This camp may be good for adult dogs, but it's not a good camp if you have to board a young puppy. We took our two ranch dogs who had never had professional grooming. They are 9 years old! Prior arrangements made but initially it was thought that the services would not be available. We had driven 5 hours to get there! They came through, some how, and we are extremely pleased with the results!!!! Mats gone, shedding almost eliminated.... On our return trip we stopped in Salida for a meal. Outside dining with the dogs. People continually came by to ask to pet them and comment on how beautiful they looked. My Shih Tzu was recently rehomed into my care- as her previous owner could no longer take care of her. She came to me as matted as possible and without trimmed nails, for God knows how long. She needed some serious TLC and the closest shave possible. I made an appointment with Savannah V. as soon as I could. When I had brought her in, I had explained the situation and that she may have some anxiety. Savannah was absolutely incredible to my girl. Quick, efficient, and gave my pup the best care possible. My dog is so much happier and friendly, now that her feet aren't hurting her and doesn't have so much fur weighing her down. My dog stayed one night at Pets Hotel. Now two weeks later and after many hours waiting to see a vet, he has been diagnosed with kennel cough. He has not been around any dogs and we didn't add any play time while he stayed overnight. The kennels need a deep clean. Petsmart online is inefficient and just plain doesn't care. Ordered prescription dog food in the morning online for pickup at the store and still no confirmation email that it was ready by 5pm. I've ordered this food online before with the same vet and uploaded a prescription card - discovered all the details were removed from the system so I had to start over. Called the store and they pulled the bags. Called customer service to cancel the order and realized they never asked for information on the order - had to call back. The only reason I order online is because I have to give my vet's prescription to Banfield to get their prescription card. Very frustrating!! If I had a local alternative (and Chewy is Petsmart and just as bad) I would use it. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I rented a carpet shampooer from them twice. The first time, no issues. The next time, my fiance returned it and it had a few strands of hair in it, and I mean a couple strands. It's a shampooer from a pet store, so yeah it will have some hair. The manager, Megan, was very rude to my fiance from the second he returned it. She gave him dirty looks and had an attitude and put him down. I offered to take the machine back and have my fiance pick it up and they refused to give it to him. I then went in later and another manager, Molly, had the same rude attitude and disrespectful remarks to me and threatened to charge me more money that she had no right to take from me. We had to cancel his debit card because they took money off of it. read more

The people at our store went above and beyond taking care of our dog when we were out of town. She got very sick and had to go to the pet emergency hospital. One of their people went with her and stayed there with her for a couple of hours to make sure she would be ok. We can't thank them enough! read more

Don't bring your puppies to this daycare! This PetSmart is the only day care in town that won't take puppies if they're under 16 weeks of age, even though you have a complete immunization history and all shots are up to date. Made an appointment for my 14 year old dog to be groomed. He as been groomed at PetSmart his ENTIRE LIFE, Ohio, Massachusetts, and other towns in Colorado. So he is in their system along with his yearly shot records. We were asked to provide his updated shot record, which I brought with me. However, they refused to accept it as both my dogs were listed on the paper( our puppy on the top the old guy on the bottom). And there was only one rabies tag. Now I did point out that looking at it the puppy was too young for the rabies vax and the tag was taped by the vet office to the bottom next to the older dogs name and that they had all his previous records on file showing that he has consistently been vaccinated but nope no dice. I couldn't prove which dog got the shot. And yes both dogs are now vaccinated! They did attempt to call the vet to confirm but their office was already closed. Also the young woman with the purple hair that made the decision to send us away was not polite about it. In fact quite rude. So I drove 28 minutes in the snow to be sent away, a lifelong PetSmart customer no more ! I will also add that we promptly went down the road to their competitors who treated us well and had no issue with the record I provided. If I could give zero stars I would have. I should have known better as my husband bought fish here ( which died shortly after getting them home )and was treated rudely by the person who was helping him. read more

I love this store for everything EXCEPT the grooming salon. First, every time I come in for a scheduled appointment, the ladies working always seem irritated and act like I'm interrupting them. Excuse me...I made an appointment and was there on time. If you don't like having customers, maybe find a different line of work instead of being a bitch to your paying customers. I have 2 cavalier King Charles spaniels, both of which have a bum back leg that has required expensive surgeries. One has extremely long hair, and lots of it; the other, not so bad. I've brought them both here a few times, and haven't been very pleased on any occasion. The one with lots of long hair, they always want to shave all her ear hair off with the excuse that it's matted, even if here's little or no matting. The one time they actually did, and it took forever to grow back. The next time, I specified to NOT shave her ears; they did very little that time, but I had to argue with the lady about it first for like 5 mins. The not so hairy one, I recently brought in for a grooming; I asked for no hair cut and just to trim the hair on her feet. Upon picking her up, they had not trimmed any hair, even the toes like was requested. And it was still $40! On top of the rudeness, I question how gentle they are with the dogs. My girls are super friendly and always have their tails wagging, except when I've picked them up from here. They seemed scared and eager to GTFO. I've also mentioned the bag leg issues, and am pretty certain they just don't care, based on my experiences as a whole. I've decided to find another place for grooming at this point. They are rude and seem like they just want to get done the fastest way possible (shave baby shave!) instead of wanting to make the dog look good. read more

