Went to get some hills dog food as they had sent me some coupons. My vet won't take them anymore as hills won't reimburse them so they had to stop. Got some cans and headed for the counter. Since it's a prescription I had tht with me too. People lined up with one cashier working. After several minutes two more showed up he couldn't get my coupon to work. It wasn't expired. Then in small print he seen and showed me tht it was only good for a case. No thanks. So I passed on tht. Will no longer be supporting hills. read more

I've been to Petsmart for many years with many of my pets using grooming services, buying food, & toys etc. I thought they liked my dog. But I will not return. The groomer had my 8 y/o 70 lb dog jump off the grooming table when I came in for her. The table was 2-3 ft above the floor! I was horrified when I saw the back leg slip & extend out the the side. My dog did not yelp so I didn't say anything but wish I had. A couple of days later my dog was whining & wouldn't walk, just stood frozen for about 30 min. I got her to a vet who suspects it is a torn knee ligament. A week later I went up to store & talked to the managers to tell them so they would tell groomers to never EVER let dogs jump off a table 3 feet high. The vet recommended a brace in hopes it will mend w/o surgery. Mgrs. gave me their email & told me to send vet info & bills. No response , so I told them to at least respond regardless of their decision. So I will NEVER darken the doorway to ANY Petsmart ever! And I mean NEVER! Im not out for them to pay just asking they make sure it doesn't happened to another dog. It should be a franchise wide rule . It's been about a month since the "mistreatment" of my dog . Vet bills about $500 & increasing with therapy, adjuvant meds & other vets. Just want to warn all pet owners to tell groomers at MWC Petsmart NO JUMPING OFF tables for pets. As a farmer, most of my supplies are purchased at our local feed store. We ventured here after getting a new puppy and made a lot of impulse buys. I was pleased with our purchases until I went to another store and saw the same items for much lower prices. I do like that they have a wide variety of hard to find items just be sure to comparison shop if price is important to you. I'm never taking my sweet babies to this place again! I paid $200 to get my 3 lil babies & their nails grind only to NOT get any nails grind! Seriously I picked all 3 up & that's a huge job so I didn't check their feet & I definitely should have! I came home from being gone SEVERAL hours & my lil baby Izzy way hurt in a corner with her paw stuck in her collar from her nail & was hurting & crying! I felt terrible. I brought my seven month old baby Maltese to this location for an appointment to get his first set of shots. As we entered, he started to do a very, low bark because it was a new setting for him and he was scared. As soon as this occurred, Angela began repeating "no no no," in the background." In the meantime, a young reception approached the counter. I mentioned having an appointment. The receptionist then stated that she did not believe they could see my dog. When I asked why, Angela came running over and very aggressively stated that they have zero tolerance for aggression. My dog was not in the least bit, aggressive. I informed her that he was scared and gently placed my hand on his head to display that he was very calm. She then began to show her arm with a brace on it and repeated that they don't accept any type of dogs with aggression. She was very rude and unapologetic. She did not recommend any other location to me or tried to listen to me. She even went on to question how I care for my dog by asking if I ever take him outside and around people as if I cage my dog all day. Once she asked me this, I turned around and began to walk towards the entrance to avoid further confrontation. Angela then yelled out to me "I'm talking to you!!" I am in disbelief that someone would act in this manner and behave so poorly. read more

I have been taking both of my dogs to this Petsmart's grooming salon for about a year. They have never had any problems, or had a bad report after their baths, yet today a groomer "red flagged" them for aggressive behavior towards other dogs. My dogs have never shown aggression towards other dogs or humans-- they're the sweetest dogs I have had. We frequently take them for walks at parks and take them to dog parks, and they get along well with other dogs. They've gone to this salon nearly a dozen times, but suddenly there's a problem with their behavior-- something does not add up. One of my dogs has acted very skittish since picking her up, and the other has a sore on his leg that he did not have before-- seems as though the groomers had to be overly aggressive to control my excited dogs (which could have been completely avoided if they were properly trained on how to control dogs). Or possibly the group of dogs in the back did not mix well, so they immediately blame the Pit Bulls. I'm not sure exactly what happened since their report was not detailed whatsoever they just claimed my dogs were overly aggressive. ONCE AGAIN MY DOGS HAVE NEVER SHOWN AGGRESSION! I would not recommend taking your dogs to this store if they're big and excited dogs, since apparently their employees do not have to be trained to be able to handle such dogs. read more

