Getting even a good iPhone picture can be difficult! That said, after being a little disappointed with my daughter's six-month photo shoot results, I went in search of a new photographer for her nine-month/family session. Luckily for us, we found Tony. He impressed me from the beginning with his responsiveness and the instant willingness to do an outside photo shoot in December. Tony has an amazing eye for detail and carefully explained how he wanted to set up the various shots. He has a way of making you feel at ease and like you're not posing. My husband enjoys photography as a hobby, and Tony was generous with his tips and tricks. The results were amazing! He was able to capture her little personality beautifully. The pictures really are pieces of art-his skill just shines through. His way of capturing the light and the colors is pretty incredible. He answered all our calls, emails and questions promptly throughout the whole process, from booking to receiving our final photos! During our session we discovered how very warm and clearly passionate he is about what he does. We would even go so far as to call him the "baby whisperer". We were so impressed with how gentle and patient he was in handling our 14 day old newborn girl and his ability to swaddle and calm her so adeptly. We were so grateful to have the professional detailed handout on what to expect during the session and how to prepare. It just made it so much easier for us to know how the morning would go and what we could do to make it as pleasant of an experience for our baby and ourselves. On the morning of the shoot he was exactly on time. For us new parents trying to balance preparing with everything from nursing, eating breakfast, getting ready, and twelve other things, it was so appreciated that he was neither early nor late, the timing was just perfect. Tony is nothing if not prepared, he came with his bag of goodies and brought a good variety of baskets, outfits, wraps, backdrops, and even professional lighting equipment for our shoot so that we would receive a variety of unique photos and poses. He even brought a custom travel themed backdrop and setup after we had mentioned how much how much we love to travel! He was very flexible and patient during our shoot and even extended the session since we lost some extra time due to changing, feeding and general fussiness from our newborn. The final images we received are gorgeous! You can see a few of our favorites here, but there are so many beautiful ones... it's hard to pick faves! Tony's pricing, the shoot experience, the photographer, the final images and overall experience is just what we were looking for! We are definitely going to be using him for our future family photography needs.

She suggested several locations for our shoot for us to choose from and she was flexible on timing. What was really amazing, though, is that she was able to get some beautiful shots of our young kids, one of whom was being atypically challenging that day. Anne worked him (she is great with the kids), posed us well, and did her best to capture some of the family personality. Nevertheless, my wife and I left the photoshoot frustrated that one son had behaved so badly and we basically wrote off the photoshoot in our minds. However, when we saw Anne's pictures the next week, we were amazed--the pictures were fantastic! Were we even at the same photoshoot?? I highly recommend using Lily Anne Photography. Not only did she handle my 8 days old baby very easily and gently, she also got my 2.5yr old to comply, which I had no hopes for. Now I have a big canvas of my toddler sitting on a super cute chair, in a perfect position, smiling, looking at the camera, and holding his tiny baby brother who is asleep. I can't get enough of this photo :) Her studio is so cute, many different props. She is accommodating, very gentle and patient, and she knows babies.
