The teaching approach is incredibly inspiring. You feel supported every step of the way, and all the teachers in the classes I attended were not only highly professional but also deeply encouraging. Even as a complete beginner, I never felt intimidated or out of place--you truly feel like you belong right away. I'm so grateful I found this school. After completing Level 1, I immediately enrolled in Level 2 and continued all the way through Level 4. I'm proud to say I completed the entire Improv program at Improv LA, and it has been such a transformative journey. I also took Comedy Sketch 101--it was a blast! I came in with no idea what to expect, and by the end, I created a sketch that made the whole class laugh out loud!

I liked that each week was divided up by different games, exercises, and lessons that slowly built up into a long form show. We learned the basics of improv and all its fun acronyms (yes and, CREW, etc.) and applied to to our scenes. Keith did an amazing job at making everyone feel welcomed and not scared to be vulnerable, and was an attentive teacher. I can tell he truly loves what he does because he genuinely laughs at every scene. Through this class, I also learned many life lessons: everyone is faking it till they make it, always ask more questions, embrace the silliness and absurdity of life, never stop playing, and just show up. Life is just improv if you really think about it :') Thanks Keith for a great class! Now go tap into your inner child and take an improv class!

I still highly recommend catching a show here and as many as you can in the city as it's a city of artists, musicians, actors, painters, you name it everyone comes to LA to break into some industry. A lot of local parking spots and good food spots. Personally, I wish they cleaned up the Blvd cause on a bad day it can still look as ugly as the 90's. But it's improving and getting slowly better. Make sure to check out a show here and when you walk into the lobby be sure to look up and all around!!! Exquisite!

I ended up at a matinee for Disney's Beauty and Beast so I was starving and of course I decided yea sure, the large wine was a good idea. Haha. Their snacks are basically the big chocolate chip cookie, which did save me and some nuts and candy. My friend who also came starving stole my cashews. Overall it was a great show. The bathroom situation looks out of control but the lines for the ladies moved fast, especially upstairs. I paid for parking in a lot across from the Capital Lot and it was a short walk down to Hollywood Blvd. It was super convenient not having to look for parking in Hollywood.

They have a bar, complete with Halloween themed drinks for the season, snacks, and a lounge for pre-show mingling in this cool old building that according to the people who work here...is haunted! (Not that I'm a believer, but it's quite the fun Halloween experience to entertain the idea ;) Definitely check out this great little theatre and support your local arts!

Obviously, there are many others who are enjoying great experiences with this theatre company, so it's fair to consider me and in this case, my friend, as in the minority and not having great experiences.
