I been going there over 10 years.I'm from London and when I say trust me I tried like 10 barber shops before this all over LA and no 1 could cut hair.I use to come on vacation and always use this spot then I moved over here and I will only get my cut here.It's a good atmosphere very family friendly and all those other comments I read seems like lies because I've never been treated with any attitude from any of the barbers and neither have I ever smelt any weed or seen or smelt alcohol.U want a fresh cut and fade don't b a fool and choose some other shop where they f up ur hair!! read more

No disrespect but the first time I went there in the afternoon was fantastic. The guy who cut my hair was very very nice and took his time cutting my hair. I swore to myself that I would definitely revisit the shop. THEN, yesterday I show up and there was one barber at 10:15am with one customer in the chair getting his hair cut and a man and his son waiting. I figured I'd wait since it looked like the guy on the chair was almost done. 30 minutes later the young boy sits on the chair and 3 new customers come in. Pretty young guys, same age as the barber. They sit. Then 2 young barbers come in and immediately usher the 2 guys who came after me and who had waited all of 2 minutes. I got up and asked the original barber why they got expedited service and if there was any kind of sign in sheet and he said "Maybe they had an appointment." I told them all with a loud enough voice that this was messed up. Already waiting over 30 minutes and I have to wait more time? I walked out and vowed never to return OR to refer anyone to this business. (The way the guys were talking with the barber you just knew they were good friends so got them to the front of the line.) read more

Stay the HELL AWAY FROM THIS JOiNT! Where do I begin? Let's see. They didn't have any licenses posted. When asked about it, they couldn't provide them. Went I asked for a different cut for each son of mine and they couldn't get them right. They totally screwed them up. One dude did better than the other little guy. But he was high as a kite. It took me a while to notice it. But then the odor hit me. I didn't leave because they had already started and it was late Sunday night and the kids had school. I asked for the other one to have I hair cut from the top, good luck. These guys have absolutely no idea how to cut hair. They can only buzz cut and don't even have true Barber tools. Their clothes were filled with hair and they kept trying to remove it. If it wasn't because I had my little kids with me, I would've left. But I didn't trust the dudes. Shifty. Shady! And no skills! If you go here and read this, yet still stay.... You deserve it and are insane. They are one trick ponies and have the freaking nerve to charge $15! Oh hell nah! I left no tip, but will say this.... My 12 year old son went here to get a haircut and got his neck all scratched up with the clippers by a moron who doesn't know what he's doing. The first guy spent 45 minutes and couldn't get the fade right and keep digging the hot clippers into his neck. The next guy took another 30 minutes trying to repair what the other guy did. 1/6/18 - Went in with my dad to get him a haircut. P-Nut hooked him up with a fresh cut and shave on the sides, beard shave, eyebrows trim, and nose hair trim. My old man looks like a new man, which he appreciates so much since he now has nerve damage and is now a bit handicapped. Amazing how a simple cut by good people can make a man feel happy again. Man these guys just don't care about doing good business. First, they're always high or smelling like weed or they drink there. They also have a very bad customer service. One of the times I visit them there was no customers and none of them wanted to cut my hair except the guy that you can see tries (but his work is not that good) And to top it all one time a guy came in and punched one of the barbers in the face causing a scene. They Have Great Cuts And they Make me Feel Very Comfortable while I'm getting a Haircut Barbers are Really Cool

I've been to plenty of barber shops in the south gate and Lynwood area. This place really is one of the better shops. All the barbers know what they're doing and sometimes give suggestions on what they can do to make your haircut better. They do take their time and a haircut will take about 20-30 minutes. If you find a barber that you like and get along with then you can get his number and call him for appointments. They usually are busy heading into the weekend but they are quick and it's not always a long wait. I definitely recommend this shop for anyone looking for a new barber. read more

The hair cuts are actually good to great.. but their customer service and attitude is horrible. I've been there twice and both times I've been waiting on the couches for my turn... as there is no sign in sheet to keep an orderly and fair line.. and the barbers friends come in and they get to cut in front of all the people already there!!! WTF!! I know they are friends cuz they greet each other by name. Waited for 40 minutes just to get line cut by their friends.. so unprofessional. The barbers are talented and give a great hair cut but the customer service is fucking horrible. A simple sign in sheet would solve a lot of customer service problems. Talking about women and having sexual intercourse while a child is in the room. This place has no right being a legitimate business. I drive by on a weekly basis. Great appearance and decided to try them out. First time, service was great and impressed. Went back second and third time, service was unacceptable. Second time I waited and seemed invisible to the 3 barbers for an hour until one of them, that had nothing to do for about 10 minutes asked if I wanted a cut. . . Come on really? So no argument, but barber did a great job. Wanted to become a loyal customer, I returned for a third time. I had waked in, one barber was available and had a customer. He tells me that he has his last customer. Really? I Arrived around the same time as before. Walked across the street to another barber shop. When I walked past Phat Cuts, since I had parked almost in front of them. . . Same barber had new customer and 2 customers sitting waiting for service.
