Can't say that I'd return to this salon. It was recommended to me and while I'm glad they have consistently had a good experience, the lack of quality during my one visit was enough for me not to want to return. For starters I absolutely hate when (and this is at any salon) I get hounded and pressured into getting gel instead of regular polish. If I say I want regular, then that's what I want and that should be the end of that. I've clearly thought about my decision. There were so many people that came up to me trying to get me to change my mind and then the last lady, my actual tech, said that they don't have the dryers anymore so I HAD to get gel. Was this true? Idk. But I was over it and them and ready to get out of there so I gave in and said I'd go with gel. Then the lady messed up a bunch of times and blamed me for moving my toes when I didn't and that took longer than expected. I was never offered a drink when everyone that came in or was already there was. The remote for the massage chair wasn't easy to use either. I will never be going here again or recommending it to anyone. I had nothing but horrible customer service with a complete lack of professionalism. Throughout my entire manicure, two men were standing over me and the woman doing my nails and talking to her in a different language. They never once acknowledged my presence and proceeded to stare at my hands the entire time?? I have no idea what they were doing but I was extremely uncomfortable with two men hovering over me for what felt like the entire manicure. In addition to the awful customer service experience and lack of human decency, my gelX nails started to chip and break/fall off after 3 days. Very disappointing experience today. Before I get into the exchange, allow me to say that Jayson is an amazing nail artist who did a wonderful job on my nails and toes!!! Ten stars for Jayson! I chipped one nail, and I came in today for a repair. Upon arrival I was neither greeted nor welcome by the receptionist. After signing in I was told to wash my hands. Because this request was not made on Sunday, I inquired about the request, to which the receptionist responded; "You must not have been here when I was here, because I ask everyone to do it. Go wash your hands." I obliged, because I was here for Jayson, but this unprofessional response didn't sit right with me. As I had my nails repaired, two customers walked in. The first came for brows and the second was instructed to sit at her tech's nail desk. Neither were asked to wash their hands. They were, however, greeted and invited to sit and wait. Upon my exit, I inquired about the distinction in request and the receptionist became visibly indignant--a sentiment manifested in her raised voice and defensive tone. It is worth mentioning that she took no moment to reflect or adjust after I asked her why she was yelling. Instead, she kept yelling "You are wrong." I asked to speak with a manager/owner and she refused my request yelling: "I am not giving you that, and demanded that I leave. I want to highlight that I never raised my voice or did anything besides ask 2 questions. So being asked to leave (when I was already leaving), was a poor attempt at a power play by someone disarmed when confronted about their ill intentions. For the record, I do think having customers wash their hands prior to receiving services is a sanitary and germane request. This request, however, should be extended to all customers, not just the ones with a natural tan. However, given the trajectory of the encounter, my initial detection of prejudice was spot on... As much as I enjoyed my services from Jayson, I will not pay to be disrespected by a racist receptionist. read more

Most painful pedicure I have ever received. Technician going so fast for no reason, because no one waiting. She called out "done ma'am" when finished, picked up her tray, and gave me zero assistance to get out of the chair that kept me so far away my knee was locked for most of the time. I looked down and saw this mess and asked, "is this NASCAR, or is she late for something more pressing?" Another technician working in someone had to help me out of chair and I paid $55 for this! Absolutely DO NOT GO HERE! We made a reservation at 10 am today when the salon opened for a party of 5. We arrived at 10 am and there were already 8 people sitting down. 2 of our party was taken after a 5 minute wait and the rest were made to wait 40 MINUTES! When I asked the front desk after 20 minutes how much longer she told me that I had no technicians reserved for me, even though i made a reservation for 5 people. I got a new full set of gel x nails. I paid 108 with tip and got charged 20$ extra for the most simple design there is. My nails feel flimsy and my nail fell off. AFTER 2 DAYS. I went back today and asked for a repair and asked to not pay considering they we 108$ and should NOT be falling off. It took no more than 5 minutes to fix my nail and they charged me 5 dollars. I am now home and have now noticed another nail has cracked and is bending. Just sloppy job in my opinion. The way that I'm literally obsessed with this place cannot be put into words! I bookmarked this place a couple of weeks ago when I was in Gainesville visiting a friend, and I said the next time I'm here when my nails are old I'm going to definitely get my nails done here lol. Once you actually enter the shop you're immediately greeted and they have you sign in which is I think just their way of getting your contact information so they can send you surveys and stuff, but I honestly didn't mind because you collect points that you can use towards getting your nails done, a pedicure or anything like that. But the woman who greeted me was the sweetest thing ever and when you check into their system you get to select exactly what you want done to your nails as far as the color, design, and