My husband and I had Phil completely demo our existing kitchen and do a full remodel, and in case the after photos don't speak for themselves, Phil did beyond an amazing job!! From day one, Phil had clear and professional communication and everything he told us was spot on as far as what to expect, timeline, price, process, etc. He and Angel worked tirelessly every day arriving at 7am past 5pm to get the job done before he said he would. They were even here on Saturdays and Sundays. The quality of wattention to detail is unreal- there is not an uneven surface or crooked line in our new kitchen, which is saying a lot as our house was built in 1957, and pretty much EVERYTHING was not level in the original kitchen. Every single thing is perfect and even better than what we envisioned. They really took the time to make sure we were happy every step of the way. As far as pricing goes, this was another thing we were extremely appreciative of. Phil's price was not only more than fair, but there were no surprises along the way (We did a project with Lowe's in the past and this was NOT the case!!). He put together a thoughtful proposal at his first visit and we did not pay a dollar more once the kitchen was complete. I would recommend Phil to absolutely anyone without hesitation for their remodel or any project you may have. He and Angel were both a pleasure to work with and we can't wait to have them back to remodel our bathroom. Thank you Phil for taking the time and dedicating your efforts to make sure we love our new kitchen, we appreciate all your hard work beyond measure. Also, Phil had a wonderful painter Jose who pained the whole interior of our home in a day & it is perfect! I would definitely recommend him for any painting job you may have as well! Again, great pricing and service! read more

Phil's handy service replaced a cracked drain pipe in my master bath shower. I was told by three different plumbing companies that removal of the tile and stone in my shower would be necessary to replace the cracked drain pipe with the cost of about $7000. Phil replaced the cracked drain pipe without removing all the tile and stone. He removed four tiles and a drain. Replaced the cracked drain pipe, the same four tiles and a new drain and my shower is perfect.AMAZING! All at a cost less than half of the other companies. He is skilled, professional, helpful, reasonable. He works hard to complete the job with outstanding results.THANK YOU! read more

$579.20 for a 2ft by 2ft drywall patch. You read that right. That was $100 over the estimate. I paid for it after it was scheduled and approved by a third party. This was a rip-off taking advantage of an out-of-town owner. Shady as can be. I've had outpaitient surgery for less money. read more

What a great job Phil and Fausto did on our bathroom! We cannot be more thrilled! The job was done in a timely manner and our home was left neat and clean after. We highly recommend using Phil and will definitely be using him in the future. read more

Phil's Handy Service - a bathroom with a walk in shower - Handyman Near Me - Tampa, Florida

I had the pleasure of interacting with Phil's Handy Service this past week. I wanted my front door replaced with a used door that had been donated to me (helpful to those of us on a tight budget!). Poor Phil had to put his thinking cap on because the new used door was a bit bigger than the old door. However, Phil successfully mastered the door exchange and I was thrilled. Johnny accompanied Phil and worked on my "cat coop" and replaced the toilet in my bathroom while Phil fought with the front door. Both were friendly, very courteous and did a great job for a reasonable rate. I would highly recommend them! Tracey P. read more

Phil's Handy Service - Handyman Near Me - Tampa, Florida

I originally thought I needed to replace my door to get it to open and shut properly, but when I was advised of the price by Phil for a new door, I was not willing to invest what it was going to cost. However, seeking to provide me service in lieu of a new door, Phil offered to get the door working so it would open and shut with little to no friction. And that he did. When he completed the job, I was so satisfied I will go on record to say that I would recommend Phil's Handy Service to complete any household job in a superb and timely manner. Cost of Phil's service - $450. Cost of a new door - over $3000. read more

Phil is the greatest at everything--and he cab do everything (but he won't paint :). I have known him for 12 years and would use no one else. He is prompt, very fun and professional. Please use him! read more

Wanting quality, professional service...choose Phil's..after reading his Yelp reviews, I decided to go with Phil. I had major water damage to my ceiling that that was in a 15 foot stairwell landing. That height didn't stop Phil from coming up with an idea to repair the ceiling. He caged in the area so that he could reach the ceiling, Brillant!! Next, him and his helper took down my Chandelier that weighed a ton so that they could drywall that area, as they took down the chandelier, they noticed it was improperly installed and said they would do it correctly for me, score!! They took their time drywalling and plastering to make sure that it was ready for the painters. At no point did they ever Rush, make excuses or even take a lunch break they were just concerned about getting the job done and doing it right! After every point, they would have me come and look for my approval. They did not cut corners and chose the best supplies to finish my home (including, insulation) I definitely will be choosing Phil's Handy service in the future. I already have him lined up to install a retractable ladder to my attic in which he suggested because it was very hard for my husband and I to reach. Please, please, choose Phil Handy Service for you will not be disappointed. Trust me, I am a very picky, meticulous person and I was not disappointed!!! read more

