I am a 77 year-old female. I had very painful ingrown toenails on the big toes on both my feet but…read morewas concerned about getting surgery. I was afraid that the surgery would be very painful, but finally realized the pain from the ingrown nails was getting worse anyway and decided to check out the local podiatrists. My husband and I had just moved into the area, and I looked up information on all the podiatrists within half an hour or so of our new Saratoga Springs home. When I decided on and met Dr. Bowerbank in Lehi, I found him to be kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained everything very well, and after talking with him, my husband and I went home to consider the possibility of surgery. As the pain continued to get worse in the next few weeks, I decided to set up another appointment. My husband and I had a few final questions, but after Dr. Bowerbank answered them to our satisfaction, I said, "Let's do it!" So he did. The surgery itself surprised me. There was very little pain, though he cut off a small area on the side of each toenail that was affected, including the nail bed, explaining things and answering questions as he proceeded. Things went really well, and I walked out of the office, pain-free and with instructions for the next two weeks, including setting up a follow-up appointment. I'm writing this review the day after the surgery, and I'm still amazed at how well I'm feeling.

Dr. Bowerbank is the best! He is the most kind and knowledgeable doctor I have been to. I would…read morerecommend him to anybody.

This was my first visit to this office and Dr. Christiansen. Unfortunately due to a wide variety of…read morehealth concerns this year, I have been to several different physicians and I have to say Dr. Christiansen is one of my new favorite doctors. I didn't have to wait forever to be seen. He took a lot of time answering all of my many questions/concerns. He was very patient, thorough and kind. One of my concerns was whether or not I needed new orthotics since mine are very old and he could have totally said that I did (insurance doesn't pay for them) but he didn't!! SO he is honest as well. I have plantar facsciitis and knew that I was probably going to need a cortizone shot in my foot but I REALLY didn't want one as they hurt like crazy!! But Dr. Christiansen let me decide (he wasn't pushy) AND it didn't hurt as bad as previous shots from past podiatrists. A lot of doctors could learn a thing or two from him! Kathy Cordner

Doctor Christiansen is more about the money than the patient. Beware this provider…read more As a small business owner my insurance is crazy expensive and not that good so my family is self pay. My wife has been to see Doctor Christiansen 3 times with no results. She just called in to see if she should just pay the $3-400 to get an MRI at this point and rather than give any good advice the Doctor instructed the nurse to set up yet another $150-200 appointment so he could get paid for the 5 minute conversation. I get this is how they maximize their income with how our system is set up but I have an aversion to being taken advantage of and i know there are people like me out there. So hopefully the few minutes I've taken to warn you will save someone a headache with a provider that sees you more as a recurring revenue source than as a patient. Good luck.

I have had extensive experiences with a variety of medical providers due to my complex conditions…read more Out of 30+ doctors I have interacted with. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a provider, even with an advocate in the room with me. He was rude, condescending, and ignored my medical history MULTIPLE times. Continued to talk over me and the advocate, even despite doing our best to remain calm and communicate clearly. Deliberately avoided eye contact, and was extremely dismissive when I tried to convey that I am medically complex. He then brushed it off and said to "keep my soul young". Used iodine to clean the area, prior to an injection, which I have a life-threatening allergy to. My advocate stepped in immediately, and he shrugged it off saying that he just didn't want an infection. Anaphylaxis would have been just as bad, if not worse. Came here for help, absolutely horrific, exhausting experience. No help whatsoever. if you are young, disabled, or managing multiple conditions, seek care elsewhere. Truly a terrible experience. Will be seeking out care from a different provider, and I hope this doctor hits every red light ever and has the life he deserves.