even choose the person to do your nails! Which I thought was like next level. I haven't seen that done anywhere else. Upon entering you notice first and foremost that it's a lot bigger on the inside than the outside sort of like a tardis lol! There's like 40 foot ceilings and you have the whole front area which has multiple stations on either side to get your nails done, then in the center area you have multiple stations on either side to get pedicures. They also have an entire wall full of nail polish damn near floor to ceiling. Once you finish checking in and choosing your design, they have you go directly to the back of the salon where there are several sinks set up to wash your hands; when you get back to the front they have you sit at the station to get your nails done. I showed the woman doing my nails exactly what I wanted, she looked at the picture twice and went to work! She was absolutely gentle! I cannot even tell you how many times I've gotten my nails done where my skin has been burned, my cuticles have been pulled too far back, or I'm bleeding. This was the most gentle thorough experience of my life. After about an hour, she looked at the picture again to make sure that your nails matched. Then I was given a massage on my hands up to my elbow. The total came out to about $50 and it was $65 with tip. I will definitely be back. read more

So originally I gave this place 5 stars. I have since been back twice and those experiences were not as good as the first. On the second experience, I had a man. He had me soak my hands in acetone for almost 20 minutes. Then he aggressively filed my nails which caused me to bleed. He also didn't let the gel sit long enough under the light so I had bubbling. I just went again for a pedicure and gel French nails. The pedicure was great. The French gel....is one of the worst French nails I've ever had. The lines are not even, she didn't do square or round just some random style. I'm graduating which is why I got my nails done. Then I guess she did the manicure when I just wanted gel (they will charge you extra for the manicure). Pedicure and French gel was supposed to be $50. Somehow got charged $68 before tip. I guess I'll just find somewhere closer to me to go. I went here to spend less money, but I should have just paid $60 in my area for better quality. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. No wonder there is a 2.5 star rating. I got my last set here and got a fill two days ago. Within 24 hours, the skin around my nails started to blister and flake all around my fingers. I usually do my own nails but wanted to treat myself for my birthday. I came to get them taken off and a refund after I paid $75 (including service and tip). Said I could get $30 back, so I said okay. Afterwards, gave me $20 IN A GIFT CARD. Everyone was very rude except the lady next to me who offered me $20 for the gift card. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. The nail tech who did my nails, David, was extremely rough with my cuticles, even to the point of making me bleed on three fingers. He did not seem to care that he was hurting me and just kept telling me to relax. Two days later and my cuticles are still inflamed and sore. When I asked to speak with the manager to share my concerns so that no one else would have to experience this, I was told she was busy doing nails and that they would write down my complaint. Posting this as a long time customer. The photos with the ring on are the minute I walked out of the salon after I got this gel builder and tips on. It's far from my cuticle and looks like how I would expect my nails to look 5-7 days later. I've even asked friends what day they would think this is and no one has said less than 5. I had been very busy and didn't have time go into the salon because I work 3 jobs. So I went in today (day 8) and asked if there was anything they could do. I was told that I could pay for a fill but that it's not their problem my nails grow fast. Then I asked if they can at least remove them, to which I was told yes, for $15. I said I've been a long time customer and have been going since they opened (and I'm not really sure why because of other reasons I'll get into) but I said I will never go back. I said this costs a lot of money to not love the outcome, to which I was told "it's not expensive". On top of that I had already asked the woman to cut the tips shorter twice during the initial appointment and gave up when she wasn't listening. At one point she actually smacked my hand too because I went to move my hand into the light not realizing she didn't want me to yet. This really was when I gave up on trying to communicate and wanted the appointment to end. A friend recommended Phoenix and I was excited to check them out! I went in and got a cute dip powder manicure. 4 days later one of the nails popped off entirely. They had me come back in and fixed it at no cost. After 4 more days, my polish was chipping and 3 were broken in half. When I called to speak with them about my ($60+) manicure lasting not even a week and a half, I was told I could come in and PAY to have them repaired. I have been a regular here, but wow, if you aren't going to Christina? Good luck getting a decent mani! I went to Phoenix nail bar today, and ended up getting trespassed. Let me tell you how. For my birthday, I decided to get my nails done I don't go out in public much since I'm a survivor of domestic abuse and I suffer from complex PTSD. I find it very hard to communicate and I'm very afraid of conflict, I showed the nail tech, Lee, a photo of the nails I wanted. Additionally, I wanted a French tip underlay on my nails, but Lee couldn't figure out what I meant by "chunky French tip" so then Alina came to finish the job. I can't tell you how different it looked. On the picture, the flowers are quite large, but you can see that