The best Mexican food I've had in Europe in nearly 20 years living here, and full of authentic touches in the ingredients and offerings even if the decor trends to the loud, colorful, and kitsch. The proprietor is Mexican, and she and her staff are very friendly and personable.
Among the offerings are huaraches, quesadillas, hand-made guacamole with totopos, and of course a variety of tacos including one rich with chiplote, the cochinita with shredded pork, and one that makes use of a traditional mole sauce. Can't forget the floriqueso (aka queso fundido), mead with mushrooms, peppers, beans, and of course cheese.
Of course, they serve beer and tequila, and with gusto, but my partner and I were attracted to the Jarritos sodas they had available -- they aren't very common at all in Europe. read more
