Now I am undertaking not only monthly check-ups but also attending one of their additional 'unique services', Mummycise once a week. Both have been great to keep me fit and healthy and these are run by physios who specialise in pregnancy and women's health meaning I can be confident that undertaking all actions. Best of all, with extras private health cover, the cost of the weekly exercise class will give you change from a $10 note! (Personally, my health cover takes the cost down to only $5.60!)

What I can say is at Walkerville I've been given a high level of service and the treatments that I have had, along with advice and recommended exercises, have assisted me in overcoming my pain/issues. The rooms are warm and comfortable, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and there is off street parking. Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment but if you are not tied to a therapist this is less of an issue. Their fees are standard and they deal with all private health providers.

I think the key to this place is that they focus on rehabilitative care - they don't want to go on seeing you indefinately just so they can squeeze all the coin out of your pockets. They combine traditional physiotherapy and clinical pilates with deep tissue massage and even some acupuncture to speed the whole process up (only if you're open to it of course). It's this combination of tools employed that has been so successful for me and I can't recommend them enough!

The clinic is run by the University of South Australia and is staffed by fourth year students from the Physiotherapy degree. Don't stress about receiving below-par treatment though, because there is always several tutors on and the students have to report to them constantly about their patients and their thoughts for treatments. The sessions are so cheap at $10 for the first hour consultation and then $5 after that for every half hr consultation. There is also rarely a long waiting period and if you rang up on any given day it should not take more than a couple of days to get you booked in. Their range of services include: * Back, neck and limb pain * Sports injuries * Orthopaedic injuries (including rehabilitation after surgery) * Headaches * Repetition strain injuries, overuse syndromes and other work related problems * Movement related disorders. They will also come up with a selection of exercises that you can take home with you which will help you continue with your treatment plan long after you have gone home.
