The office is clean and calming. His response time is punctual. I received PRP about three times, physical therapy advice, HCG therapy, stem cell treatment once, along with ultrasound treatment and dextrose water injections. These were done over the course of four to five years for a labrum surgery recovery due to a torn in half labrum and torn nerves in both arms as well as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I'm doing much better now

Within 5min of being at Dr. Wardwell's practice, he had imaged my achilles via ultrasound, diagnosed it as partially torn and had a proposed treatment plan - PRP and stem cell injections for my back, achilles and foot. He doesn't just treat the injury, but treats the full body, focusing on the the root cause to prevent re-injury. 4mo later - I'm back to running and am not limited in any activity. More importantly, I'm not hobbling out of bed every morning (which previously, I was resigned to doing for the rest of my life). I'm so appreciative for Dr Wardwell and the huge quality of life he has given to me. Also shoutout to Randy, who runs the office and is such a pleasure.

I have successfully used Accupuncture in the past for sciatic pain so thought let me try this wonderful practice again. I was paired with Dr. Mary - who I just love. I am happy to report that after 4 sessions, I have more mobility and less pain in my shoulder and arm. I am pain free for several days and don't need to rely on NSAIDs. I am in a 12 weeks program - and am using this to heal several areas that need this treatment. If you are on the fence, don't be, accupuncture and this team (and facility) are just incredible.

According to my experience, areas for improvement are patient education and user experience. Communication with FMSF practitioner/s can be clunky since there is a middle person to go through. I would also get frustrated with the redundant forms you are asked to fill out before every appointment. It made it even worse because it became clear to me over time the practitioners were not always reading them before our appointments. Patient education was not direct or concise enough for my liking. I informed Dr. Daniel's during our first meeting that patient education was a must for me in terms of Dr., patient fit. I never completely understood my own illness the 1 year + I was with Dr. Daniels, not for lack of trying to understand it. Lastly, I thought it was misleading that Scott, the FMSF accountant, who onboarded me to the clinic told me that treatment + supplements should be around $5,000 to get me better. I had spent double that and was feeling marginally better by the time I left the practice. The marginal improvement was partly due to my own personal choices to stay in my graduate program, which precluded me from adhering to lifestyle interventions, but knowing what I know now about mold and Lymes, $5,000 for treatment is not a realistic figure. I've learned now that on average people with Lyme spend about $75,000 out of pocket. When I asked Dr. Daniels about this she said they could not take responsibility for what her staff member said. I found this answer unsatisfactory. Dr. Daniels certainly has the ability to help people with complex illnesses get better, she helped a friend of mine recover, but I think you should know what you are getting into and/or know how to manage the process. Like another reviewer said on Dr. Daniel's San Francisco offices Yelp page, there's not a lot of hand holding or filling in the gaps. You really have to advocate for patient centered care, which is just an added burden when you're sick. In fact that's why I was paying them, to take some of that burden off of me. I do want to end on a positive note because I am grateful for the diagnosis and care I did receive from Dr. Daniel and Lisa. They did show me a bit of grace throughout the process, knowing I was a student with limited funds. Also, it's a huge plus that Dr. Daniels is a D.O. because she can provide prescription medication when necessary, as opposed to a naturopath who cannot. I did get out of my moldy house due to Dr. Daniels, which was a big first step.

I used to run races, bike, hike, roller blade etc.. I loved being active. After I had my first child, I could walk but with a great deal of pain and spasms galore. After many, many physical therapists, many many physical medicine doctors, a few chiropractors, I am finally seeing signs of success with Dr. Daniel Shadoan. It really took me 6 visits to see enough change to be optimistic. I kept going to him because this was really my last hope. I had tried everything else. Dr. Shadoan is an incredibly kind and compassionate healer. Every time I see him, I believe he truly wants to help me. I have seen soooo many m.d.s who just prescribed medication, pain relievers, etc. who never touched or looked at my body. It was rare to see an m.d. that I believe wanted me to heal. I had one m.d. tell me I was just going to have to accept that I would be this way (and progressively worse) for the rest of my life! I was not very familiar with d.o.s and had more confidence in m.d.s before seeing Dr. Shadoan. Now, I can't believe I didn't go to a d.o. years and years ago! I drive over an hour one way to get to Dr. Shadoan. He is so worth it. You are the reason I joined yelp. I hope to help other people out there in pain or in need. Don't let the wait list and long wait deter you. I waited 3 months to get an appointment with him but it was well worth it.

I often thought what I would do without Eliot, and he took care of this by bringing in someone who is just like him with the talent and grace to achieve a balanced pain free body. I fell at 3yrs old with a concussion it was at 27 that I found the back pain was due to a structural issue, my L5 and S1 fused. This is when I first had an osteopathic manipulative. The first step was a hearing test, and lo and behold, he had middle ear fluid and wasn't hearing everything. Little L's ear drums weren't functioning normally. He'd only had one ear infection his entire life, so we had no idea there was any issue with his ears. Plus, sometimes he heard the darndest things. After two failed hearing tests, the Kaiser ENT doc suggested we get him ear tubes. It's a minor surgical procedure and very common these days, but I scrambled to see if there were non-invasive alternatives. We dabbled a bit in CranialSacral, Ayurvedic, and eventually landed in Osteopathy. That's where the very capable Dr. Horn came in and the healing began. I sought out Michael Horn because he practices Biodynamic and Biomechanical Osteopathy, and he's a member of the Cranial Academy. When I called, he was accessible and very nice over the phone. After three 45-minute sessions with Dr. Horn, my son's ear fluid is gone and he can hear again. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/3Mzps3CkJyzE2gLIw-FSwA?select=tJWg-5X4yLxy8t5uH7Ae2A Today we had a hearing test at Kaiser Audiology and my son's hearing is well within the range of normal for the first time since we've tested it as a toddler. We dodged the surgery, and this mom couldn't be happier. Dr. Horn is practices non-invasive hands-on osteopathic medicine and he's excellent with patients. When the session is over, he makes a balloon out of an exam glove for my son. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/3Mzps3CkJyzE2gLIw-FSwA?select=kPHZoP9f8BvNlNPWrD8RYQ 5 stars for healing and avoiding surgery!

For seeing me so late in the afternoon on a Friday, I would say he has quite a bit of positive energy flowing through him. I don't usually go to him for my medical issues but my regular medical provider (Jennie Cossman, PA-C from One Medical Group) was out of the office so I almost felt like I was cheating on her. But, don't worry, Jennie, I will come back to you. He has not stolen me away. ;) So although Steven/Steve would throw out a few medical terms (ones that I probably gave him a strange look with), he went back and made it so I could understand what he was saying. And it wasn't a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am kind of appt. He listened and responded. Woot woot! Overall, a very friendly, energetic and talkative (not chatty and irrelevant but one that will have a non-tangential conversation with you) guy. I will be sure to ask for him if Jennie is away from her office again. P.S. Did I mention that I snagged this appointment the same day, just 4 hours shy of the appointment?
