When we were discussing what the move involved (estimate of inventory, any stairs, etc) I was given a more than fair quote. Come move day, they arrived right on time and went right to work. I left them a key to lock up as I had to drive out of town to be at the end point. They took less time than they had quoted me, even with a much deserved break. These guys got me out of a jam and I can't thank them enough.

Save yourself a LOT of money and hire a few teenagers that you personally know…read more Total Moving sent me 3 teenagers and a 21 year old. There is NO way that these teenagers were trained (and the 21 year old should have been shadowing at least 2 VERY experienced movers, for a LONG time, before ever 'supervising' an inexperienced crew on his own). What a joke. Except no one was laughing. These children were nice enough fellows, but they had barely any life experience; let alone were they capable of moving possessions, for their clients that worked hard for their property. Unless you are planning on throwing away most of your furniture anyway, then save yourself the time and (lots) of MONEY. And don't bother spending the time of labelling which rooms your boxes belong in, because many won't be put in the correct room, let alone on the correct floor. REGARDLESS of which company you choose, TAKE PHOTOS of ALL of your furniture. This way, if you have to make a CLAIM, you can prove that the damages were caused by the so called 'professionals'. ***Upon making a complaint, management and the owner were nothing short of dismissive and rude. They took zero ownership for sending their inexperienced teenaged employees and the damages they caused*** And let's not forget the $800 plus tax, that I had to pay in overtime charges, because the children had no concept of time management and efficiency. If I ever move again, I will first vet companies that specialize in moving pianos and antique furniture. Maybe companies that can care for items such as that, can treat furniture with respect... AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

The crew was very friendly and efficient, then we realized (one of the members actually) that they broke an old dresser so we made a comment on their sheet of paper. I payed the expensive "insurance" beforehand that's not refundable and I'm still waiting for some $50 CAD IKea gift card they said they already sent me maybe two weeks ago to my email. I have been dealing with them for almost 8 months trying to get paid for damages and over billing…read more the lady Ali Bailey who I was dealing with had deflected and lied and even when provided with her own emails just says it's my fault for not replying soon enough. the drivers showed up high billed 4 hours more I spoke and texted with the manager who she said would see about fixing prices I had to repair damage to the one house within 24 hours due to sale and they just kept telling me that the new owners needed to get back to them about cost. ali wouldn't listen to the fact the fixes got pair for and set up by me. then damages to our 100+ year old home are being said they won't pay or fix them I wouldn't ever use them again

Coel and Mack were awesome…read more I hired Ferguson Movers (Vancouver), who told me Great Canadian would carry out the move. I guess Great Canadian subs out to Riverbend. Ferguson did the quote and it came out to be a bit cheaper after weighing. They also offered all info as recommended by CAM. Anyway, from the day they picked up to the day they dropped off, the drivers were communicative. The windows of time they offered were fairly accurate, which is understandable because of traffic and other clients along the way. They were also clear about the terms (insurance, etc.) and walked me through the paperwork. Coel is funny, knowledgable, and fast at problem-solving. Mack is super kind. Both worked really fast but took care of themselves by taking much-needed breaks. I was happy to know they value their health and our belongings. I would be happy to hire them again.