Very disappointed. Phil responded quickly to my service request on line but arrived 20 minutes late and did not bring a ladder even though the work I requested was to repair our second floor windows. He showed up, said he doesn't have a ladder, and just left! read more

This guy is remarkable. He quoted a price over the phone and stuck to it despite some complications that made the job take longer. He didn't show up on time, he was early. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why it should be done a particular way. We'll use him again. read more

Excellent service and prompt response. I needed to re-hang an exterior door that had been badly damaged and could not close. Phil recognized the significance of my situation and adjusted his schedule to attend to my issue, within 20 minutes of my request for services. He gave a very fair rate, especially for a holiday and an "emergency" situation. His technical skill and knowledge were exceptional and his rates very reasonable. I highly recommend his services and will definitely use his handyman and repair services again. BNewbill read more

How nice to have a licensed contractor who also believes no job is too small. Seriously. This is the only guy you need. Phil came to fix a rotting wooden fence, change a high ceiling shower light and mount some hardware on my stucco house exterior walls. Everything was done quickly, professionally, cleanly, with the right tools and to my utmost satisfaction. Price is competitive with others, but with a higher level of quality. It was a relief for me to find Phil. I am already keeping a list of things for the next time I call him! And, when a bigger project comes up, I am happy to know I will be able to rely on Phil for that, too. read more

Phil was very capable in handling two different jobs at our home - fixing a valve in the bathtub and repair two light sockets in the kitchen. The jobs were finished quickly and with zero mess afterwords. Phil was on time and provided excellent service. Would definitely use again. read more

We are so happy that we have finally found someone who not only knows what he's doing, but preps the work area before he starts and cleans up afterwards. Phil is friendly and showed up 5 minutes earlier than he said he would. He also does not smoke! So not only does your house not smell like smoke when he's here, your property will not be littered with cigarette butts (I've lost count as to the number of times I've experienced this). Phil came out to price a list of jobs I had for him (everything from re-installing a toilet paper holder that kept falling off the wall, to a tile backsplash in a kitchen) and said that he would have my estimate to me in a day or two. I actually had it 2 hrs. later. He is reasonably priced and goes the extra mile. We had him hang an antique telephone that belonged to my husband's grandfather and not only did he hang the phone, he also put some pieces back on it, that had been taken apart and we couldn't seem to do ourselves. We will definitely be using Phil's Handy Service again! read more

Phil came out and did a great job. Patched a hole in the ceiling from a roof leak and did a great job. Even painted the area to save us the hassle of getting a painter. Would definitely recommend. read more

Reached out to him and was given a quote and start date. We had been exchanging emails in regards to details, one of which was the start time. I requested a later start time 9:30 am because I work late and we have a my wife had been ill. He never responded otherwise. I did not go into my office because I expected him. I also Have family coming into town which now I cant accommodate. When I called him which I waited til noon because I figured he was getting materials, he simply said "We start at 7:30am, He was rude and dismissive. He also kept talking over me, down to me, simply mean... essentially then just hung up! No thank you...Keep Looking! read more

Phil was early and completed the job of installing a pulley system in our garage for our kayak. It was not easy but he got the job done. Phil was responsive, easy to work with, equipped with every tool he needed and friendly too. We are so glad to have found Phil, a reliable and capable handyman. We liked that he is focused on homes and not commercial jobs. We are very pleased and we will be using him for another job very soon. We would definitely recommend him. read more

Phil is awesome! He takes great pride in his work and in his reputation. He came prepared, there were no surprises and no hidden costs. I have used Phil on several occasions. He was always on time and ready to work. There isn't any challenge that he cant take on and fix. Phil helped me with a large area shower floor not draining. He re-tiled it, I was skeptical that it wouldn't drain properly, but as he stated, it worked perfectly. The service was completed quickly and at a reasonable cost. read more