the finished product was not. By the time I had seen the tester nail, you know the one that they show you to make sure that you like it, it had already been cured, and I didn't feel like getting them redone as I had already been there for two hours. As I was leaving, I told them that it didn't really look like the photo and Alina erupted. Immediately, she began to argue with me about how it did look like the picture, and it was my direction that had resulted in it looking different. Of course, I had asked for them to put more flowers, because there was only two or three very small ones on each nail, and it looked awkward. I'd like to remind you all, I was just telling them -- I was going to pay. Then, Alina informs me that she will take off the design. Since I didn't really like it, I was completely fine with that. At that point, I asked him to remove all the nails, because after being belittled, by Alina-- who was repeatedly arguing with me that it was the spitting image of the photo... OK-- I did not want to support their business if they can act that unprofessional. Keep in mind, by the time I had finished speaking to Alina, she was very loudly complaining about me to the rest of the salon, and all the workers. I did not want to support them, especially after that. It was at that point that they informed me to take off the work that they had botched, it would be a fee of five dollars for the removal. After being treated so unkindly, I just wanted to leave. It was at that point that the receptionist began to argue with me as well screaming at me how I still had to pay. As I had requested for them to remove all the work, and was more than happy to part ways, I understandably wanted to just leave and never come back. It was at this point, if this could get any worse, that they barred me from leaving. Legally, that is called false imprisonment, and after the service I received today I will be pursuing action. Obviously, I called the police, as their behavior was quite literally illegal. When the cops arrived, they suddenly switched the amount of money, saying that they no longer wanted to remove the nails as I would "accuse them of something" and then informed me that it would actually be $60 for the half finished nails which now had no design nor color. The officer told me what I already knew, which was that this matter was civil, not criminal, and I could not be barred from leaving, nor could I have charges pressed against me for choosing not to pay for incorrect service. Of course, this was after they had called the security guard who also barred me from leaving, and I will be reporting that to his employer. Anyways, I left, but not before they trespassed me. Like... ok. You ate... huh? If you want really shitty nails, this is the place. (I've had manicures flake in less than three days.) If you want really shitty customer service, this is the place. (Read above.) If you don't like your nails, and have an affinity for being argued with, this is the place for you. I have attached a photo of the nails for sheer comedy value. I recommend never coming here, and it's such a shame that they have Christina who is an amazing nail tech. read more

I went in wanting a medium set of square acrylics with regular polish. The woman glued on tips, realized they were crooked, and proceded to rip them off. I just left the shop this morning - I arrived around 10:20a and left around 10:50a. I went in to get my SNS dip taken off (only) and I repeated it multiple times to multiple employees (the white receptionist and the Asian male in the red shirt). The man was the one who helped with my nails. I told him that I had SNS dip on my natural nails and simply wanted the dip taken off. I tell him I don't want them cut or filed, just the dip removed. He says ok and then immediately picks up the nail clippers and attempts to cut one of my natural nails. I pull my hand back and repeat what I had just said - no cutting, just the dip removed. He says ok again (no apology) and says that he didn't think they were my natural nails (even though I had already told him this when I sat down and explained what I wanted). He begins to work and he keeps turning up the machine, which becomes extremely hot on my nails. I asked him if he could turn it down and be more gentle. He doesn't really respond and proceeds to do it how he wants. I pull my hands back again and again ask him to be more gentle. During this, he notices my wedding ring and comments that it is very beautiful. I say thank you and his follow up question is "is it real?" As an African American woman getting a service done by an Asian male, I found his question to be extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked him what would make him think that it wasn't, he just looked at my. I have never been asked that question, at a nail salon or anywhere else, in the 7 years that I have been with my husband. NEVER. At that point, he can see that I am offended and begins to try to make small talk. Throughout the appointment, I have to remind him several more times to be careful and to be gentle with my nails. When he's done, I ask the receptionist if I could speak to the manager. At first she says yes, and as I'm telling her why - that the guy was rough, rude, and unprofessional - she now says that the manager is "just ran out" and that I cannot speak with her but rest assured, my comments will be given to the manager. Terrible service from her, terrible service from him. This is my third time here. Each time, I have a worse experience. The only reason I went to them this morning for my take off is because they were the ONLY salon open this early on a Sunday morning. Please save yourself the time, money (at my last two visits, they always quote one price before they do the nails and it changed every single time once the service was done), and headache and go somewhere else.
