I only put a star on it because had to. I'm so DISGUSTED right now. I bought a dress on the 11th of JANUARY and here it is February 28th and my sister that I ordered for and had shipped to NOT ONlLY didn't make it there but for whatever reason, got shipped back to the store and I've tried to contact them through email, by phone, which went to a voicemail that hasn't been set up yet, through social media with automated messages that was supposed to get back to me within 48 hours THREE DIFFERENT TIMES and NOT ONCE have I got a response back AT ALL!!! I don't understand how it is so easy to make purchases but so hard to contact when there are issues. The event I bought the dress for has long passed and I just want a refund at this point because dealing with black owned businesses is a total waste of time at this point. I'm done!!! read more

The owner's spirit is amazing! She's truly a special woman (I say this as though I personally know her, hehe) But seriously, I love the fashions, but she makes your shopping experience, even more magical. Her warm infectious smile can light any room. I wish her all the best and definitely recommend the clothes and accessories. She offers an array of sizes and styles. She's reasonably priced considering she makes everything right here in good'ole Inglewood. I recommend you become "Philthy" too! read more

Philthy Ragz - "Philthy" shirt and skirt/dress - Accessories Near Me - Inglewood, California

I might as well be on the VIP list because I own at least 20 items from here. I love their fashions - the bold colors and one of a kind pieces. I love that you can dress it up or down. I am complimented every time I wear a PR piece. I make the drive from the Inland Empire every couple of months to see what's new in stock. The staff is always helpful in picking new pieces. One of my greatest moments was when Gaynelle spotted me at a jazz brunch in one of her marathon jumpsuits! Keep those styles a coming! read more

I ordered something, sent an email regarding return and still today Saturday, no response back. But they quick to take ur money, bad bad

**This is not an in-store review** I am picky about clothing. I am tall! Long legs, extra boobs and my thighs just... Clothes are a stretch for me. So when I tell you.... I FINALLY put on this dip it low jumpsuit?! Baby- no listen BAY BEEE that jumpsuit fit me all the way. These pieces have been touched by a woman who knows what body parts to accentuate and which ones need a little smoothing over. My breast were hugged correctly, my waist was slimed and my thighs didn't appear bulky. It hugged me the right way! I appreciate their ability to make me feel so comfortable in this jumpsuit. I love that it is versatile and the material is gorgeous and stretchy. It's a product worthy of investing in. I will be purchasing more from this store. Thank you ladies for designing clothing that fit a body like mine! read more

Wish I could give a lower review, but I'll be content with the 1 star because I like the clothes. The customer service at this black owned business sucks! I finally received my items after almost 7 weeks waiting on them. That is ridiculous!! NO communication at all from the owner. I will never shop this business again. read more

At the last minute, I was looking for an outfit to wear to a wedding. I called inquiring about their shipping time and how soon could I receive the merchandise. The owner was very helpful in assisting me with my color selection and comfort. I spoke with her around 10:30am that morning and I was able to pickup my merchandise that same evening at 6:00pm. I appreciate her great customer service and professionalism. read more

I shopped at this place when it was super tiny and located on Centinela. My friend's wife suggested going here when I was looking for something 'different' in a dress. She knows the owner Gaynelle and mentioned she even alters and/or tweaks items to fit if need be. I was impressed by the unique dresses and skirts with gorgeous prints and textiles. I'd always find something that was "one size", which I don't like. I made a few calls and several appointments with Gaynelle to have dresses and skirts altered. One time, she was a no show. The young lady at the counter called and couldn't get a response either. If I lived around the corner or nearby, it may not have been a problem. I never had those items made. Like another yelper mentioned, I don't play when I shop. I don't go unless I'm ready to spend money. The dresses on average were about $89 and I had 4 and a skirt in my hand during one shopping trip. A few needed to be shortened and one had some loose stitching. Again, I made arrangements meet with Gaynelle. I was asked to come back. Items were held and I made that long drive again! No Gaynelle!! No call! No response! Nothing! Yet, the girls behind the counter were so focused on talking to the younger girls pacing around complaining about the unaffordable prices. I laughed! They bought nothing while my $400+ sale was lost. I considered going back, but can't bring myself to support businesses with poor customer service. Especially when my pockets are right and I'm ready to make a purchase! The name got bigger, shop was moved, and I've seen multiple ladies in the same dresses over the past years. Not to mention I follow on Instagram. I never see responses to ladies' questions. Items posted are rarely available online and too many ladies complain. Sometimes it's best to stay small and make your money. I wish the best, but they have list out on my hundreds-of-dollars in sales. read more

