The groomers were very courteous, but I honestly believe that an appointment should be an appointment and not "Your pet will be ready in 3 - 4 1/2 hours." I live a good distance from the store. I did everything I could to kill time. I came back at 3 hours and they started washing my pup after I came in! I told them that I would pay for any services that they had performed, but I couldn't wait any longer! I was told that they take pets in and rotate around and get to them when they can. Unacceptable! I made my appointment 10 days in advance! With an 11 o'clock appointment, my pet should be done at 12. Small dog/easy cut. My previous groomer (she moved) did an outstanding job full package in 50-55 minutes. Shame on you Petsmart! An appointment should be honored as an appointment or else just discontinue making appointments and "first come/first served." I will obviously not be coming back to this salon. The Petsmart salon in busy Roswell, Georgia kept to their appointments. Hopefully, the even further drive to Anderson Petsmart will show more professionalism. read more

My dogs are both six years old and I've had them groomed monthly since we got them and this was my worst experience ever in a dog grooming salon. From the time I dropped him off to the time I picked them up was not pleasant. They tried to upsell services that I did not want. She said it's cheaper to get the package however when she gave me the invoice it was clearly not cheaper so I asked her to remove the package. At the current prices of everything and grooming for two dogs, it's a hard pass for additional services. I get the call that they're ready for pick up but there's two additional $10 fees for tail matting. I told her I would have appreciated a call to approve these additional charges. She said I did call? WTF. She called when they were done. I spoke to the manager Michelle who said I initialed that there could be additional fees. I asked for a copy and she said I couldn't have one. I took a picture and looked at it and nowhere on what I signed or initialed. Does it say that they can up charge without contacting me and I mean nowhere. So the manager lied and was no better than the associate anything to make a buck but that's OK. They didn't get a tip this time because I had to spend it on their up charge. read more

Do not go here! Put choke leash on 6 lb dog going drag her to back. They said they do not carry the dogs. Big dogs everywhere. Anything could happen. Did not want to do cut as asked. Took my dog home. Never be back. After way they talked and acted I am not buying from the store anymore. read more

I have heard plenty of horror stories about Petsmart groomers but gave them a shot on a recommendation from a friend. I will NEVER take my puppy back there. He went in ok, and came out with his eye red and swollen. Petsmart said they would cover his vet visit and they are paying for his surgery. It was cherry eye which could have been caused by any type of stressor. Not necessarily intentional. read more

Do NOT get your pet groomed here. I do not know the requirements for groomers here, but the bar is set very low. I picked up my dog around 5:30 and there wasn't a single groomer in sight to tell me how it went. Plus, I had to get an employee from the front to go get my dog. The main reason I am writing this review is to tell pet owners if you want to keep your dog from getting nicked, cut, bloody, and not have to take them to the vet directly after...don't bring your dog here. I got our dog and realize on the way home that the groomer has CUT our dogs' ear to the point that it was bleeding and getting infected and not a single person at Petsmart said anything about it. See the attached photo of our dog who we know how to pay for medicine and doctor visits because of a groomer that didn't know what they were doing. read more

I was very upset with the services provided here. I paid to have my dogs nails trimmed and his paw beds shaved, yet I left without that. His paws were not shaved and only 1/4th of his nails were trimmed. Very disappointed, and will not be coming back to waste money on that again. read more

I take my miniature poodle to Randi every month and have for a year now. She always does a wonderful job. Not sure why people say they are rude. I've always found them to be really nice. As for nicking, it happens, especially if your dog is bit hyper. read more

My poor little Yorkie looks ridiculous. His hair is so uneven and way too short, it will take months to grow out so I can get him properly groomed.. So disappointed! I tried to schedule an appointment for my Daisy to be groomed and was told they did not have a copy of her vaccinations. This would of been the THIRD TIME IN A ROW I would have to provide the same paperwork. The grooming department definitely needs to get it together! read more

I would only go here as a last resort. I like to support local so try Saluda River Pet Store first. I normally like PetSmart but the Seneca location fails in my opinion. I live between three PetSmart locations but slightly closer to Seneca. I drove there today because according to the website what I needed for my dog was in stock. When I got there not only was it not in stock but the sales clerk said it might be on the truck arriving Tuesday. I needed it today so I drove to Anderson to get it. I wasted 45 minutes and 20 miles. If you absolutely have to use PetSmart go to the Anderson location. read more

Very disappointed. Took my Shih Tzu in to be groomed and asked for a specific cut. Was told that I couldn't get that cut that she recommended just a trim. I was asked to come back 3 hours later and did so. There were no other dogs being groomed so I asked if mine was ready. She hadn't even started on him yet but I could go ahead and pay if I'd like. She then charged me for the trim and told me to give her another half hour. Needless to say I did not leave a tip! read more

I read these two reviews yesterday AFTER my daughter had dropped off my granddog to be groomed here and I panicked! BUT when we picked up little Nova, she looked perfect! The groomer did an excellent job and the staff was so polite. I highly recommend Seneca's PetSmart grooomers. We could not be more pleased. I wish I could post a picture so you could see how perfectly she is groomed. read more

Not a bad place for supplies but they should NOT be selling animals. There was a ball python there (way overpriced) who had mites and rot on its mouth! He came up to me every time I passed him practically begging for help. It's so sad to see animals not being treated the right way and it's sad to see how oblivious all of the workers are to this. read more

I have been bring my golden doodle here for over four years. I have never had an issue with their haircuts, baths, or nail clipping. I have also found the groomers to be friendly and there is always someone in the office. read more

Groomer was extremely rude. I explained how I would be in Greenville during the day and she said they close at 6 so I just get her before then. She left a message when my pup was done and called again when I was on my way, but this phone call she was not pleasant. I walked in around 515 and she was rude to the point that I asked another associate. The groomer and another associate groomer exchanged multiple looks that made it uncomfortable. Also, they didn't even trim her tail so her body goes from shaved to bushy tail. Will not be back for grooming. read more

Trust me...I gave one star because that's the lowest rating available!! ABSOLUTE DREADFUL grooming experience!! My son took our shih tzu puppy for a groom yesterday and she looks AWFUL!! I've brought my 8 year old standard poodle to this Petsmart for grooming since it opened. He's well known to the grooming staff. I understand that not all groomers are the same, so I usually request a specific groomer, but I feel confident that all the groomers are properly trained and if I find otherwise, I can have my complaint answered. I have always gotten a satisfactory result. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, even when the salon is full and everyone is busy. My dog likes his groomer. I've used other groomers, both independent and other Petsmarts, and the Seneca Petsmart grooming salon has never harmed my dog or given a bad groom. I do feel sympathy for those who have had a bad experience and can only hypothesise that there was miscommunication or possibly a particular groomer was not doing quality work, which should have been reported to the salon manager (especially if the dog was injured!) read more