THEY CUT A PIECE OF MY BABY'S EAR OFF when I got my dog groomed on September 12th 2022. I was next door at Target while she was being groomed during the express appointment and I got a phone call, and I was thinking that she was ready to be picked up. The groomer asked me if I dropped her off with a bloody ear!! I was completely confused. I said absolutely not, she was not bleeding and was perfectly fine when I dropped her off, that I would be right there. (She was completely healthy when I dropped her off and she is WHITE). When I arrived she had a chunk of her ear gone . Apparently the groomer was not present enough to trim her ears properly and had cut off a CHUNK of the ear closest to her head!! Her left ear was covered in blood and they tried to say that I had dropped her off like that! I let the doctor next door examine her, they gave me some antibiotics and I went home completely in shock along with my baby completely traumatized and in shock. My sweet baby thought I brought her somewhere so she could get hurt! Can YOU imagine?? Your dog thinks you bring her somewhere to actually get abused and get her ear cut off and then bring her home! I mean SERIOUSLY just think about it .. The next day I called the store manager LANCE to ask if he could provide me with pee pee pads, carpet cleaner, and some softer food because she's throwing up and she's pooping and peeing in my house. This is not her normal behavior but this is something from her traumatized injury. LANCE told me he could not help me. I am on a fixed income and do not have the money to spend on these things and LANCE said he could not help me. Here I am on friday, balling in the other room to not upset her, while my 22 year old son is rocking her to give me a moment. Every time I try to put ointment on her ear it starts bleeding profusely. I have to give her medicines so she doesn't get an infection. I can't afford to go get softer food for her. I can't afford to go get pee pee pads. I was accused of dropping off my baby that I have had before she had teeth, that I dropped her off with a chunk of her ear missing, maimed basically, dropped her off like that and expected them to groom her!!? Are you kidding me?? Do not bring your babies up there!!! I have been a loyal customer to PetSmart for a year and a half! I have brought both of my babies up there and paid for the express grooming every single time for both of my babies, and they couldn't even help me with some soft food, pee pee pads, and some carpet cleaner!? The store manager was more apathetic than empathetic!! This is how you get repaid by being a loyal customer to PetSmart! With all of the options out there and for a year and a half I've stuck with PetSmart and this is how they repaid me! By cutting off a chunk of my dog's ear and then not helping me through the healing process. read more

Here's the photos of what they call a summer cut & wash, with an price listed that didn't come with a package price?overcharged for a nail job that wasn't including. First price was $232.00. Then they split it in half for $116.00, spoke with the Mgr reveal letting him know that Pet Smart in Norman, Moore Oklahoma never change that amount! The only real reason I was there with because their shop was the only one open doing the Coronavirus. I should have looked at the ratings first!! They didn't have any appointments at that time. I have no self control when it comes to Petsmart. I just want my doglets to have everything in the world, so I can't stop. I've had to pawn this chore off on Mr K because he can stick to the list for the most part. They have everything Gertie and Chupacabra desire: healthy dog food (Nutro Ultra) and Dently's chews, doggie slim jims, you know, all the good stuff. Leashes for walking, but don't you dare forget the bags. I wonder how much money I've spent in here in the two years since I got my first pup! Oh well, helping the economy, right? I've always had good customer service, and friendly dealings with everyone. I don't get my dogs groomed at Petsmart because of a bad experience with that one time at a different location, where they shaved her for no reason at all. I agree with the others: very clean and not stinky for a place that probably has lots of accidents happen! Watch for sales. This is the Petsmart where we adopted our dog from OKC Animal Welfare, so it'll always have a good place in my heart. The staff are always friendly, and the store seems to be well stocked and clean. When we adopted here we received a coupon for a free 30 min training session. I can't say the trainer here impressed us much. She mostly used the 30 minutes to lecture us and tell us to be good people. We tried another Petsmart (the one in Moore) and the trainer there seemed much more knowledgeable. read more

The grooming salon here is wonderful! When we first adopted our rescue [great pyrenees] she had matted fur and was covered in ticks and sores. I spent 8 hours grooming her myself and finally caved and brought her in. They spent HOURS working on her and didn't charge me extra. They took such good care of her and helped us get her healthy! read more

Not happy with my dog's haircut. We had just adopted her and she was all pee stained. We asked them to bathe her and cut off the yellow hair and instead we waited hours for her to look cute and pee stained instead of clean with no pee stains and she still felt dingy in places. I had to cut it off myself at home. It was 6 pm and we had no intention of driving way out there again to get it fixed. read more

