I wouldn't go here as I wasted days getting this referral in place and no I am back at square one. Seems like a new patient coordinator having held the office position for 16 years as she stated would make sure the staff dealing with patients seeking helpful transfer information would provide prospective patients with accurate information. So each night I am kept awake with my pain I will remember this disrespectful treatment. Beware. I should have listened to the other reviews.

If I have a bad experience, I just vent to my mom or a friend and move on. But this time was different. I sobbed so hard in my car afterward that I felt the need to warn others. Here's what happened in just one visit: 1. He compared me to other patients and brushed off my pain ("you shouldn't feel that bad, other patients have been in pain longer than you"). 2. He literally told me he can't work with me because of how I think ("if you're going to have certain opinions about PT, then I can't help you"). 3. He cut me off and the visit felt rushed--"Hold on, I'm not finished talking yet"--as if my voice didn't matter. I felt completely degraded. It honestly felt like I paid $100 just to be roasted by my doctor. I left feeling smaller than when I walked in. This was the first time I've ever cried during and after a doctor's appointment. He lacked empathy, compassion, and any sense of professional bedside manner. The whole thing was disturbing, cold, and incredibly unprofessional. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. No one can ever prepare you for a life-altering, chronic, debilitating illness. I'm a mother of 4,…read moremarried for nearly a quarter of a century to a hard-working, Greek man. Our whole world collapsed on December 23, 2021. I woke up in excruciating pain, unable to fully take a whole breath. After being admitted to the hospital, I found out I had a severe form of necrotizing pancreatitis. After spending more than half a year in the hospital I was released with humility in my heart for being able to see my children grow up. In time, we realized that I had a chronic form of pancreatic disease. I will suffer flare-ups in perpetuity. My diet would make most people look slack-jawed at how minimalist it is. Cooked veggies, bone-broth, High-protein Ensure. That's basically it. Everything else causes severe pain. Trust me, I've tried. All of this leads me to Dr Murphy and his Chronic pain-management practice. Unlike many doctors, Dr Murphy and his staff are warm and welcoming and treat you like family. The amount of professionalism at this practice is in a league of its own. I filled out a twenty-four page package that allowed Dr Murphy to treat me to the best of his ability before I even stepped foot in his practice. They do random drug & alcohol screenings so that he can give you the very best care. I feel safe knowing that I'm being treated with the highest medical standards within a practice that I can trust to really make sure I am not only treating my pain, but, safely doing so. I cannot recommend Dr Murphy and his staff enough. I'd trust them with own health, as well as any loved ones, if they should ever need such services. If you're looking for a serious chronic pain management practice that takes into account your mental and physical health as well as all safety measures, look no further. This is the place to go.

Why 4 stars? Because I'm hopeful that they will help…read more --- --- --- I've had pain in my lower back and hip for nearly a couple years now. I've seen numerous doctors, physical therapists, etc but I haven't quite been able to get over these issues that I've had. A few months ago, I received a cortisone shot in my hip at another business and it relieved part of the pain I was having. Because of that, my orthopedist suggested that we try the same thing in the areas of my back where I'm most symptomatic. I made an appointment at Florida Pain Medicine because they were the only place I could find that offered these cortisone shots that are covered by my insurance. The trade-off is that it's not easy to get an appointment here, as it's been a couple/few weeks out each time. For my evaluation, the doctor gave me a few tips and pieces of advice for how to help myself moving forward, but agreed that I could use a couple of cortisone shots. Unfortunately, the earliest appointment I could make is still a few weeks out, but I'm excited to finally have something to hopefully allow myself to take the next step forward. Fingers crossed that this will take care of some of the pain, and with other physical therapy and mobility exercises, I can finally return to a life free of back issues!

I was referred to him by my previous PCM saying he was one of the best Pain Management doctors in the area. On my first visit he was rude and didn't seem to care about a thing I had to say, which was shortly after a surgery. A few weeks later I returned, because I was in the worst possible pain and he gave me medication saying that it would help me go back to my normal routine. It did nothing for me. I called and let the front desk know that the medication wasn't helping and my pain was getting worse. I was called back and had an appointment scheduled 3 weeks later. When I went to this appointment I asked the lady at the front desk if Dr. Flynn is usually rude to his patients, because all my visits with him I felt like I was taking up his time and essentially inconveniencing him. She responded with no, but I ended up going to another Doctor who diagnosed me with CRPS. Something that could've been diagnosed sooner had he actually taken the time to listen to what I had to say instead of just prescribing medication.
