Pharmacie Anglaise - Very rude female employee with NO name tag who refused me my PREPAID urgent medicine

I have been devoted to Pharmacie Anglais for many years. Their prices may sometimes be a euro or…read moretwo higher (or lower) than that famous pharmacie on Rue Bonaparte. It's not a huge place, but they seemingly have everything and they are dedicated to helping you tap into what makes your skin happy. Hopefully Lucie is there when you go. If she is, she'll ask you what kind of climate you live in. How much are you in the sun? Do you exfoliate? I never feel like I'm being sold, more like I'm discovering the products that work for me, for my budget and for my lifestyle. Even when it's crowded, it doesn't feel like an Olympic event to get to the cash registers. And they open early and close late every day of the week. Looking for the cult favorites? They have them, just not a whole wall of them. Ditto shiny tubes of Marvis toothpaste, Bioderma in every form, bronzer, argon oil, cosmetics, body care products, Nuxe, Caudalie, etc. etc. They run insane specials that make you want to stock up, not that I would buy 6 hand creams at one time. Nope, not me. If you're wanting to post a haul video on YouTube, you already know where you want to go. If you're after quality advice and personal attention, Pharmacie Anglais will make you, and your skin, very happy.

This pharmacy used to be my go to place however when I went to pick up an urgent migraine…read moresubscription that had been PAID in advance Friday night the short, dark haired female with NO name tag in the khaki and green top refused it VERY RUDELY and told the other staff NOT to look for the VERY EXPENSIVE and PREPAID medicine under my name!! She was horrible and rude!!! There is a much better and professional pharmacy in Le Drugstore just up the Champs Elysee near the Arc.

With a name like Pharmacie Européenne, I would presume this Pharmacy is somewhere everyone can go…read morewhile in Paris, and have less of a struggle with the language barrier, being a french speaker myself on a basic level I relied on the chemist's knowledge of english as I certainly don't know how to say paracetamol, sun tan lotion or European charger plug in french! I called in here mainly to pick up some sun-tan lotion while in Paris, having forgot to pack some, the staff spoken poor english and didn't understand that I asked about other products they had, as she seemed just to be picking up expensive ones. I also was upset that my server was recommending items to me, without knowing the prices, having to scan them all, which shows a lack of knowledge about the product and more trying to effectively scam me into buying what was the most expensive, with no price tags on shelves. This Pharmacy also felt weird to me, and different to what I'm used to in Britain, which are normally smaller with a huge back room where they fill in your prescriptions. This is in a decent, central location fairly close to Champs-Elysee, perhaps a 5 or 10 minute walk, but still the staff seem to not know about there own products, and be out there to get money and nothing else, not to help the customer, this is one of the things I despise in a business so feel this Pharmacy deserves a single one star.

Whatever you do DO NOT go to this pharmacy. I popped in to pick up toothpaste, travel size shampoo…read moreand conditioner, deodorant and mouthwash. Those few items cost €100! That's not a typo ...ONE HUNDRED EUROS. Don't go there.
