The Grooming Dept. is terrific! My 2 dachshunds have been groomed by Sarah for the past few years. One of my dogs is long haired. Sarah always asks me what length to cut his hair. She now knows what we want but asks any way! She does a great job, radiates her love for her job and my "boys" get so excited when they see her! I recommend Sarah and her co-workers to you and your fur babies!!!! read more

I talked to groomers SEVERAL times saying I want him looking like he does now, only trim his private parts. He had alittle matting on his chin. In their opinion, this meant trim his face to make him unrecognizable. I am disgusted and will not be back. read more

We talked with the groomer giving her detailed instructions which areas to trim and not trim. We also left a picture of the breed for her to use. She obviously ignored our verbal requests and didn't use the picture as a guide because when we picked up our little dog, she looked nothing like the breed photo. She shaved areas on her face and cut other areas too short. No thanks to her incompetence, our family Christmas photo has now been cancelled. My advice (warning) to anyone considering taking their pet to be groomed at Petsmart is DON'T DO IT!!! They will groom your pet how they want and not how you asked them to do it. This location must have a manager that knows what they are doing regarding care of animals. Their reptile exhibits are always clean and have the correct temperature and humidity levels. That is rarely seen in any pet store. (Although, I don't recommend buying animals from big pet stores. Find a breeder or rescue shelter) The rest of this location is clean, animals appear to be well taken care of and they have the BEST staff. I took my dog to the groomers for a bath and a clip, and unfortunately, his paw was cut in the process, causing him to bleed. I had to take him to the vet for treatment. I was advised to return this month for a full grooming session. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was initially told they couldn't accommodate me. However, the store manager assured me that I could bring my dog in for the grooming. I am frustrated and confused because of the conflicting information I have received. read more

This PetSmart is an unprofessional establishment. Since I'm in college, I called this location to search for an emotional support animal. I was hoping to get a kitten so I called asking if there were any available for adoption. over the phone they told me that there were some available I proceeded to ask then the age restriction to adopt they gave me a false answer and told me to come on in to visit the kittens. I paid $20 for 20 min ride to this Petsmart just to be told that I had to be 21 to adopt, I am upset because I wasted money and got my hopes up when I tried avoiding this by calling. Very unprofessional and there's a lot of miscommunication in this store. read more

As my husband stated in the review below. This location is horrible. I took my dog in to get groom note we were in town visiting for the holiday. I've taken my dog to PetSmart plenty of times in dallas. I'd figure this location would do the same kind of grooming. My dog looks like SHIT! It took me three times to take in that this my dog. I've added a before and after of my dog. It's going to take my dog 6-8 weeks for his hair to grow back. I do not think I should have even paid $62 for this shitty ass service! The staff is friendly and the dog trainer is pretty good. I find her a bit scatter brained which can be annoying when she sometimes randomly changes the training schedule or spends your training time telling a story in a rather long way. But she is very flexible and is totally willing to work with your schedule. She is super nice and accommodating and really knows dogs. The other staff are really helpful as well and there is a good selection. The staff I've dealt with have been really knowledgeable, able to answer questions and willing to assist you. I wish I could give this less than one star, because that's more deserving. Today I went in for a Guinea pig for my students that is being covered by a grant. On my way to the small pets and supply section, I couldn't help but notice all of the dead beta fish. I stopped counting at 5. The ones that weren't already dead were close. Most had shrunk in size and lost their vibrant colors. I was completely appalled at the lack of care for these fish, that it made me second guess getting the Guinea pig from here, which they had none of anyways, thankfully. Then I saw another shelf of beta fish and the same scene as before; all but one was either dead or on the brink of death. Based on how filthy the building appeared and floors inside, I should have known. I would NEVER come back here or buy anything from this location. Truth be told, I am writing this only because MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. Don't laugh when a customer photographs the dead fish either. You should have fed them!!!! This location clearly cares nothing about their animals. I left infuriated because workers stood around talking and visiting while clearly work needs to be done. If I were the manager or district manager, I would be ashamed. Care for the animals better, please! read more

This location of PetSmart never seems to have what I go in looking for. A cat that I am taking care of had surgery and I needed to find a small cone collar. I could not find anyone on the floor to ask, so i asked the girl at the counter. She looked at the petite cat i had and said that she was pretty sure they only had stuff for animals about three times his size. So small animals having surgery are out of luck. My friend walked into another pet supplies store and immediately found about 5 cone collars that would work, bought it, and brought it to me. Another time, I was looking for a flea deterrent, and they didn't have the right dosage. However, I went last week and I did have my first great experience. After a very long day, I needed a dewormer for a cat in my care. Apparently this location only carries one of the products advertised on the website, and they were all out. I must have looked quite annoyed as it had been a very long day, and an employee in another section came and told me he was sure he could find it in the office. He went in and found what I needed and was quite friendly. Thankfully, I had that good experience. I'll keep trying the store because it's convenient, but if this location doesn't get its act together, i'll just have to try somewhere else. read more

Go to Puppy Training here with Kathleen - she is knowledgeable, thorough and patient. You will follow a good plan and practice schedule and make progress. This Pet Smart location is well managed and employees have always shared helpful pet information and product recommendations for our houseful of pets. Grooming too! Stopped by for cat food and supplies to start my new freshwater planted aquarium. We found everything in stock and the store was clean. The only minor complaint I have with PetSmart and it seems to be all stores we have visited is that they keep items in their tanks that they no longer sell. I specifically saw something I wanted but they no longer carried it in the store which was unfortunate. The associate mentioned that those items had been in the case for several years and they just never change them out. If you want to sell more items, demonstrate them, and what a better way than putting them in your own tanks to show customers how they look in a tank rather than sitting on a shelf. read more

OMG the grooming salon here is fantastic! !! I'm so in love with my 80 pound doggie sons groomers I tipped each of them $5 just because how much they cared for my buddy boy do NOT go to the one on mall dr unless you don't care about your pet that much. Hell I drive 10 miles one way and wait for buddy in the parking lot because they are so amazing here and I have to always take the last appt of the day since my dog absolutely HATES other animals :( petsmart has always handled that very well and professional but the groomers at this petsmart definitely outdid themselfs and my buddy boy will definitely be the most clean smelling doggie in baton rouge from now that's for sure read more
