I have worked in veterinary offices previously and never knew this to be any type of policy at vet facilities in: FL, SC or NC. Normally offices are just thankful you are providing care for your animals. It seemed to be more about the receptionist that helped me than anything. I explained I lived 16 miles away. I could understand her saying "our policy is..." Next time please plan ahead". She was rude and I am sad to say I was rude back. All she had to do was pull up the med, print out the label and charge me for it. She has done it before so I don't understand why this visit was different. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. The vet there is awesome. Sad the front person isn't a reflection of that.

I have a 75 lbs. 19-month old puppy who refuses to get in the car so hadn't been to the groomer in months. He stunk to high heavens and his nails were very long. Dirty Paws promptly responded to my inquiry with a very reasonable rate and arrived promptly at the appointed time. Kim was patient to let my nervous giant pup get to know her before magically getting him into her van. She returned him to our door a while later smelling fantastic and with beautifully clipped paws. Humane Society recommended Mountain View in Pendleton. They gave Zeena an xray, antibiotic, pain meds, plus anesthesia to work on him, and the visit fee, ALL for under $300! The same would have been over $900 at Electric City. It's nice to know there is a beautiful facility with caring people who don't take advantage of our deep affection for our fur babies! Last time we boarded, Mary had called us to let us know there was blood in one of the labs urine which when we got back our poor baby was treated for a UTI! We had no clue prior to this about the UTI, no indication was seen with our lab. They are so great and caring with our fur babies.
