I made an online appointment very easily a few days before my baby shower so I could get photos done before my shower. Lupe did a great job! We added a family photo as well and my son was sleepy since it was before his nap time. She got him to giggle and smile and we love the photos. It was also down quickly which I appreciate. We picked up our photos today and they came out great both digitally and physically. We even got a huge family photo printed out! It was a great experience and we will be returning in the future! Loved loved loved the outcome of the photos! I set this photoshoot for my cousin's graduation photos. Surprisingly my cousin forgot her cap and tassel and the studio had every color option, year, and style for graduates. So this was perfect. Her graduates school colors were a dark teal and tan color and they had both colors. I truly appreciated this part of the service. The photographer made sure the hair was in place the the poses were right to point, although I was there to do the same thing. The photographers would beat me to it. I loved everything about them. Had a graduation session for my daughter a week ago ... young lady who helped during the session was really good at posing my daughter wish I knew her name because her customer service was amazing. However , when picking up my package I spend over $700 for I noticed my daughter picked majority of photos where she didn't smile . I decide to add two more photos where she was . Only to be told that I couldn't have them in digital form only printed for $21plus for a print of each . Who really shares prints anymore . There needs to be digital copy packages . Went here to get a disposable camera developed and was met with some of the worst developing I have ever seen. Main guy who made the photos said, " I develop, what I want to see". Camera had 36 pictures taken and only received 16 back with the vast majority of them not being visible and terrible quality. Never come here for this sort of project, wasn't even a good price. Photo quality is great. Staff is nice. However, photo packages are overpriced! You cannot add on digital pictures unless you want to spend over $500. The photo package we got was number 1 for $350. It included 5 (5x7 prints) and only 5 digital photos. Who tf needs print photos anymore these days. You can honestly print them yourself for a fraction of what they are charging. The cold part is you can't even add on more digital photos for an extra fee (one by one) BUT they have it listed on there board as if you can. Price gouging at its finest!!! read more

A month ago I booked a session to have some photos taken of my husband and I. My husband wanted to take some throwback photos that looked like the ones many of us took in the mall with the airbrush backgrounds back in the 2000s. We found this place online after searching for a studio that still offered these photos. We booked our session on his Birthday. We arrived at our appointment time and took our photos, the session lasted about 10 minutes. We walked around to the front and were shown our poses on a computer screen where they digitally inserted the background of our choice. We selected a few photos and proceeded to review their packages. I was completely caught off guard by how expensive this was. Granted, I know the price of everything has increased, but I found this to be a bit ridiculous for what we got. We were extremely disappointed that we wouldn't be receiving any of our photos the same day, unless we opted to purchase a pricier package that included digital photos. They refuse to let us purchase any digital files individually. If wanted a package that included 1 digital file the starting price was $275.95. This was really disappointing since we were doing these to celebrate my husband's birthday and he was hoping to share a photo for his birthday on social media. I would be more willing to invest in a photo package had it been for engagement photos or maternity photos but a 10 minute quick session at a mall photo studio did not seem worth it. I take full responsibility for not doing my research prior to booking the session and unfortunately walked away feeling ripped off. I also would like to add that the staff was not very sympathetic, understanding or willing to work with us in any way shape or form. Our photos were ready for us to pick up a week later. when my husband arrived to collect our order, it was missing two mugs that we had purchased along with our printed photos. To their credit they dropped the mugs off at my husband's work place so we wouldn't have to make the half hour drive again to pick them up. Overall, the photos came out nice but I do not feel like the finished product was equivalent to the amount of money we spent. Considering the fact we weren't even able to enjoy the photos on his actual birthday. I wish I would have spent that money doing something else to celebrate. read more

I had a pretty amazing experience here. I came in the evening time with my baby for her first photo shoot. We had gone though three outfits and she fell asleep on the third. But we managed to get some pretty nice photos while she was sleeping we paid five dollars for the fee and came back the next morning. The next morning went pretty smoothly I think considering my baby is five months old. They were patient and they helped suggest ideas. They do a very good job of helping you select really nice photos. And the cool thing is you can buy individual extras. Patience, creativity, and an eye for beauty are the words that come to mind when I think of Lorena and her team at Photo Makers at the Carson Mall. I have gotten my daughters pictures taken there several times and they were always beautiful. We recently took Christmas Photos as a family and taking photos with a toddler and a baby is not easy. Trying to get both children to look at the camera and smile at the same time is very difficult, which requires a lot of patience and a genuine smile. A few things that stood out to me was that Lorena was able to tell when our 6 month old was getting agitated and gave us time to feed her so that should would stay calm. Their backgrounds are very pretty and festive I was never worried if I was going to like the background or not. They make sure to give enough time to take pictures and change outfits several times, I never felt rushed or an inconvenience. The gentleman who helped us select our photos was very patient as well, when you have over 30 photos it's never easy to select a few, but he made the process easy for us. Makes me sad that Photo Makers doesn't have a higher rating. I love this place! I took my senior graduation pictures with them and they did a remarkable job. My classmates were all jealous that my pictures looked so much better than their own (and for waaaaay less)! I don't know the name of the photographer I shot with but he made a great experience even better. Today I came in for my US passport photos. I called before I came in to find out the wait time and price. The phone attendant was kind and to the point. I came in and was serviced right away. My pictures look great and it was a cheap price. I needed to get some pictures printed to display on the table at my wedding the next day. I found this place on yelp and I was hesitant because of the negative reviews. Lorena was helpful when I first got here but the frames they had didn't match the vibes of my wedding. So I walked over to Burlington Coat Factory and picked up some small table frames. When I returned to print my pictures they had closed a few minutes prior but Lorena and Lupe still took my order and printed my pictures. One bummer is although we made an appointment, we did have to wait about 15 minutes because the previous shoot wasn't done. The young woman who took our daughter's photos was very polite and creative when it came to designing the set with props and such. Very "Pinterest-ish"....which is what I was looking for :) They were also patient when my little diva got grumpy/hungry and they had no problems with me feeding her mid-session.
