Good pictures start from being at ease and Carrie will definitely put you at ease. Even from the first consultation, she makes you feel like you are the only client and the only one that matters. Her pictures are amazing and every now and then she'll say "Let me try something" - those will be the best pictures. One thing I was not expecting was for her to help me draw up a timeline for the day. I didn't have a wedding planner and kind of cobbled it all together myself. Carrie, based on all her experience, advised me on getting hair and makeup done earlier (she was right), having the flowers delivered earlier (she was right again - especially since the delivery was running late), and leaving earlier to get to the church. As she said, no bride has ever complained about being too early. I wasn't too early at any stage and her timeline actually prevented me from being late and stressed out. The second photographer she came with (Dan) was just as great. After meeting him for the first time on the day of the wedding, I was instantly at ease with him in under 5 mins. I jumped the gun a little and thought spring would come early (due to a couple of days of really nice weather.) Unfortunately the temperature dropped again. Every weekend (this was the only time that worked for my husband and I) we tried to get the shoot done it would either be too cold or poor weather. This went on for about a month before we could end up actually doing the shoot. Emily was SO understanding. She was super flexible with her schedule and easy to work with. She stayed in constant contact with me until the day of. Communication was great. I don't think she ever took more than 24 hours to respond but usually I'd hear back from her within a few hours. The photoshoot: I have nothing to complain about here. She was just as great in person as she was via email. She gave direction while not being too pushy. She also listened to all of my ideas and made sure that we got every shot I wanted The photos: They came out great. I asked Emily if I could pretty pretty please have some finished photos within the next 7 days. I had a friends and family event and wanted them for the occasion. That night I was surprised to receive an email from her letting me know that she's already edited a few photos and I can have a look at them! I also received most of the other photos in time for my event as I asked. Everyone loved them and I was even told that "this might be the best maternity shoot I've ever seen". Conclusion: I was originally hesitant to work with Emily due to some poor reviews (only a couple) on Yelp. My hesitancy was completely unwarranted. I highly recommend Emily Main Photography and look forward to working with her again in the future.

I was in a bit of a crunch because my fiancee is in the military, and I wanted to take pictures before he went back overseas. I talked to Stephanie over the phone before the photoshoot to go over the location, and the type of photos I was looking for in the session. She was professional and very accommodating. She arrived early to check out the location I had picked, and we talked about some ideas beforehand and during the session. It was my first time taking formal pictures in public like this, so I was nervous, but she made us feel very comfortable. At the end I was so happy with the results, the picture came out were AMAZING!! Fast forward to wedding planning (2019). . . I contacted Steph and Tim. I felt so comfortable during the engagement photoshoot with her, that there was no one else in mind to photograph my wedding. During the wedding process we talked about pricing (she was very fair), and the types of photos I wanted. During the wedding she was very patient, kind, and professional. Everyone at my wedding party, including the vendors loved her! She was exceptional! The day after the wedding she send me 7 samples, and the results were breathtaking!