I am big supporter of black owned businesses, but my experience was extremely bad. I understand COVID-19 has effected business, but there is no way it should take a package to be delivered 30 days in the same county. It became personal when I was emailing questions to the owner! The clothes are FABULOUS but I will have to shop elsewhere because the lack of customer service and professionalism! read more

Pass by this place all the time because the name caught my eye. As soon as I entered, I was greeted immediately. That's the determining factor on if I spend my money. Everything I saw was nice including the sale signs-$10,$20,% off. One lady asked if I were looking for anything in particular and I tld her about the things I saw online. She went to the back to find it while another got a dressing room ready for me. Nice customer service. It's a small store so is be offended if I weren't taken care of like all the other reviewers. The icing on the cake was when my items were wrapped In paper and placed in a cute bag. I can't remember the last time my clothes were wrapped. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've always wanted to check out the boutique Philthy Ragz. I finally decided to check it out when I was in need of a nice jumper for a birthday party. I was instantly greeted and provided with a sales associate to show me around. All of the pieces were unique and different. Prices are a little on the "high" side, but I guess that's the price to pay for "different". Clothes are "one size". I was happy to make the cut. The sales associate informed me that any item could be complementary tailored to fit your needs...to make more or less risqué, etc. Due to my conservative nature, I didn't purchase anything, but I was happy to see what all it had to offer. read more

I have been a faithful of Philthy forever! Always great service and fashionable advise. The owner, Gaynelle, is so welcoming, talented and inspiring. You should hear her story. It is like you get a motivational speaker and stylist wrapped into one. Ya know, like the hairdresser that knows all of your business but makes you look pretty anyway? Yeah, like that. Her fashions are like no other from the choice of fabrics, designs, wearability with a whole lot of sass sprinkled throughout. Yaasssss Now that's PHILTHYness for ya! Stop by and see Gay and Dave. Who knows, you run into me wearing Philthy, looking Philthy and purchasing more PHILTHY! Why be nasy when you can be the PHILTHIEST Diva at the party! read more

I've visited the store once while in town and had a great shopping experience. However, it's unfortunate that the website is not updated on a frequent basis as many of the items have been sold out for months. read more

Philthy Ragz clothes are OK. They have a "few" really cute items and the rest of the clothes you can find at any girl clothing store or Delamo swaptmeet. Also i notice many of their items is one size fit all so if you are small like myself you will not like how some of the dresses fit. ***The one thing that really brother me about this store is the male worker who is acting like he is gay and peeking in the dressing rm asking the female customers if they need help or to let him see how they look in the item that they are trying on.**** read more

I always wanted to stop by and see what this boutique has to offer since I was in the area and need a nice dress to wear. The clothes looked a little too big for me. The owners were nice said they could alter anything if need be. I wanted to try on Jeans but no one could get me a dressing room even though they had 2 workers and 2 owners that were more focused on one lady who had some "status"which idk cause that's not my thing.. I'm a business owner during the day I wear sweats to do bank drops and run errands. Customer service is a must for me. Idc if I was butt naked I had 5 gees in my wallet thats my status and now off to melrose read more

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!! This review is on behalf of my best friend who has patronized Philthy Ragz for over 17 years. I am providing this review on my own accord, and not pressured into giving one. I was generous and gave 2 stars because the clothes are cute. She has spent soooooooo much money (undisclosed amount) supporting this BLACK OWNED BUSINESS (B.O.B) because she believes and truly recycles her black dollars and believes in the owner, her dream, her passion for fashion, and her concepts with making EVERY women big or small feel beautiful. Now, don't get me wrong the clothes made and sold are so cute, fun, and flirty, but the CUSTOMER SERVICE (Baaaabbbbyyy) provided over the years, not only by the owner, but her husband and the "employees" are not to be desired!!!!! This is not how you run a business, let alone a successful business (if it is). Who orders online, then picks up their online order in the store, however is refused to have their prepaid shipping refunded, but she didn't let that bother her, she continued to support the B.O.B. If that doesn't catch your attention, I have a part 2 for you. My dear friend ordered an outfit, prepaid, and it took literally 3.5 months for the outfit to arrived. Now mind you, the outfit was NOT a Philthy Ragz orignal, it was actually a downtown special. When the outfit FINALLY arrived, it was not the original order that was placed. There was no discounts offered (was not needed), there was no REAL apology given (was needed), however, my friend being a patient and generous person, she still continued to support the store. I will not go into detail on WHY I believe it took so long, I will hold that closed in the bag. The part 2 incident has happened time and time and time again. For example, she is told her outfit will be ready on a Wednesday, only to arrive and then told the outfit is not ready, come back next Tuesday. I think you get the point and knows what happened when she went back the following Tuesday, that is why it would take so long to FINALLY get an outfit. Question, why doesn't the Left hand communicate with the right hand? Why are only excuses offered when an issue arises, and the excuses are given to the customer? I am surprised she is still in business, and glad she is still in business, however her business needs some reconstructing. So if you had this experience, you know what I am talking about. If you haven't had any of these experiences, please go in with an open mind and experience for yourself. I am not trying to tear my black people down, I am just making my black people aware of what they may be up against supporting this store. Its called EACH one TEACH one. All love.....Peace! read more

