    BEFORE we took her.

This place is TERRIBLE. They did a HACK JOB, of a haircut on my 4 month old puppy, who now looks 12. They charged us for a full cut and bath for a trim around her eyes. They said she was squirmy/scared/biting-fine, but why did they continue and then cut?? Why wouldn't you stop if it's "unsafe" for both the groomer and dog? They chose to keep cutting. The manager Nicky agreed to a full refund and the manager Ron refused to give us the refund. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. I waited a total of 26 minutes on HOLD, to speak to someone and it took me SIX times to call them before I could have a full conversation with a manager. This is ridiculous and unacceptable, customer service in this place is horrendous. We laughed in the end because HOLY shxt!

Absolutely AWFUL! We dropped off our dog to have her groomed & trimmed to about a 3" length. When we came in to pick her up we saw her like this! Completely SHAVEN!!! Never again will we take her to PetSmart. She looks like she has cancer! When we asked for a refund they offered us $5 off. Definitely not happy!!

I've held off on leaving this review in hopes that the owner of Camp Bow Wow would reach out to me…read moreas promised. He never did -- which says everything you need to know about how this place is run and how little they truly care about the dogs in their care. On May 10th, I dropped off my 4-month-old golden retriever puppy, Doug, for daycare. Around 4 PM, I got a call from a staff member named Anna saying Doug had been injured while playing and was bleeding. She said I "may want to take him to the vet" but left it up to me. Naturally, I was shocked and immediately asked, "Is he okay? What happened?" They said his gum was punctured while playing with another puppy. Okay -- accidents happen. But here's the kicker: this happened at NOON. They waited FOUR HOURS to tell me my puppy was injured and bleeding. That is completely unacceptable and irresponsible. I asked why there was such a delay in notifying me. Anna -- who had just gotten into work -- apologized and said her manager was present when it happened but chose not to contact me. Let me be clear: I am trusting you with the care of my young puppy, and when he gets hurt and bleeds, you don't even have the decency to call me immediately? I was livid. Not only was this dangerous for Doug, but it also put me in a horrible situation because my regular vet closes at 2 PM on Saturdays. Instead of having the option of taking him to our trusted vet, I was left with the much more expensive and time consuming (who wants to make their nervous pup wait hours at a vet?) option of an emergency vet -- all because they didn't pick up the phone. I told them I'd be right there (I live 5 minutes away), and as soon as the manager found out I was coming, she left. No accountability whatsoever. Anna was amazing -- the only bright spot in this disaster. She was sincerely apologetic and even admitted they've had ongoing management issues. She told me the owner, Nick, would call me on Monday and even offered to cover vet bills if I took Doug to their preferred vet. That call never came. The next day, I got a call from Sienna (I believe that's her name), who apologized for not calling sooner and for leaving before I arrived. She claimed the delay was due to her "reviewing the footage" -- which is a terrible excuse. I made it clear I didn't care how it happened, just that someone should have told me IMMEDIATELY. She agreed she had no excuse but still managed to shift blame by saying Doug was playing more roughly than the other dog. He's a puppy. They play rough. That's expected. Don't try to blame a puppy for your negligence. Again -- this isn't about the injury. Accidents happen. I completely understand that. What I don't understand -- and won't accept -- is the complete lack of urgency, transparency, and responsibility. I spent the weekend flushing Doug's mouth, cleaning up blood, and watching him like a hawk because you failed to do your job. Luckily, Doug is okay -- his regular vet advised us to monitor him closely, as antibiotics are not ideal for such a young puppy. But the real issue? Not only did Nick, the owner, never call me -- even after being told I was expecting it -- but I haven't heard anything from him to this day. I did get an email from another staff member asking how Doug was doing, and I responded that he was better but never heard back. No accountability. No follow-up. No professionalism. It's heartbreaking because Doug loved daycare. He had so much fun and would get excited every time we pulled into the parking lot. But thanks to this experience, we can no longer trust anyone else with his care. You've completely ruined that for us. And you've also lost what would've been regular business -- we had planned to use your grooming services and board Doug for an upcoming trip. Not anymore. To top it all off, if you watch the live cameras, you'll notice that most of the time, the staff is just sitting around chatting -- not watching the dogs like they should be. Extremely disappointed, furious, and heartbroken. Do NOT bring your dog here if you expect them to be well cared for. Because if something goes wrong, you may never even find out -- until it's too late.

She's very old now but I still bring her because she enjoys it so much even though she is crippled with arthritis now. I pay a little extra for her to get 15 minutes of snuggles when she's there and she is a very happy puppy. They are diligent about giving medications exactly correctly and anything else you could want from them. I love this place and my dog loves this place. It's so much better than just boarding a dog in a little kennel where it's miserable for weeks. Here they are allowed to play all day and they are not stuck in kennels except perhaps at bedtime I'm not sure how that works.

Last year, we got Ginger to be his pal. Unfortunately, we now live in Wyoming. Though we seriously thought about sending her to California, that was a bit overwhelming. But, low and behold, we found that Emily took her training to Colorado! Though it was a 5 hour drive each way, we knew the training, and wanted it for 7 month old Ginger as well. Ginger stayed with Emily alone for the first two weeks, then we brought Rudy down to join her for her last week of training. The refresher was excellent for him, and the two of them learned how to work together. The result is that I now have TWO well behaved pups. They are great off leash, which is important because they get their exercise on the golf course immediately behind our house. When golfers show up, the pups stay in place until the golfers move on. Perfect! Ginger was young when she received her training, so we continue to work with her on her skills. I would say that she is a good 90% of where I would like her to be. Excellent! A dog who knows its parameters and what is expected is a happy dog. Thanks so Emily's fantastic work, we are a very peaceful and content family. My arm stays in the socket because Ginger no longer darts for what ever catches her eye. The two of them walk beside me like champs. You really, really NEED to take your dog to Emily. Ever since Nugget was a pup, he dealt with anxiety and listening skills (as in not having any) and didn't have any way to cope with his problems. He would charge at people and dogs, which eventually got him kicked out of a local boarding facility. We tried everything from medications to CBD oils and nothing would work. My husband and I travel a lot so we needed to come up with another solution. From our first phone call with Emily, we knew that she would be able to help us so we signed Nugget up for a 3 week board and train program. Drop off was smooth and we immediately felt comfortable leaving our dog with Emily for a few weeks. There was no direct communication during the 3 weeks (no news is good news plan), but Emily is very good about posting on the EC Dog training Instagram. Seeing Nugget's progress every few days was very helpful to us and put our minds at ease! We've been home with Nugget for over a week now and I can't even begin to describe how much he has changed! With simple commands and use of his e-collar we can eat meals in peace while he's in a "placed" position, he sleeps in his crate overnight (8-9 hours), and he walks on a shorter leash without pulling ahead like he used to do. We can also put Nugget in a "placed" position when people or dogs are around and he has learned to be calm and release any anxiety that used to cause him to lash out. He's had amazing progress so far and with the tools that Emily has instilled in us, Nugget will definitely be able to continue down a positive path to becoming a well-behaved doggo!

When we moved into an apartment complex, he became extremely reactive on walks and needed more frequent walks because he no longer had the option of zoomies in the backyard. He wouldn't bark at people or dogs but he'd still be super stressed out when we passed them or were near them and it was just unavoidable in that neighborhood. After his training there, the difference was insane. He was so much more confident and definitely got to actually enjoy his walks. That alone is worth 5 stars but hold on, cause there's so much more. We've moved to a country in Europe. We thought we had everything taken care of for his travel but found out a week before departure that an i or a t had been missed and we wouldn't be able to take him with us.
