PH Barron Welding is regarded as one of the oldest welding shops in the United States. Established in 1842, PH Barron Welding began by providing blacksmith and carriage repair to the Easton, PA area. Brothers, Phillip and George Barron acquired the shop in 1895 after the death of their father and original owner, Charles Barron. The company remained in the family name until it was sold in 1969 to family friend, John Meyer. Gregg Meyer, son of John Meyer, is the current successor of the company. The shop's location originated within the historic district in the city of Easton. Moving from Chestnut Hill to along the Bushkill Creek, then later to 7th & Northampton St where the shop resided for 50 years, PH Barron Welding established itself as the premier welding shop for the Lehigh Valley Area. Having since relocated to a larger facility located on Tatamy Rd, PH Barron Welding's services extend to fulfill a greater demand; as well as continuing a tradition of quality and excellence.
