The electronic pump screen indicated to see the clerk for assistance, or to wait. I checked with the clerk who was particularly unhelpful. I appears when the system updates, it shuts down all processes related to fuel. The clerk was unable to explain why the system was updating during a weekday morning instead of late at night and really was not interested in speaking with anyone as he turned away and started stocking the cigarette shelves.
