I don't think you will find a more caring, personable, and reasonably priced animal hospital…read more The staff here really make you feel welcome. They get to know you and your pet so they can greet you by first name when you walk in the door. Dr.Y's combination of trusted medical experience and realistic understand makes pet care easy. You'll never have to question the medical treatment of your pet. But if you do have questions or don't understand something, they staff is more than happy to go over it so we're all on the same page- which is very important to me. Oh! Not to mention they will be happy to give you a tour if ya ask! The hospital is clean and bright. The towels that they use are always fresh and smell good. What's really cool is that they have windows to the back exam room so you can see everything they do when they take your animal to the back ( to draw blood or something). As a pet owner, it can be scary when they take your dog or cat to the back room. Even scarier when you can hear them yelp or cry :(. But Dr.Y and her staff are really gentle and you can see the entire process! Love this place!

My dog's kidney levels are off (which I paid out the ass for the bloodwork). I was there on September 14th, and they didn't get back to me with a prescription til the 5th of October. I tried ordering the proper food off Amazon, which they need vet approval, and time went by, and I got denied for the food to help with her kidney's, due to their negligence of not responding. It's ludicrous cuz they are the ones who told me to put my dog on a special diet in the first place! So I'm watching my dog's health declining, while the vet doesn't respond to ANYTHING, and they just sit on their ass and collect ridiculous money! I don't know why my friend suggested this vet to begin with, but I'm pissed beyond belief! I also got a supplement to possibly help, which I emailed them about, to see if I could give it to my dog, and I still have yet to hear from them. The also charged me $25 to get her nails cut, which they didn't tell me the price til after the fact! Absolutely ridiculous! I'll go to Petco next time, cuz they are $10 cheaper. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!!! They don't give two shits about your pet, and they only care about the money!!! I'm definitely seeking out another vet ASAP!!!

Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Now they are just stuck with us. As always, a great experience and we love being able to travel without any worries.

Vet techs (really good ones) were present overnight and a vet was on call from midnight until opening, but it would be more reassuring to have a vet there at night as well -- especially at the high price point. We brought our cat here for a urinary blockage. Triage was great, and he was seen promptly. The vet who examined him explained the need to keep him for 48-hours for treatment. During that time, they were always ready to speak with us on the phone for updates, and called us 2x daily with updates. He's home and healed, so that's worth a few stars!

By the time we arrived at Pet ER, there was nothing they could do to save our precious Mickey. Indeed, he passed somewhere during our frantic drive, between our house and their facility. The care and compassion that shown to us by the Pet ER of Columbia staff in immediately bringing us to an examination room and verifying that he was beyond saving was the best care one could ask for. Above that, the staff's offer to allow us time to say goodbye to our beloved family member, in our shock and grief, despite a busy waiting room filled with other customers was as much medicine for my wife and I in our shock and grief, as any pills. The Pet ER of Columbia staff displayed tremendous care and understanding in advising us regarding Mickey's final arrangements and then later when we collected his ashes. Already impressed by their professionalism and care, we were surprised and touched when unexpectedly, two weeks after Mickey's passing, we received a condolence card in the mail, hand signed by each of their staff. We did not get the opportunity to experience Pet ER of Columbia's veterinary services. If the compassionate, consideration for us as owners is any indication of the care they show for our furry family members, then I have no doubt that this review would be a glowing endorsement. What I can say, is that their staff provided the best, and most compassionate care to grieving pet owners that I have ever received. For that, I recommend them. If and when we decide to invite another animal into our lives, we plan to trust Pet ER of Columbia with their care. ,

Honestly, we were hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews, but we decided to take the chance....and we're so glad we did. We had the privilege of meeting Dr. Gizachew Kifle, and it was one of the best experiences we've had in our journey of caring for our senior dog. We've been to multiple animal hospitals over the years, and Dr. Kifle truly stood out. He listened carefully, explained everything thoroughly and honestly, and made us feel seen and supported. We walked in full of fear and walked out with peace of mind. The staff was also incredibly kind and patient. especially Jasmine, who took the time to answer our questions and ease our concerns. While the cost here is a bit higher than other places, we felt it was justified. Just make sure to ask what's included so you know what to expect. it was worth it for us, which is why we moved forward with treatment. I highly recommend this location. Huge thanks to Dr. Kifle and Jasmine. you made a stressful day so much easier.

Our family has been through a lot with Countryside Vet!…read more It is hard to find a vet that is comfortable examining exotics, let alone performing a surgery. Countryside not only performed a surgery to remove one of my guinea pig's eyes, but was also extremely caring and compassionate when pre-existing issues slowed the healing process. Countryside was again very sympathetic and kind when another of our guinea pigs passed away. We also have a senior dog that we have learned so much more about since bringing her to Countryside. Since we have had such a variety of veterinary needs, I think we have gotten to speak with each of the vets that work at Countryside and I would trust them all with my pets. Each vet takes the time to educate us on the issue and provide more information if needed. Every other staff member has very kind and friendly to us! I can see why someone would say their services are somewhat pricey, but you are paying for quality care. I know they are not here to take advantage of concerned pet-parents. Countryside had plenty of opportunities to overcharge me for follow-up visits or products, but were instead always compassionate and showed they genuinely cared about my pet's health. They also have an app and rewards program - which helps! I appreciate Countryside and the care they have given to our family so much, I continue using them even since moving out of the area. I absolutely recommend them for their amazing service from the vets and staff!

Since then he has hired another vet that doesn't communicate well and just came into the room with a whole bunch of vaccines and started injecting my cat! I told him she most likely already had the rabies one and he still gave it to her. Now she's head bounces around when I reach out to pet her. It's neurological damage from getting it 1 too many times. Recently took my dog in to have a few things looked at. Appointment went well but walked out $440 poorer. Now I call to get a spot removed on that same dogs' hip and the vet tech said the spot on her face or hip? I paused and said her hip. I started to ask why she asked about her face since nothing is wrong with her face. She said she was just asking. I started to try and confirm she had the right records pulled up and she put me on hold...I thought she had hung up on me. I called back and was out on hold again for 3 minutes. The same vet tech got on the phone and I tried to ask if she had the correct record and she started interrupting me. I said I was talking and to let me finish. She says "Oh my" and put me on hold! I hung up and tried to call back and now they won't answer. This is just two incidents out of a few that I've had and this was the final straw. I'm going elsewhere.