Beautiful boutique! Owner is very personable and professional. If you're looking for chic and eccentric, one of a kind designs, this is the boutique for you! read more

The company needs to improve the shipping and communication. The companies details on the qwbsite is pure TRASH......its sad too as the owner has beautiful product and wears well. But she should change her shipping details as ITEMS ARE MADE TO ORDER. Then ahipping detaila should follow as 5-6wks deliver as items are CUSTOM MADE. She has detaila on her site as 14-21 days during COVID. But the shippibg was trash before that. Then when you call the store she gets on the phone and decides that she wants to explain her side of a story for her half ass company shipping. But she has to know that I didn't give two fucks on what she was saying. I just wanna know where my merchandise and when is it shipping? I WILL NO LONGER BE SPENDING MY MONEY AT THIS POINT. She shouldn't be surprised if he Better Business Bureau reaches out to her soon. I may have or may not have said something or reported something........ read more

My reason for visiting was very simple - it was regarding an item of clothing I saw on their Instagram Page that I had to have. I entered the store in an optimistic and upbeat mood, looking forward to the prospect of having a look around the store as I had intentionally traveled the extra distance as I know it is regarded one of the best clothing stores in Inglewood. It is wonderfully decorated, amazing interior design and an unbelievable range of unique pieces. This made me even more excited to shop here.... HOWEVER The music was blaring, two young ladies were behind the counter engulfed in child-like chatter and not a pause to Welcome my Money into this establishment. I continued on and browsed the store for approximately 15 mins and still No ONE asked if I needed any assistance. As I exited the store, one of the young ladies did finally say something to me which was "please don't let the door slam." Really?! Perception is reality until reality shows you different!!! read more

Philthy Ragz -They know me when I come in, they make me look fabulous and I never have to worry about seeing myself when I go out. I can still look fierce and have money in my pocket. Thanks to G. White for sharing the vision! read more

I think since they've moved location they've made a lot of changes for the better. I always see the same 2 girls when I go because I go around the same time/days. They are both extremely helpful and so sweet. All of the clothes are edgy/fun.They have great accessories but I wish they carried more. I bought 5 pairs of earrings one day. I love the clothing but they tend to cater to one type of style. Additionally, a lot of the dresses are jersey and I don't love jersey. However they always have a lot of cute stuff. I just wish they could be more versatile and cater to more styles. I am also not a fan of the website. I am a huge online shopper and it is never up to date. Things are either sold out and the items are limited. Also, don't go when they open. A couple of times I've done that and they opened almost a half hour late. read more

I had a great shopping experience shopping at Philthy Ragz. I wore my Philthy Ragz tank top during FASHION NIGHT OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS and got stopped and asked where did you buy your tee. I was so excited to represent for the local owned boutique that everyone who stopped me were high end fashion shoppers of Beverly Hills. :-) Owwww! Check me out on the red carpet with my burnout Philthy Ragz tank top! read more

I'm really big on supporting black owned business and will spend the money with no problem however, the customer service is horrible. Each time it's poor customer service. If your going to have meetings during store hours please have it in a personal office. If you need to vacuum the floor with carpet fragrance please get it up STAT. That ish killed my soul. Oh and please fix your cash register STAT. Walking to an ATM to retrieve cash for a purchase is tacky as heck. Please keep relationship drama under raps. A customer should not see y'all arguing amongst each other inside a place of business. Unfortunately y'all lost a loyal customer. Good luck! read more

Do not shop here.... The worse customer service ever. These people have no idea of the meaning customer service. I emailed an associate in order for her to forward to the owner in order to get a dress made 2 months before needed and no response from anyone. I visited this place not too long ago,in search of an off the shoulder shirt for a little outting I was going on.All in all, they have cute, creative clothes here HOWEVER,it is way too small and I kind of felt pressured into buying something, which is when I had to use the famous,"I'm gonna try this other place I know and if they don't have it,I will be back"... Oh yea...the parking sucks!!! read more