This is a pretty straightforward location with your expected pet finds. I enjoy the adoptions they have for animals in need. Some are even disabled. We take our large dogs here for the Banfield vet services, and they do a great job. One of our dogs has a hip problem to which they prescribed pills that have been helping with the pain. Needed my dogs to get groomed today and couldn't find a place. After reading these reviews I didn't want to call but after calling 15 other places I decided to call here and I would just wait in the store and watch them groom my dogs. When I answer the phone there is a lady in the background complaining about my dogs size and breed. Then the lady on the phone says " don't look at me " like hello customer still on the phone here !! If you can't even give me some respect over the phone what makes you think I want to book an appointment with you to groom my babies ?? Petsmart do better. I know that if you have people who don't like animals working for you then you should reevaluate your workplace and staff. I never do reviews but I almost took my babies to these people. If ever I need something for my dog, this one stop shop has it all. Toys, treats, flea & tick prevention, oh my! Big selection of fish, smaller selection of cage pets like birds, rodents, and more. They have a constant cat adoption center and they do dog adoptions on weekends. Their grooming facility has always shown great results, just call ahead and schedule an appointment. They also have a vet clinic called Banfield. The employees here are very courteous and helpful, and have saved me money on numerous occasions. read more

This Banfield Hospital location misdiagnosed my cat and he almost died. By the time I got in to see a specialist, it was almost too late. Be careful of their wellness plan. Its a trap. Even if you try to cancel it, you will still get charged monthly til the end of the contract. I found the front desk staff to be very sweet and caring. The vets however are a different story. The first vet I saw was very nice but she misdiagnosed my cat. When I tried to return on a later date with a few questions, the vet that was working that day refused to see me or answer my questions. All of these petsmart clinics switch out on vets frequently. They can have several different vets in one week. My warning to you all is to find a smaller vet practice you can trust and take your pets there. read more

I like this place, except for one thing. A lot of times when I go in there to buy dog food or whatever, there's this monster employee, a woman who can be heard from anywhere in the store just screaming at dogs in a brutal tone. It's so unsettling to hear her treat dogs so badly. She's the trainer so I imagine she fully believes she's got some "scare dogs until they act right" kind of thing going on, but it's horrible. Yesterday I took my Papillon in to the Petsmart store in Midwest City, OK for a bath and nail grinding. When I picked her up I was in a rush and did not check her over. This morning I was petting her and noticed that the top of her head felt like the hair was more coarse than I remembered. After noticing the way her head felt I looked and noticed that she had been clipped, not just on her head but also her feet, ears, tail and britches. Papillons are never supposed to be trimmed because their coat takes years to develop. My dog is 10 years old and had a wonderful coat, ears, tail and britches and was a great example of how a Papillon is supposed to look. Now she looks like a poorly done patchwork quilt. When I dropped her off for her bath I specifically informed the groomers that she was not to be trimmed under any circumstance. However an incompetent groomer, Joshua K, took it upon himself to totally mess up a dog who had been developing her coat for over 10 years. You would think that a groomer should be familiar with how to trim or not trim specific breeds, however this incompetent has no idea what he is doing. This morning when I called the store to complain and explained to the manager how he had messed up the grooming on my dog all she had to offer was a refund of my grooming fee. She is going to allow this know nothing groomer to continue to be employed so he can ruin someone else's pet. It is my intention to contact Corporate Headquarters and register a very formal complaint about the incompetence in grooming and management of this location. When a pet's coat is ruined after 10 years of careful grooming there should be repercussions for the groomer, especially when I left specific instructions on how to handle my pet. A groomer who takes it upon himself to make decisions against an owner's instructions is detrimental to any organization. Joshua K. has no business being employed as a groomer at any grooming shop. His aptitude is more along the line of flipping burgers at McDonald's. I highly recommend that no one take their pet in to this grooming shop. They have only one competent groomer, his name is Darius, he should be the manager of the grooming department and be allowed to hire experienced groomers. Never again will I set foot in any Petsmart and I will inform all of my friends as well as anyone who reads my blogs that they should avoid Petsmart nationwide, they are incompetent and they are overpriced on their products. I highly suggest that before you spend your hard earned dollar in one of these stores you compare prices on the products that you require and definitely seek grooming service elsewhere. read more
