Phil Gillette is a professional drummer and music teacher. He provides lessons for people of all abilities and ages, and has 15 years of experience teaching and playing drums and percussion. Phil is a fun teacher who will help you work towards your personal goals while exposing you to new things! He usually teaches from his home studio where he has everything needed for lessons, including an electric bass setup for play-along with students!

Phil Gillette is a versatile drummer and percussionist, with experience playing a wide variety of instruments and styles of music. Phil has had the opportunity to perform with such jazz greats as Jimmy and Tootie Heath, Steve Davis, Cyrus Chestnut, Yotam Silberstein, John Lee, Maria Schneider and Donny McCaslin, Danilo Perez, John Fedchock, Antonio Hart, Michael Mossman, Mulgrew Miller, Carmen Bradford, Kevin Mahogany, Rich Perry, Vincent Herring, The New York Voices, Rhoda Scott, and others. He has a BM from the U. of North Florida and a Masters of Music Performance from William Paterson U., and has performed as such venues as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center/Dizzy's Club Coca, The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, and more.
