went there today, found an old Whelen Head Light Flasher that was on a older ambulance. They wanted $27 plus a $5 core can find the exact same flasher on ebay for $30 Here is the F***ed up part. It will be tossed in there dumpster bin, They are unwilling to accept any type of reasonable offer, when they are just gonna throw it away now. Seems to me if a business wanted to have returning customers, they would be a little more reasonable. So I give them two thumbs down and a fart!! read more

Tips: Bring water. Wear good boots or shoes. Carry only the tools you need. Use the restroom before you go. Wear a hat for the sun in the summer. Dress for cold in the winter. Always wear gloves. Take breaks. Plan longer than you need. You know what this place is. Head down, power through the check-in, and get to pickin. Don't expect anything, and you won't be disappointed. There are a few of these types of businesses around but this location is home. I've been able to get some great parts here over the years. Use the Row52 app/site to find cars. Set up alerts so you can get those tough to find trim pieces first. I like I buy an emblem or two each time I go and decorate my workbench. read more

This place is ridiculous. I pulled some hood vents off a car and wanted to see if they'd fit on my early Bronco. It was part about 20 feet from the checkout spot. I asked if I left my tools and license could I just walk over and see if the dimensions were acceptable. No matter what I offered to leave they wouldn't let me. I just put the vents down and left. The two hispanic guys working there hardly spoke any English and I expect were illegal aliens. Avoid this place unless you're ICE. read more

Everyone thought I quit because of working outside in the winter. That's not it. I take cold showers. I quit because no room for growth and it's truly a dead end job with a hostile work environment. These people are mask nazis.. The state wide mask mandate have been over for quite some time. I have been going there ever since it changed from western auto wrecking to now pick and pull. I have to say ever since pick and pull took over every time i go there the employee's are different everytime. And more rude and just unpleasant to have to deal with than the last ones were. I grew up in junkyards my grandpa owned one. so don't think I don't know what a pick n pull is supposed to look and operate like the worst location and horrible customer service. I'd never been to a junk yard before, so when my son suggested we visit Pick-n-Pull to look for a part for his truck I was excited to oblige. When you pull, in it's exactly what you would expect a junk yard to be: dirty, smells like old oil and generally disorganized. We entered, paid the $1 fee (per person) and embarked on our junkyard adventure. Did you know they actually have ALL the vehicles catalogued in a computer? I didn't. Although it didn't help us find the part we were looking for (it wasn't there), it did give us a direction in which to look. This IS NOT a place for kids, slippers (I'm from Hawaii) or bare feet. I would be interested to know some of the stories behind these vehicles. Hell, some of them look like they were in quite the crash. I'm not sure if we even have junkyards in Hawaii. In any case, great resource for those individuals that are mechanically inclined. read more

Has to be one of the most woke places I ever visited. They require a mask to come in. Probably the only business in UTAH. They don't offer a mask and won't even let you use a shirt or anything as a mask. Completely disrespectful. Avoid the place if possible. Looked up in the website. Showed the car I was looking for to take a part off of. It was in the spot as online. Sectioned out lot of imports and rows labeled easy. Prices posted so perfect as needed. I would recommend. $1 entrance fee very reasonable. read more