Unique clothing, unprofessional environment. There is one young lady that always seems to be consistent with her professionalism and has more common sense than the owner. Actually witnessed the owner talking about a customer that did not purchase anything....what adult does that? Whether window shopping or buying everyone is entitled to respect...needless and very sad to say the rumors/reviews are pretty accurate....don't waste your time/energy. There are other african american businesses out there and in that area like....New Style Web, Gaudy Garbs, Hanging Artistry...etc... that has some of the same items for less, great customer service and you actually feel good about your purchase. read more

I follow Philthy Ragz on IG and decided to take a trip to their store since I live in LA. It's easy to get to and there's parking which is a plus. I saw a lot of things that I liked that were modeled on IG and the prices are reasonable too. The owner seemed to be nice and helpful to customers and there was a gentleman there helping customers also who seemed nice. I bought some things and I have friends from out of town that like the clothing too so a repeat trip is definitely in my future. The downfall is the cashiers, who don't have the most pleasant disposition and crammed my gear into a tight gift bag. The store sells tees with the company name and I think it would be a nice touch to get decent shopping bags too. read more

If you are looking for something sexy, chic, unique and grown then this is the store for you. They know how to make a lady feel sexy, you are sure to stand out and no one would look like you. They can be a bit on the pricey side and the quality of the clothes for the price is not fitting. I find more defects in there clothing then I do at a cheap store like forever 21 or H&M. Inspect your clothes for holes or defects. read more

I'm still wearing items I've purchased here from years ago. I luv the styles because they are so unique. This is a place to check out.

My girl Gaynelle is one of the BEST designers in the business!!! VERY unique items and great crew and customer service. Love them!

Have always driven by this place. Today I actually stopped and went in. I'm always looking for unique pieces and I certainly found a few here. The employees were sure nice and attentive. I ended up spending way more than I anticipated but I bought a few different "sets". Therefore, in the long run I'll be able to mix and match different tops and bottoms with other items I already have at home. That alone is well worth the prices. An add bonus is if you buy an article of clothing that is too big or small, they will alter it for you, free. I bought a skirt with a tub top . Skirt was too long and the top a bit loose. Both were altered in a matter of minutes. They get new inventory every week so I will certainly be back!!! read more

This place is amazing! I have been coming here regularly for the last few years. The owners, Gaynelle and Dave (a husband and wife team) are some the warmest people I know and Gaynelle's spirit is amazing! The store has cute, eclectic boutique finds that won't break your wallet and TONS of original designs...that even Hollywood is getting hip to ;o) A nice chunk of my closet is filled with Philthy Ragz finds and each piece receives more compliments than the last. Gaynelle and Dave never pressure you to buy and allow you to move freely, as they're big on allowing women to develop and love their own unique style, but if you're lost honey they will guide you! For any occasion, Gaynelle can help you put together an entire look or give you that finishing touch that'll put the POW in your look. They have the ability to make each and very guest feel like family with the personal attention they give and it's hard to walk out of that place without a new friend or two. Finally, her fashion shows, sip n' shops and other events are always off the chain! I honestly don't know how she does it! Between making half of the clothing in the store HERSELF, making herself available to her clients and putting these events together...*whew* I'm just tired thinking about it! Horrible I will never buy from this place ever again. I bought a item from them decided the color was to dark for me so I wanted to exchange it for the lighter one. Mistake #1. I emailed them my request (as told to by website) surprise surprise no response. So I emailed them again once again no response. So now I decide to call them. I get a girl who tells me I have to talk to the online dept. who now is not there. So I called back the next day I was told they are having a store meeting and will get back to me in 1hr. Well unsurprisingly they never called back. I call again the next day and spoke with Cheyenne who is the online dept. rep. I explained my dilemma, she tells me to send her a pic of the color I ordered. (Face palm) WHY? Shouldn't you know what products you sell you only have one dark peach skirt! So I proceed to send her the pic, and hey what do you know no response. So I call back again (this is now the 4th phone call in 4 days). I'm guessing I'm speaking to the owner since no one believes in stating their name when you call. She tells me to send the skirt back and she will give me store credit. Uh no I asked for it to be exchanged for a lighter color. She tells me she doesn't know if she would be making that color again it's a hit or miss on if she can find the fabric. WTF! So now I'm out $67 after shipping AND you want me to pay for it to get sent back with no refund?! Uh I don't think so! Philthy ragz needs to get it together! And work on how to run a better business and online dept. For the amount you charge for your clothes you better step the game real high up on customer service. Plus they only give you 7days from when you receive it to send it back and you spend about 6 1/2 days trying to get ahold of them. read more
