She is professional, creative, and resourceful, with an eye for great lighting and angles. She brings her own backgrounds, props, and accessories for babies--many of them handmade! She works quickly and efficiently, so she'll already have 50 shots snapped while everyone's smiles are still genuine. Her prices are very reasonable, too, which is great because high cost can stand in the way of your desire to capture those magical months of pregnancy and those precious first few weeks of life. I highly recommend Kim!

She got my fiance's name wrong on all of them (even though she had his name in writing), and when I emailed her to correct it, she did not even apologize for or acknowledge the mistake-- terrible customer service. Our package included a 1-hour photography session, two 8x10 prints, and a web-ready disc of all images that we could use for posting our pictures to our wedding website, facebook, etc. When we received the package, the two 8x10s we selected were very bad quality-- the coloring was off and we both looked like ghosts! We will never display them in our home and even my mom didn't want them! For the "web-ready disc," every single image had Kim Russell's name/logo across the MIDDLE of the photo, which made them look terrible... the name should have been at the top or bottom of the photo if she wanted to advertise. Again, I'm not displaying the images anywhere. All in all, even though we didn't pay all that much for the package, it was a complete waste and I regret purchasing through Kim Russell Photography. I would not recommend her to anyone.

After looking through…read moredozens and dozens of books, we couldn't find anyone who truly captured the moment or the love until I saw Jeannine's and fell in love. It was a bonus that she was so fun and easy to work with! She was so amazing during my wedding planning process, she always had ideas or words of encouragement for me when I would message her all stressed out or even when she just checked in to see how things were going (which she did frequently during the two years I planned!). The day of my wedding she was there, she quickly knew everyone's names and who they were (vendors, wedding party, and family members) which made the day much easier. With a wedding party of 16 she really had to corral us often but she did and always got the shot. She was open to my suggestions but always knew what she was doing, had a plan, and came up with the best ideas along the way. She is really good at using what is around to her advantage making it seem like it was always supposed to be that way. She is awesome. She is fun. And she is really, really good at her job. I will never use another photographer again!

When looking through her previous work, she had a great mix of fun and traditional, which was exactly what we were looking for. After meeting with her, we both quickly agreed that we had found the perfect fit, both in terms of style and personality. Jeannine was incredibly helpful throughout the process, making planning from 1,200+ miles away much less stressful. The night before the wedding, there was a change of weather in the forecast and Jeannine was quick to walk us through alternative plans if needed and put our minds at ease. The day of, she was energetic and fun, but also great at keeping everyone on task! Her general 'vibe' worked SO well with our whole crew, and she managed to get everyone's personalities in photos. She captured the ceremony perfectly and got some amazing candid shots of our guests dancing during the reception. The photos even came back sooner than expected and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! We would highly recommend Jeannine to photograph your big day! Smile...Say Cheeeeese!…read more Kelly at Silver Blossom is a phenomenal photographer. She's been our family photographer for the past 4 years based on a recommendation from my sister in law and their adorable baby and toddler pics of their kids. Now we're hooked. You will be impressed by the quality of the pics, the lighting, the landscape, the way she directs you and your family to make everyone feel comfy and to eventually get great pics. We get annual pics cause phone pics just don't cut it. I included a couple of our pics from last weekend in N St Paul and literally got them back 4 days later! Crazy quick turnaround. Love em! They're gorg!

I've had 2 sessions with Kelly at her studio in North St Paul. She did my maternity pictures and…read morethe newborn pictures for my twin boys. I was so happy with the results of both sessions! I get so many compliments whenever I show off any of my pictures. Before we had our first session, The Man was super skeptical; he was all like "can't your sister just use her nice camera and take some pictures?" I said no, and he agreed to purchase a 10 picture package. During the session, Kelly did such a good job making us feel comfortable and relaxed, that he actually even smiled for a few of the pics (he usually takes terrible pictures, like he's in pain or something.) She even let us bring our dog (our first baby) and incorporated him into a few shots. After the session, The Man was feeling better about the quality of the images we were going to receive, and he agreed to increase the package we bought to the 20 image one. (Kelly put no pressure on us or anything like that- I just really wanted to get all the images we could!) For our newborn session, Kelly, again, was so good with her subjects. The session lasted about 3 hours, and she was so gentle and patient with our boys that they would just curl up and fall asleep when she held them. She had so many props and backgrounds that I could have never chosen, but she knew just what to do with each outfit I brought, and added in a few of her own props too. Her pricing is terrific, considering you also get the copyrights to the images, which is so great for making birth announcements or Shutterfly books, or sharing on Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, you should "like" her page. She puts up a few images from a lot of the sessions she does, and it's so fun to see the babies, kiddos, families, high school seniors, and I'm pretty sure I've seen some wedding pictures too. Oh- she has a beautiful studio, but also does outdoor sessions, some of which are absolutely stunning! So basically, I can't say enough good things about The Silver Blossom, and you should for sure get your next pictures done here!

If you want photos your friends will be jealous of, but aren't sure how to achieve that, hire Coppersmith. You're not just buying someone who knows how to hold a camera and edit photos, you're buying their minds and ideas. While we knew what style of photography we wanted, we had no idea how to achieve them. My husband's one request was a photo of the bridal party that looked liked a "cast shot" from a TV show. They ran with the idea, found a gorgeous background, posed the 14 person party, and captured a great moment. Throughout the whole day, they were always thinking of creative angles and set ups to capture every moment. After the ceremony (we did the photos before), they proactively found scenes to photograph, truly working for the full 8 hours we had hired them. The benefits did not end with the night however. More than a thousand photographs (without the annoying watermarks) were edited and uploaded to our personal website (with an app) before we were even home from our honeymoon. Given that our friends and families are spread throughout the country and world, it was so easy to share the photos by just sending them the link. We didn't have to worry about finding a website to host hundreds of GBs of data and then upload from a CD or flash drive. They did that all for us!
