His coworker said sorry to me and that he just had surgery... which I felt no empathy for since he wanted to treat me like I was ghetto trash off the street. Ace lost out on over $200 worth of product. I get it, no one wants to work in 2026... but I happened to be working and you made my work day so difficult. But Home Depot profited even more money. I pray this ace hardware location closes down. If you had surgery the day prior and you know you already give piss poor customer service as it is; maybe you should have stayed home.

I'll never shop there again and I will never encourage anyone else. They are the absolute worst. Don't waste your time there. Go somewhere else where employees aren't allowed to take YOUR CART and lie to you. Worst mistreatment in a store I've ever seen. They suck eggs. Don't give them any of your money

J and I went today, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's a gift shop-hardware store hybrid, so that amongst pest control, heavy duty cleaners, and drill bits, you'll find scented candles and gourmet consumables. We had just come from AuburnArt.com, The Villager, and Whapsody, so we were all candled-out, but we ended up buying Wickles and Not Yo' Mama's hot sauce. I only had minimal interaction with the cashier, but he seemed like a nice guy. This is all good stuff since my last local hardware store experience was less that stellar [cough cough, Five Points Hardware in Birmingham]. Now I can say I've purchased hot sauce at a hardware store. Love.
