The hills are alive .. with the Sound of Music…read more For those of you who don't know .. this was the church where the wedding scene took place in that famous film. Fans of the movie go nuts when the see this place. For others, it's just a nice, quaint little church in a small town not too far from Salzburg. The town of Mondsee as a whole is a very small place that will likely please tourists who enjoy picturesque sightseeing trips. The church itself is rather beautiful, much like many other churches and cathedrals in Europe. I do think that fans of the film should make an effort to stop by here .. but others who are looking for a nice, picturesque little European town to take in will also enjoy the experience.

This is yet another the beautiful old church in Europe, but the one where Maria and Captain Von Trapp get married...yay! And how often do you see a pink church interior? Free, and they also give out samples of Holy Water. You should probably leave some sort of donation though.
