Matt is also funny and has a lot of humor which makes going not so bad. The rest of the staff is always friendly and I have never had a problem with any of them. Well, I have been there for half a year so they have to put with me.

After having surgery for a broken wrist, I found myself having almost no range of motion in my…read moredominant hand. Needless to say I was somewhat panicked. I was prescribed an OT and after asking a few ppl, ended up at the Westwood Plaza office of Vantage PT. First of all, the entire staff-- from the first young lady who took my call to the receptionists that I saw weekly to the OT, Kathy Jo, who planned and worked my treatment--was professional and kind. I never waited more than 3-4 minutes to get started and always felt like I was progressing. I felt like Kathy Jo knew just how far to push me, not letting me take the easy way out, but also reading my needs. I had "homework" to do which I did gladly. I'm sharing my appts with another OT now, Lynn, and I find her knowledgeable as well. I'm happy I made this choice.

I have a major knee injury in between the closing of my branch at work and losing job and insurance…read moreand getting set up on COBRA. I cannot walk,put weight on or move in the slightest without terrible pain and spasms in my leg. I initially went to a local ER that x- rayed me, take Motrin,wrapped my knee in ace bandages and gave me crutches. They told me to follow up with my Ortho because x-rays don't show tendon damage. A few days later I called here and explained the situation. They refused to see me. I understand this is a service - I told them I would be getting insurance that would cover me retroactively and also I had money to pre pay or send pay. A very unsympathetic person told me that they would call me back. Ten minutes later she calls me back claiming the doctor looked at my report from Conemaugh( which I'm sure actually happened) and that I should follow up with my family doctor. What the actual heck. My family doctor can't do anything! I do not need a referral so really?? I have been going here since high school for various knee problems - I just have bad knees and when I'm having an insane amount of pain and can't even walk they refuse to do anything. Again I offered to pre pay. I told them I was just in this weird window. They would rather a regular loyal client continue to be in agony and mess up my leg further then help me in anyway. Honestly, I hope people here realize the only reason they are popular is they don't have a lot of competition. I understand they are a business. But turning down a paying client who is in agony because they are lazy,greedy and ineffectual is unforgiveable. You know what people say about karma.