I have been taking my dog to this store for his nails for 7 years, while I have been put off by their poor record keeping I stayed, no more not after today....1st off they could not locate our records on their system, this happens every time we are there, in June we updated his shot records and today they tell me that they have no record of him since January and would not dremel his nails, after speaking with the manager I now see why they are so inept as he could barely hold a conversation. I left 2 Yorkies for 4 weeks due to a family emergency with instructions to brush their coats every 3 days. And the youngest one needed supplemental meals to support her growth due to her age. I supplied the food, grooming tools, bedding, dishes, probiotics, etc. I gave them 3 pages of notes because the youngest one had special needs. They assured me that all would be taken care of. I also requested that they be groomed before I picked them up. The day before I was due to pick them up the salon called to inform me that the youngest dog had to be shaved because she was so matted! When I discussed this with the manager she said that if I wanted them brushed I should have made arrangements with the salon! Since the dogs have been home I have discovered that the oldest one has lost a pound, the young one went from 3.9 pounds to 3 pounds. And they both cringe and shake when I get the brush out to groom them! They have been home almost 2 weeks now and are just starting to act normal again. With time I hope to see them feisty and happy once more. I feel that they were mistreated to say the least!! I can't believe that they made me pay for that!!!!! read more

The grooming department at this location is ridiculous. Their hours online and ON THE DOOR OF THEIR STORE clearly state they are open until 9pm and they aren't at all. I have shown up twice at 7pm for a quick nail trim for my tiny dog and they are closed every time. Their corporate office needs to get involved and fix this. It's very frustrating. read more

NOT HAPPY!!!! Went in this morning to buy fish for my granddaughters, aged 2 and 4. Was helped by a young, blonde girl with glasses. After picking the fish, she then advised us that we shouldn't get the fish until after the tank was prepped. We do not have that kind of tank, it's just a small tabletop box with no motor. I said I wanted to get the fish anyway since the girls had been so excited and I said I didn't want the girls to leave disappointed since I had to go back to Florida the next day. She suddenly became very uncooperative, and although she gave us the fish, she was no longer quite as "helpful" and pretty much dismissed us right then and there. The fish manager Brain, dudes a joke. His staff didn't know what type of fish they had on staff. When I was sitting there debating which fish I wanted, he looked at me as though I was wasting his time. Brain it's your job to wait on the customer. Then when I was ready he left right then for at least 10 minutes. Long story short I came in another day and mentioned to another customer about the "real fish stores which top quality service. Brain got mad Called up the other fish stores complaining I was pooching customers from "pets mart". Customers deserve to have a right to know where they can get great service at competitive prices. read more

I love everything about this location BESIDES the grooming department. Yesterday I had scheduled an appointment for my puppy to get groomed at 6. Earlier today they had called to confirm my appointment, which was great. About an hour or so later the same person had called me saying that she could not take my dog in because somebody else had an appointment at that time. First off, why was the time available online & second, why would she of called me to confirm my appointment if she knew that somebody else was scheduled at that time. Later I called back because I need my dog groomed and the receptionist of the grooming department was very nice and apologetic and scheduled me for an appointment at 7. Not even 10 minutes later I got another call from a different lady saying that it was not going to work, as she proceeds to tell me that the receptionist of the grooming area doesn't know what she is doing. Overall, very unprofessional and unorganized department. Will definitely be picking another location for my dogs grooming services. read more

We had our 6 month old retriever staying at the Pet's hotel for4 days. The people there are all very nice and seem to love dogs and caring for them. Let me mention that our pup is completely housebroken. She has never wet her crate or peed in the house. But when we picked her up he bed was soaking wet. It couldn't have been just from one pee but many over the 4 days. We threw the bed away as soon as we left the store. We felt very sad and disappointed about that. We will not board her there again. I am giving this review 3 stars because we really do like the pet classes and those should 5 stars. read more

Worst groomer ever! We brought our wheaten terrier in for a bath and cut. They completely shaved her. The groomer said she was matted (she was not) even the report card I received said her hair was soft and in good shape. It was pure laziness on the groomers part.