I've been visiting salvage yards for over 40 years and today I found the absolute worst one ever! I went to find some extra wheels to mount snow tires on for my van. Walked in with my 4 way lug wrench (which should have been a dead giveaway but more on that later), paid my dollar and waited for them to ask what I was looking for like EVERY other yard in the world does. Nope. But I was kind of impressed as they had at least 20 sets of 4 matching wheels/tires in the showroom that looked pretty decent and had good prices on them. Unfortunately none that fit my vehicle but I had high hopes. So I walked into the yard and immediately noticed in the first few rows that vehicle brands were mixed. Not that unusual as the open area at the very front of many yards is often where newly arrived vehicles are staged until they are prepped (fluids/battery/personal items removed) and ready to be placed in the correct areas. About 12 rows in I realized that ALL of the vehicles were randomly mixed by brand, body type, age, condition, date received, or any other method one could use to separate motor vehicles into categories so they could be easily tracked and found. The vehicles looked like a toddler merely dumped out a big bag of Legos of all shapes and sizes and someone just lined them all up in tight, neat rows with absolutely no regard for organization. I finally found a row that had several vans in it and headed down it. I found several like mine but none had any wheels, I spotted another small group of vans that had 1 like mine but again, no wheels. I then decided that the thought that NONE of the vehicles in this yard had wheels on them was actually real! Not a single wheel or tire was present in this relatively large salvage yard except for in the showroom. I headed back to the front and asked one of the counter people about the lack of organization in the yard. He told me he could tell me what row a particular vehicle was in, but not which space. Meaning one would potentially have to walk each row from one end of the yard to the other to find the particular type vehicle they were looking for! Absolutely insane. Who has hours to just LOOK for the correct model vehicle just to find out IF the part wanted is even there; then the time to remove said part! I told the counterman that was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. Then I asked about the absence of wheels in the yard. He told me that all wheels were removed from incoming vehicles upon arrival, crushed, and sold for scrap. But if you look on their website you can search for wheels, giving the impression that they actually HAVE wheels to sell. The counterman was very defensive saying he had nothing to do with the layout of the vehicles in the yard. He told me that THREE different project teams had been employed to arrange the yard in the recent past and this is what the 3rd team came up with. I told him it was a &%@q+×÷ joke and that almost every other yard around could tell you what row and space a particular vehicle was in and some could even tell you what parts were gone off of it. I asked for my money back as I had obviously come looking for wheels (showing him my 4 way wrench) and that they could, and should of told me at the get go that they had no wheels in the yard. Of course the answer was no to the refund (who cares, it was only a buck, just the principle) and I told him I was going to leave them a glowing (fiery red hot) review and here it is. I almost forgot to mention that the vehicles in this yard are placed so closely together that if you need a door I'm not sure there's room to open them up enough to even get to the hinge bolts, or to pull an axle shaft. Same for pulling an engine; no room for an engine hoist between rows. So unless you've got HOURS to waste just trying to find the model vehicle that MIGHT have the part you want; don't go here. Just a few miles away is Tear A Part on Redwood Road. They do it right. read more

FAIR REVIEW. People only write reviews for this place is something is bad, but never if it's good. You're only going to read one star reviews from a lot of one time upset customers, but never hear from the thousands of regular customers that come every week. My interactions over the years with this location get it an honest 4 stars. I've always found parts I needed and when I call ahead to double check the staff is helpful and fair. I have returned parts with not much problem and bought parts the same way. People who receive poor treatment usually dish it out as well, and so if you're nice and understanding the staff will be the same way. Just realize that this is a business: get in, get out, and check your emotions at the door. People don't realize that you get what you pay for: if you want wonderful service and the perfect parts with no hassle, then go to the dealership. Wanna save a buck to keep an old car running? I was lock in the yard had to jump the fence to get out there was no bell no blow horn no one came out to say we are closing i was busy pulling off a part anyway iv been there before and usually the business sends someone out to give you a heads up that they are closing and there is a blow horn letting customers know there closing but not the day I was in there had to throw my tool bag over this big ass fence and then climb over it the top of the fence is thin sharp ass metal if I didnt have glove and wasn't physically fit I would have been stuck there in the yard so word of warning set a fucking alarm for 4:50pm or plan on being lock in there junk yard thank God there were no guard dogs in the yard 0 zero rating read more

Every vehicle in their inventory, cars, trucks, SUV's; has severe body damage from the employees that operate the forklifts. They smash up trunk lids to force them open, they hit vehicles hard on the side, breaking glass, etc. So if you're looking for body panels here, chances are they are damaged. If you need to pull parts inside of the vehicle, you may end up sitting on broken glass. read more

PICK-N-PULL SUCKS, went to their website, got their #,call the # only hear a message that tells you to go to their place to search for parts. so I go there with my 7yr girl and the lady informs me that kids are not aloud! WTF it would've nice if I new that before I got there and wasted more than an hour getting there and back! avoid this dump at all costs. they have old crap that's pre-2000 and whats not pre-2000 is all 1yr + old and picked over. most worthless staff humanly possible. its like they take pride in being slow and ineffective. I bought a battery they refused to honor their 30 day warranty on. this place has nothing for you. read more
