The "video's" where also delivered over a month later and I'm still waiting for an updated version of the last one (1.5 months later) when I was told I would have it within two weeks..

I thought that I would be helping a new photographer increase his business. Well he took the pictures in bright sun, didn't use the proper lenses, and I looked like I was 100 years old. He had no idea of where the light would be best and I couldn't use any of the pictures. It's said natural light is best but he didn't know how to adjust the light with the pictures. He charged $200 and it was indeed a waste of money. I wish him well but he should learn his craft.

We first met John Rizzo at my husband's brother's wedding in 2012, where he had done the wedding…read moreand engagement package, to the fullest. The photos were elegant, and sharp, and he truly captured the feeling, and crowd, and the fun of their wedding. When we started planning our wedding in 2013, I didn't even research other photographers. I got in touch with John, first, hoping he could work with us, and would work with us. He got back to me immediately, and even remembered us from the wedding in 2012--of course my husband was the best man, so it helped :-)--and although he was working on a project in Africa, he was happy to talk to us about our needs, and the estimates and dates, etc. We actually wanted something a bit unique in terms of a wedding photographer, and a special type of package. He was so happy to accommodate, and work with our needs. Being so busy before the big day, it was wonderful to receive an email from John confirming the when and where's. On the day, John was early, and immediately went to work capturing every second, and interesting visual. As the bride, I didn't even feel him there, although when I saw the photos, he was EVERYWHERE. And captured every moment...so many more moments than I could have ever been aware of. There were some photos that were so amazing of guests at the wedding that we had them printed and framed for them. Of course there were so may wonderful portraits of us, the bride and groom, and the family, (although let's be honest...always a bit scary to look at so many pictures of yourself...:-) that we are still realizing that we need another printed, and another, and another. After the wedding, we received our photos and package from John within a few weeks!! It was amazing! I feel like we were a bit luckier than most, because John is a multi-purpose photographer...commercial work, magazine covers, large events, and we were able to snag him for our wedding. I would recommend him, and have recommended him for all important events, and even family portraits, or special events. I met John after being drawn into his Dobbs Ferry studio by the stunning work he has hanging in the…read morespace. He was so enthusiastic....and his work so beautiful...that I made a mental note in case I had any need for a photographer in the future. When my husband turned 50, we decided to host his extended family of 26 people ranging in age from 1 to 91 at a local hotel named Mohonk. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture our children with their cousins and all 6 of their grandparents. In an absolute stroke of luck, John was available the Saturday I needed him because he was shooting a Friday night wedding that weekend. John brought a lovely assistant, who also had a camera and took beautiful shots from angles very different from John's. He met us at 3 pm down by the beach and took casual, fun and lively pictures. Then after a brief break to clean up, we all met for the more formal pictures. He came up with some really creative ways to include the physical beauty of the resort into the pictures. There are pictures on the balconies, throughout the gardens and even spread out within the garden taken from up high. After we finished the formal portraits, he stayed to take candids at a cocktail party, lobster bake and bonfire. The pictures are beyond stunning and he was incredibly fun and easy to work with. He shoots in a way that focuses on smaller interactions and emotional moments. Absolutely recommended without a moment's hesitation!!!

I heard about Kelly from a friend who used her for her wedding. When I saw the amazing wedding…read morephotos, I hired her to take portraits of my 15 month old. I was so happy with the outcome. You really have to see her pictures to believe how good she is. She got my toddler, who literally wont hold still for a minute, to look like a child model in the photos! :-) She helped me choose some beautiful local outdoor locations to shoot in, and they really added to the portraits. She was very easy to work with and I liked her online picture ordering system. I would use her again for sure. Of course you get what you pay for, so make sure you are aware of her prices before you start- this aint the Sears portrait studio ;-)
